TO MY FELLOW TRAVELERS

DEAR FELLOW TRAVELERS                 In just a few days we will be heading out for our new home in Tennessee. That means we will be on the road and out of communication for a couple of weeks as we move and set up connections back there.                 I have a blog site on which I have placed everything I have written over the past 6 months, so if you want to you can go to this URL and get all of my articles:                 bibleprophecybyricklange.blogspot.com                 I have truly enjoyed corresponding with you about the times in which we live and I look forward to continuing to write as long as I have fingers connected to a brain and the Holy Spirit to teach me.                 We covet your prayers while we are on this trip. We are praying for safe travels at this time of year when almost anything can happen with the weather, especially in Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska and Missouri. From St. Louis we will dive farther south and hopefully into warmer weather f

KEY TO UNDERSTANDING

THE KEYS OF UNDERSTANDING                 “Then the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the doorway of the tent and He called Aaron and Miriam. When they had both come forward He said:                 “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord shall make Myself known to him in a vision. I shall speak to him in a dream. Not so with My servant Moses. He is faithful in all My household; with him I speak mouth to mouth, even openly and not in dark sayings, and he beholds the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?” Numbers 12:5-8                 “And beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He (Jesus) explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.” Luke 24:27                 “Now He (Jesus) said to them: ’These are My words which I spoke you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the prophets and the Psalms must b

DESTINY

DESTINY                 “For whom He foreknew He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren; and whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified, and whom He justified, these He also glorified.” Romans 8:28-30                 Think of predestination in this way. God knows the end from the beginning. He saw the end and you were in it and so He went back to the beginning and set it up so that you would be here in this most important and glorious time in earth’s history. The fact that you are here now, means that you have been chosen to take part in the final harvest. God knows that you will come through.                 Many of us go through life wondering what God sees as our destiny. How are we going to fulfill it? How will we know what it is? What is our ministry? When is God going to launch us into our purpose?                 The truth is we already know our

WHERE ON EARTH IS ZION?

WHERE ON EARTH IS ZION?                 As is the case with me on many occasions, when I am working around the house, my mind is pondering different scriptures or reliving scenes from the Bible. Yesterday morning I was making up a rather large pan of stir-fry veggies to get us through loading the truck and making the trip and I was thinking of the messianic song that goes: “ Come let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob.”                 My mind, being one of those kinds of minds that like to connect the dots, I compared that song with an old hymn we used to sing in church called “Marching to Zion.” It goes: “We’re marching to Zion, beautiful, beautiful Zion, we’re marching upward to Zion the beautiful city of God.”                 It occurred to me at that moment that when Jews and Messianic Jews sing about Zion, they are thinking about Jerusalem in Israel, but when Protestant Christians sing about Zion, they are thinking about the New Je

THINGS ON THE NEAR HORIZON

THINGS ON THE NEAR HORIZON                 Even as we speak President Vladimir Putin of Russia, Pr. Erdogan of Turkey and Pr. Hasan Rahani of Iran are meeting to determine what will happen in Syria now that America is pulling out of the region. This coalition, along with Ethiopia, Put and Libya and others make up the group of nations spoken of in Ezekiel 38, 39 that will come against Israel in the last days. This war is known as the Gog of Magog war. It will be conducted at first by the surrounding nations of Israel but will eventually involve the entire world.                 The “Hook in the Jaw” spoken of in Ez. 38:4 may well be oil. As oil wells in Saudi Arabia dry up the nations are fighting over the oil in Syria, but now, as if just in time for last day events, one of the largest oil field in the world has been discovered in Israel. Hmmm.                 There are many opinions as to when the Gog Magog war must be fought. Some say it happened in the past, but that ca

ARK OF SAFETY

ARK OF SAFETY                 The first ark of safety was the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve were temples of the living God for He had breathed His Spirit into them after having created them in His image. And not only were Adam and Eve self’-contained arks of covenant, but the Garden was an Ark of safety as well for God came there to walk with them face to face in the cool of the evening.                 Some prophecy teachers, I believe Perry Stone is one of them, believe that the Garden of Eden occupied the same territory that later became the land of Israel and that God has, from the very beginning, centered all of His plans and purposes for mankind on the same location.                 After the fall, of Adam and Eve and the invasion of the Nachash (Satan) safety became a thing of the past, for even from the very beginning persecution took the life of faithful Able and from there on the violence increased until it was said in Genesis 6:5: “Then the Lord saw that the wick

THYE 70TH WEEK REVISITED

THE 70 WEEKS REVISITED                 There are no accidents in the Bible. There has to be a divine reason why God separated the 70 weeks into 3 sections. We tend to make up doctrines and then presume that we have them right even as we ignore important distinctions that God promised would come to light in the last days.                 Let me give you an example: Daniel chapter 8 gives us a prophecy about 2300 evenings and mornings. So early prophecy students, reading the King James but not understanding Hebrew presumed the evenings and mornings to be days and so they changed the days into prophetic years. They also presumed that these 2300 evenings and mornings started at the same time as the 70 weeks, but is that really the case?                 First of all, the evening and morning sacrifices are represented here and the Hebrew word “Yom” for day isn’t even used. Later translations of the Bible such as the New American Standard and many others have corrected
