CHRISTIAN UNITY

CHRISTIAN UNITY                 In a recent article, I mentioned Irvin Baxter and his excitement about last day events that are unfolding right now and what they may portend. He listed about 5 or 6 major end time events that are within spitting distance right now, including the covenant with many mentioned in Daniel 9:26, 27, Israel being surrounded by the very armies that are listed in the God/Magog wars, the readiness of Israel to build the temple, the great falling away that is currently underway, and the rise of the antichrist system.                 Along with that, nations around the world are preparing to go cashless and global, which will make the mark of the beast system possible and last but not least a ten nation confederation was just formed in Europe, the old Roman Empire that may well be the ten horns of the beast that rules with the antichrist. They have decided to rebel against America’s dominant role in the world and to form their own army.

GOD USED A DONKEY

GOD USED A DONKEY                 Irvin Baxter is very excited right now. He is a long-time Bible prophecy teacher on television and the internet and a solid Bible student. Since the inauguration of Donald Trump, Baxter has seen prophecy after prophecy being fulfilled and all of the final pieces of the puzzle being put together to forming to what we would call the last seven years on earth. 1.        First of all Trump paved the way for Jerusalem to become the capital of Israel. He literally did what no preceding president has had the ability or the will to do. But this sets up Jerusalem for final events. 2.        Secondly, he is spearheading the peace initiative known as the covenant with many found in Daniel 9: 26, 27 that will launch the final 7 years of earth’s history. 3.        Thirdly, Trump demanded that the European Union pay their fair share of their defense expenses. But in a new coalition headed up by France and Germany and in rebellion against America tell

SANCTIFICATION

SANCTIFICATION                 Sanctification is a word that is largely avoided by Christians today. In fact there seems to be a mass evacuation from it, especially as it has to do with the meaning of grace. People love the word grace as defined as unmerited favor (Which the Bible doesn’t actually say in so many words) but they avoid its true meaning which is the power of God to overcome sin and to walk in sanctification.   Romans 12:1-21 gives us the results of grace in the life of the believer.                 There can be no doubt that sanctification is a necessary part of the salvation package, for as it says in Hebrews 12:14: “Pursue peace with all men and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord.”                 That gets my attention, because I very much want to see the Lord and to reign with Him and so I am not about to skip something as important as sanctification.                 Sanctification is closely related to sanctuary. To Moses God sa

TRANSCENDENT MOMENTS

TRANSCENDENT MOMENTS                 It doesn’t happen all the time. You can’t make it happen. It can’t be worked up as some would think and while your emotions are involved, it is something other than emotions that are at work.                 It happened Sunday morning as we were worshipping the Lord. I was playing bass and I was enjoying worship as I always do, when suddenly the worship of the singers and the musicians and the worshippers became a wall of sound that seemed to operate on its own. Everything went into a sort of slow motion as people in the audience began to shout “Glory” while others, young and old came unbidden to the altar to weep and pray.                 One five year old boy came to the altar praying with tear stained eyes. (His father is the drummer in our band and I commented to him after the service that his little boy seemed very sensitive to the Holy Spirit. He replied that his boys are both very sensitive to the Holy Spirit… and I knew that bec

TIPPING THE SCALE

TIPPING OF THE SCALE                 Babylon was not alone in receiving the handwriting on the wall. In fact every nation is weighed on a scale by God and we have to wonder which side of the scale is gaining the most weight. In Matthew 24, Jesus gave us a clue concerning conditions that would occur just prior to His return.                 He was talking about no one knowing the day or the hour of His return, stating that only the Father knows. Then He goes on to say: “For the coming of the Son o0f Man will be just like the days of Noah. For in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, they were marrying and giving in marriage until the day that Noah entered the ark.”                 Their actions seem pretty benign don’t you think? It doesn’t say that they were eating Pork and drinking booze and neither does it say that they were involved in same sex marriage… so why did Jesus use these as signs of His soon return?                 Again in L

WATCH YOUR MOUTH

WATCH YOUR MOUTH                 “But the righteousness based on faith speaks thus, “DO NOT SAY IN YOUR HEART, WHO WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN? (That is to bring Christ down), or “WHO WILL DESCEND INTO THE ABYSS?’ (That is to bring Christ up from the dead) But what does it say” “THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART” That is the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes resulting in righteousness and with the mouth he confesses resulting in salvation. Romans 10:6-11.                 As we approach the time of the great harvest and we pray for an outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit in unprecedented power, we need to become aware of our words. We are carrying a loaded gun.                 In Ephesians chapter 4 where it talks about the five- fold ministry that isprovided to build up the Body of Christ “until we
