THINKING THE UNTHINKABLE
THINKING THE UNTHINKABLE
Is it
possible to be cursed with blessings? Well… yes it is. Think of someone who is
blessed with great riches as he wins the lottery or receives an inheritance. It
is a great blessing as far as he is concerned, but in time his riches lead him
into a profligate lifestyle that brings his life to ultimate ruin. In his case
his blessings have become a curse.
On the
following subject I have gone back and forth, both for and against and sometimes
for and against at the same time. I don’t even like to talk about this, but as a
watchman I must because it may very well involve the greatest deceptions in
these last days that Jesus and the Prophets warned about.
Here is
a situation in which both blessings and cursing may be in the same package and it
has to do with our current president. On the one hand there can be no doubt
that God intervened miraculously to rescue America from certain destruction. He
overthrew the cabal that was about to take America down. He restored our
friendship and God given guardianship of Israel. He has been overturning
horrible legislation, turning many things around, restoring prosperity,
bringing home jobs and draining the swamp of some of the nastiest entities to
ever rule over our nation. Those are the blessings.
However,
in a recent interview Paul Begley held with a Jew in Israel named Shimone Tov (I’m
not sure of the spelling) many Jews are becoming nervous about just who Trump’s
advisors are. There is a growing fear that Trump may be able to pull off what
Israel’s enemies have never been able to accomplish and that is to create a
peace deal that will end up dividing Israel by using other words. Steven DeNoon
has also been warning about this
All
over Israel big red signs are being posted outside of certain cities declaring
them off limits for Jews even threatening death to those who would break these
laws. And it is not the Palestinians putting up the signs, but Israelis. Such
traditionally Jewish cities as Bethlehem and Jericho are now off limits to Jews
and of course Gaza is no longer considered to be Israeli territory.
In
other words, just as Daniel 9:27 warns us, a covenant with the many is being
confirmed that will make way for the antichrist and even as Israel celebrates
freedom, they are being set up for division and war and destruction under none
other than the prophetic antichrist.
There
are many Christians who remain blind to what is coming simply because they
think that the 70th week of Daniel was fulfilled way back in history
and that it was Jesus Christ who confirmed the covenant with many. In verse 27
they see Jesus as the One who will make a covenant with the many for one week,
but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice. But a careful
reading of these two verses (Daniel 9:26 and 27) reveal a very different story.
For
instance verse 27 says that “he” will confirm a covenant with the many. So we
have to look back to verse 26 to see which “he” it is talking about. Verse 26
tells us that the Messiah (Jesus) will be cut off after the period of 62 weeks.
Now some believe that this phrase “after 62 weeks” simply refers to the 70th
week. There have been 7 weeks and then 62 weeks
which adds up to 69 weeks, so obviously the next week will be the 70th
week right?
But the
Bible doesn’t say that Messiah was cut off in the 70th week. It says
that He was cut off after the 62 weeks and there has to be a major reason why this
70 week period is divided into 7 weeks and 62 weeks. Well, where then is the 70th
week. It tells us that ‘he” will confirm a covenant with the many for 1 week. So
there it is… that is our 70th week, but who is the “he” that
confirms the covenant with the many for one week?
Verse
26 tells us that the Messiah was cut off having nothing. What does the Messiah
not have? Verse 24 contains a list of 6 mandates to be fulfilled, but verse 26 tells
us that the Messiah was cut off not having fulfilled the mandates of verse 24.
Now at this statement many may bristle and say that Jesus most certainly
fulfilled the mandates given in Daniel 9:24. After all, Jesus said “It is
finished.” But this 70 week covenant was not written to Jesus. This covenant
was spoken to Daniel and it concerns his people and his holy city. (Jerusalem) It was a covenant that could not be fulfilled
either by Jesus or the Jews individually. They must do it together.
Jesus came to Israel to ratify His part of a
covenant that Israel could not complete without Him, but Israel rejected Him
and cut Him off and He died having nothing. In other words, Jesus, by His death
brought salvation to the Gentiles, but as we have seen, it did not bring
salvation to the Jews who refused to accept Him and as we can see in Zechariah
12:10, they will not receive Him until the very end of time when they look upon
Him whom they have pierced and they will mourn for Him.
Jesus
Himself when He was with them said that He would not return until they cried
out to Him saying, “Baruch abba b’shem Adonai” “Blessed is He who comes in the name
of the Lord.” It is then that all Israel will be saved just as Romans 11:25-29
tells us and it will come right after the fullness of the Gentiles has come in…
at the end of the time of Jacob’s Trouble.
So we
see this 70th week as the time of Jacob’s trouble, a period of 7
years or one prophetic week which is divided into two periods of 42 months (or
1260 days or 3 ½ years) which period of time God described in three different
ways so that we would not turn it into prophetic years such as 1260 years. In
this revelation, God wanted us to know that the final 70th week was
to be in literal period of time adding up to 7 years. The 70th week
will be fulfilled at the end times.
So this
still leaves us to figure out who the “he” is who confirms the covenant with the
many in Daniel 9:27. Well, Daniel 9:26 tells us that the Messiah was cut off
having nothing. The mandates remained unfulfilled because they required Israel’s
acceptance of the Messiah, but instead they put Him to death. So that is the end
of that, and then it says: “And the PEOPLE OF THE PRINCE WHO IS TO COME will
destroy the city and the sanctuary.” So we must ask here: Who are the people
that destroyed the city and the sanctuary? It was Rome under Titus right? So,
in other words, the prince who is to come will be of the Romans who destroyed the
city and the temple.
This
prince who is to come then can be no other than the antichrist who will appear
at the end of time in the 70th week. He will be from the people who destroyed
Jerusalem and the temple in A.D. 70. He will confirm a covenant with the many for
one week (The 70th week) but in the middle of the 70th
week He will commit the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION, spoken of by Daniel the prophet.
Jesus also confirmed this as an end time event in Mt. 24:15.
Gabriel
told Daniel on numerous occasions that His prophecies pertained to the latter
days. (Dan. 10:14… to the “time of the end” Dan. 8:17, 26. And Daniels
prophecies were to be sealed and concealed until the time of the end around the
time of the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION. Daniel 12:11.
Jesus
Himself placed the Abomination of Desolation at the time of the end in
conjunction with His return. So, can you name any prophetic events that would
have to take place before the ABOMINATION COULD TAKE PLACE?
1.
Israel would have to be back in its own land
2.
The temple would have to be rebuilt (because the
ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION can only take place in Israel’s temple)
3.
The global system of the antichrist would have
to be in place
4.
The antichrist would have to be on the scene
5.
A seven year covenant with the many would have
to be confirmed
6.
Israel’s land would be divided
7.
And when the Abomination of Desolation occurs
then the Jews in Jerusalem and Judea will have to flee to the mountains. Mt.
24:15-22.
8.
All of the events must be seen by the generation
that saw the Fig Tree put forth leaves. In other words, just before His death
Jesus cursed the fig tree for not bearing fruit and the fig tree died. (Mark
11:13-21). So when Jesus says that the fig tree will again put on leaves in the
last days, He is saying that Israel will be revived. The valley of dry bones
will come to life and become a mighty army. (Ezekiel 37) And so it has happened.
The same Jesus who cursed the fig tree for not bearing fruit, also predicted
that the fig tree would once again come to life in the last days.(Mark 13:28,
29,Mt. 24:32, 33)
Friends,
the church’s eyes have been blinded to these things, simply because these
prophecies could not possibly be fulfilled… or so it appeared. So they wrote them
off as spiritual allegories. That is until the impossible happened. Israel literally came back into their land and
ever since then; prophecy students have been re-studying these end time Bible
prophecies as being literal. The end time prophecies of Christ’s return will be
fulfilled just as literally as were the prophecies of Jesus’ first coming.
Jesus
fulfilled the Spring Feasts literally at His first coming and so we can now
expect that the Fall Feasts will be fulfilled literally and precisely according
to their exact day and hour and event.
So now,
some of the Jews that have hailed Donald Trump as their great “Cyrus” are becoming
nervous and we should be too, because he
may be negotiating a covenant with the many that will end up dividing Israel,
putting the Beast and the False prophet in charge of the city, making Jerusalem
into a city for all nations and all
religions, rebuilding the temple into which the antichrist will come and commit
the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION that both Daniel and Jesus and Mark and Luke and
John the Revelator warned us about.
Jesus
said that the generation that saw the fig tree (Israel) blossom would be the generation
that would see the return of the Messiah. Israel is in its 70th
year. Blood moons and solar eclipses have been screaming out across the sky. The
signs in the sun, moon and stars that Joel talked about that would occur BEFORE
the great and awesome day of the Lord comes, have and are occurring. (Joel 2:31)
And Joel even confirms what Jesus said in Matthew 24 saying: For on Mt. Zion and
in Jerusalem there will be those who escape as the Lord said, even among the survivors
whom the Lord calls. (See Mt. 24:15-22 for Israel’s escape)
Friends,
it is time to put these prophecies together in their right order so that we can
understand them and be wise. We need to understand that events in the end times
can be both a blessing and a curse… and this is why we must fasten our eyes on
Yeshua and not on politics. Men may fail us, but Yeshua will never fail us. Nor
should we out rightly condemn those whom God has set in place to fulfill end
time prophecies. After all, God sets up whom He will and takes down whom He
will. Even Obama served to wake up a sleeping church just as ISIS caused many
Muslims to question the nature of their own religion. God is in control and we
should not fight against what He is doing to bring about the return of Messiah.
The prophecies must be fulfilled and this Gospel of the Kingdom must be
preached in the entire world as a witness unto all nations and then shall the end
come.
So the
angel left Daniel with these closing thoughts concerning the time in which we, the
last generation are living saying: “ Many will be purged, purified and refined;
but the wicked will act wickedly and none of the wicked will understand, BUT
THOSE WHO HAVE INSIGHT WILL UNDERSTAND.” Dan. 12:10.
It is
time to take off the blinders of tradition and to study all of these things
afresh. Every prophecy concerning the last days and every fall feast will be
fulfilled literally and in its appointed time.
We are the
generation that will see all of these things come to pass.
Sometimes,
when it comes to Bible prophecy we have to be able to think the unthinkable.
