YOM KIPPUR                 Today is the Day of Atonement. It was the only day of the year when Israel’s High Priest could enter the Most Holy Place of the tabernacle. To do this the High Priest spent 7 days in isolation within the temple confines, purifying his thoughts and generally separating from the world and its ways, in preparation for his encounter with the presence of God.                 He was physically washed clean with clean garments and with the blood of a sacrifice offered on his behalf which he sprinkled on the mercy seat. Then two goats were chosen by lot. One goat (The Lord’s goat) was sacrificed as a sin offering for the nation of Israel. Then the other goat, (a scape goat) was laden with the sins of Israel as the High Priest laid both hands on the goat’s head and confessed all of the sins of Israel upon it. ...

ANOTHER LOOK AT THE SIGNS                 I believe Scotty Clark was the first one to discover the sign of Revelation 12 in the constellation Virgo, or at least he was the first one to make it popular.   He believes in a pre-tribulation rapture and so he saw the man child as the church (which is the body of Christ) being caught up to God while the woman that gave birth to the church (Israel) flees into the wilderness being pursued by the Dragon (Satan).                 Now, let me say that Scotty is a sincere and deep student of the word who has literally awakened the church around the world with his message and we should respect him. ANOTHER VIEW OF THE GREAT WONDER                 In a pre-trib rapture scenario, it is Israel that gives birth to the church. The church is then caught up into heaven, while the woman (Israel) flees into the wilderness (Time of Jacob’s Trouble) being pursued by the dragon.                 This scenario sounds good unless we consider that this woman who gives birth to the church has the testimony of Jesus. Non-believing Jews do not have the testimony of Jesus and if they do then they are Christians like the rest of us and should be caught up to heaven with us.                 This is why I toy with other concepts… just trying to make something fit. THE CONNECTION                 We are just now beginning to understand just how closely earth is connected to the sun. BP Earthwatch has been harping on this for a number of years now, saying that these larger solar flares result in earthquakes.
