REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY
REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY
Replacement
theology is an old Catholic tradition that dates all the way back to
Constantine. In uniting his kingdom so that Pagans and Christians could
peacefully coexist, he found that he must distance Christians from their Judeo/
Christian roots. Jews do not assimilate. It is not in their nature to
assimilate, for God created them to be separate both culturally and spiritually
from the world.
So with
the blending of pagan and Christian cultures, the Jews got left behind and as the
Catholic organization began to acquire both political and spiritual authority
over the world, they did not desire to share their authority with anyone,
especially those who were called God’s chosen people.
So, to
further distance themselves from the Jews, they began to change times and laws and
Calendars. They replaced the Jewish Feast Days and Sabbaths with pagan holidays
and Sabbaths and they literally slaughtered and burned at the stake millions of
Judeo/Christians who saw pagan Christianity for what it was and refused to adopt
these false teachings and this illegitimate authority.
Meanwhile
pagan Christians began to teach that the Jews had been rejected by God and that
the church had now replaced the Jewish nation as God’s chosen people. They
began to teach that God’s promises to Israel were conditional and when they
rejected their Messiah, it was all over for them. God had moved on to embrace
Christianity as His chosen people. We had become the true Israel.
Now
this is true in a sense. In Christ we ARE now God’s chosen people and we ARE
true Israel, but not by replacing the Jews. We became God’s chosen people by
being grafted into the Jewish family tree. (Romans 11) Like Jesus told the Samaritan
woman, “salvation is of the Jews and that has not changed.
The
Bible has stated very clearly that by faith in Jesus Christ we become Abraham’s
seed and heirs according to promise. Romans 11 clearly states that a partial
blindness has been imposed upon Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has
come in and then God will deal with the Jews once again. And as Ephesians 2
clearly says, God’s goal is to break down the dividing wall between Jews and
Gentiles so that we will become one new man in Christ and if we don’t like it,
then we must consider that the New Jerusalem is just that, THE NEW JERUSALEM!
And its foundations are the 12 Jewish apostles and its 12 gates are the 12
tribes of Israel and its God is the Jewish Messiah Yeshua.
So our
traditions, born out of the religion of antichrist has become the false
doctrine that runs many denominations today and up until 1948 there was no
particular reason to believe otherwise, since the Jews were a despised race
that had been all but wiped off the face of the earth and the chances of their
ever coming back into their own land was so astronomically slim, that scholars
found that many Bible prophecies concerning the future of Israel had to be
allegorized. It could not be literal, since there was no hope of Israel ever
becoming a nation again.
Unfortunately,
in spite of the fact that one of the greatest miracles in earth’s history has
taken place and the Jews are back in their homeland, with their Jewish culture
and religion and their Hebrew language and in spite of the fact that the desert
has once again bloomed like a rose and that tiny nation of Israel has become
one of the top ten most powerful nations on the planet… traditions are hard to
change and so many Christians still cling to the old Catholic tradition of
replacement theology. Many Christians today do not pay attention to Israel, nor
do they see its role in end time Biblical prophecy and because of it, they are
running deaf, dumb and blind as to what is actually going on in the world.
Israel
is at the center of the world’s attention today. Jerusalem has become that “cup
of trembling” found in Zechariah 12… the Valley of dry bones has come to life… the
nations was born in a day and Jews from every nation from which they have been
scattered are coming back to Israel just as the word says they will in many
places. (Read Amos 9… Ezekiel 37 for starters)
But old
traditions are hard to break and doctrines are hard to change and admitting
that we might have been wrong about God’s continuing plans for the Jews is even
harder.
But as
I open my Bible and I see every single prophecy being fulfilled to the letter
in Israel, I have had to warn my fellow Christians that we have been wrong
about God’s plans for the Jews and if we don’t watch it, we will at some point
become willfully ignorant of God’s plans and we will be found in rebellion
against God’s Word and His plans.
Unfortunately,
many Jews are just as ignorant as are Christians and so now they are making
nice with the Pope and with the globalist leaders to rebuild their third temple
and to be accepted by the world. To them rebuilding the temple is pure joy and
a sign that Messiah is about to come… but to us who know Bible prophecy, there
is the heartache of knowing that they will receive an imposter first. Satan’s
great desire is to reign on earth in the place of Christ. Their long awaited
Messiah will first be the antichrist and not the Christ.
This
desire to rule in the place of Christ has long been manifested through the
Papacy and its setting up of a Vicar of Christ in the world, and discouraging
personal Bible study, as well as forbidding a personal relationship with Jesus
outside the church. But Satanic desire is culminating in the grand prize… a
combined Jewish and Christian global kingdom that includes all religions as
being equal and the ultimate rule of the antichrist and the false prophet as
portrayed in Revelation 13 and 17 and 18.
Satan will
rule the world in the place of Christ and he will enforce his mark of
allegiance upon everyone so that no one may buy or sell unless they have that
Mark. So the technology is now in place to track and to control every human on
the planet. The quantum computers along with the (now being installed 5G
network) will be able to do everything the Bible says it will do and we are
presently entering into a time that will make the Dark Ages look like a picnic…
Jesus said so… and it will in turn make the Holocaust look small, for in the coming
holocaust 2/3s of the Jews will be horribly destroyed and only the remnant 1/3
will flee to the mountains when the Abomination of Desolation takes place in
the temple.
I wish
I could tell you definitively what it means when Romans 11:25 says that a
partial hardening has happened to Israel , ”UNTIL THE FULNESS OF THE GENTILES
HAS COME IN.” Many respected scholars today believe that this
represents the rapture, or catching away of the church so that God can once
again deal with the Jews as a people and that the tribulation (AKA the time of
Jacob’s Trouble) is for the Jews and not for the church. Thus being called “The
Time of Jacob’s, (Israel’s) Trouble.
And
while I find it hard to nail this doctrine down exactly, there are many
typological signs of it. Noah was in the ark 7 days before the flood came.
Enoch was taken up before the flood. The wise virgins were taken into the marriage
feast while the foolish virgins were “left behind.” Jesus, in talking about the
events of the tribulation, said in Luke 21:36: “But keep on the alert at all
times praying in order that you may be accounted worthy to escape all of these
things that are about to take place and to stand before the son of Man.” Again
in Revelation 3:10 Jesus said: “Because you (the Philadelphian church) have
kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing,
that hour which is about to come upon the whole world to test those who dwell
upon the earth.”
These
are just a couple of examples that could indicate that we (The Gentile church) may
be taken out of here before the Time of Jacob/s Trouble begins. However, in 2
Thess. 2:3, 4 Paul tells us that the Day of the Lord ( which he defines as the
coming of the Lord and our gathering together to Him See 2 Thess. 2:1) will not
come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the
son of perdition.”
So, in
other words it appears that we will be here to see the great falling away, (which
I believe is beginning to take place right now) and the antichrist is revealed
before we are caught up to meet the Lord in the air.
So,
while I see other points in time such as the pre-wrath time listed in
Revelation chapter 14, I will not present a firm doctrine against a pre- trib catching
away of the Bride, as long as we understand that we will witness the falling
away and the rise of the antichrist before we go. And there is much debate of
course on what constitutes the actual tribulation and which might be called a
relatively peaceful first half or 3 ½ years followed by a time such as the world
has not seen since the world began during the 2nd half, or 3 ½ years.
At any
rate, we must be ready at all times for the coming of the Lord just as Jesus
says, for none of us knows the day or the hour of His coming and the Bible says
that most will be unprepared.
There
are some things in the Bible that should not be made into doctrine.
Interpretation of prophecy is one of those things, for many of these prophetic
events will change shape as we get closer to the time of their fulfillment. The
unsealing of Bible prophecy is a progressive thing… for as the Bible describes
it, prophetic events happen over and over again as birth pangs that increase in
frequency and intensity as we approach the time of birth. If we run to the hospital
every time the woman has a pain, we will have many false starts and this is
what happens when someone thinks they have it figured out.
They
set a date and when the date passes unfulfilled, Satan rubs his hands in glee
because he knows that the church people will try to distance themselves from
these false prophecies and in the process they will avoid the study of prophecy
altogether. Such is much of the Body of Christ today.
But if
we want to understand last day events with some amount of accuracy, then we
must take Israel into consideration for all of the major end time events are
centered in Israel today and replacement theology is doing the church a huge
disfavor. We must understand that all prophecy, both the good and the bad is
centered in Israel. The antichrist kingdom is being set up in Jerusalem right
now.
Think
about the power and the foreknowledge of God to presume that Israel would be in
existence again in the last days. Meanwhile, even though we may visit Israel to
walk in the footsteps of Jesus, many secular Jews are seeking to make Israel
into a sin capital of the world. They are embracing every politically correct
ideology as well as joining the global community of the beast and this did not
take God by surprise, for in Revelation 11:8 God, in talking about the killing
of the Two Witnesses, He says: “And their dead bodies will lie in the street of
the great city which mystically is called Sodom and Egypt where also their Lord
was crucified.”
Satan
has made sure to plant the sins of Sodom and the gods of Egypt right in the heart
of the city of the great King as symbols of his own ruling kingdom. But this is
probably why so many Jews will be killed in the final holocaust… for God is
going to clean house so that His remnant who are called by His name will
survive to reign with Jesus during the coming millennium.
Well, I
know that this cuts right to the throat of those who believe in replacement
theology, but in my way of thinking, this is one of the world’s and the church’s
most critical issues today and because we don’t understand God’s eternal dealings
with both Israel and the Church we fail to rightly divide the Word of God and many
will be lost because they can no longer see the Bible as being relevant to our
times. But the Bible is indeed relevant to our times and its pages are being
fulfilled in every detail right before our eyes. We need to know where we stand
and why.
Jesus
warned that if possible even the very elect would be deceived… therefore we
must search out the scriptures and to value them even over our own traditions and
we need to have a relationship with Jesus and from His Word from which we
cannot be shaken.
