KAIROS TIMES AND SEASONS

KAIROS TIMES AND SEASONS

Few Christians fully understand the times and seasons of the Lord. Kronos is time as it is marked by this pagan/secular world system. It is marked and measured by pagan calendars and historical events as well as pagan festivals and holidays.

Kairos time is time based upon God’s calendar and it is marked by signs in the sun, moon and stars, by times and seasons (Moedim) and God appointed feast days, new moons and Sabbaths. What god is showing us is that He has marked out windows of time, pre-ordained Kairos moments when heaven and earth connect, bringing about updates or changes in the prophetic seasons.

God and therefore Yeshua often talked about the “Appointed time,” The “Fullness of Time” or Yeshua also mentioned on occasion that His time was not yet. In other words there was an appointed time for each event in His life and He kept in constant connection with His Father so as to know the appointed time.

At His triumphal entry into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey, we see a specific Kairos moment. At no other time in His sojourn on earth did Jesus present Himself as King. Here He was fulfilling a prophecy written of Him in Zech.9:9 where it says: “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold your King is coming to you, He is just and endowed with salvation (Yeshua), Humble and mounted on a donkey, eve the colt, the foal of a donkey.”

This was a Kairos moment, a fulfillment of divine prophecy as Jesus presented Himself as both the fulfillment of Scripture and the true King of Israel. The common people may not have fully understood the implications of that Kairos moment, but they sensed it and they threw down their cloaks and waved palm branches and shouted Hosanna to the Son of David. Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord.”

Everyone was excited   and most likely energized by the Holy Spirit for the occasion, for Jesus said that if they had not cried out, then the rocks would have. This was a Kairos moment and the common people and His disciples perceived it, but the leadership of Israel, the Pharisees did not perceive it and so Jesus, surprising them all, wept over Jerusalem saying: “If you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes.” Luke 19:42.

But lest we miss the significance of this Kairos moment we must realize and understand that the crowds were in Jerusalem for the Feast of Passover .This was one of the most significant Kairos moments in all of history. All of Israel was gathered as Jesus presented Himself as the true King of Israel   and then, unbelievably offered Himself up as the Lamb of God to take away the sins of the world.

This then was not just any old Passover. This was THE Passover of the ages when the True Lamb of God would fulfill all that this feast outlined. Thousands… even millions of animal sacrifices through time would now be replaced by the one Sacrifice to which they all pointed.

But what about our time? Are we in a similar Kairos moment now? Are we aware of its implications?

                Joel prophesied in Joel 2:30-32, 3:1, 2 saying: “

And I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood BEFORE the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be delivered; for on Mt Zion ( In Israel) and in Jerusalem ( In Israel) there will be those who escape as the Lord has said, even among the survivors whom the Lord calls. For behold, in those days and at that time (that Kairos moment) when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the valley of jehosha0phat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel whom they have scattered among the nations and they have divided up My land.”

Does any of this sound familiar? Since 2014 we have seen four blood moons all on God’s appointed Feasts, we have seen the return of the Bethlehem star, the once only display in the heavens of the Revelation 12 birth of the man child. We have seen a major solar eclipse across America and seen by the whole world and that too was connected to a Jewish Feast.

But along with that we have seen unprecedented political turmoil and rumors of world war, a financial system on the verge of collapse, unprecedented weather, hurricanes, storms, floods, mass animal deaths in the millions, a world that has gone crazy with shootings and terrorism, with a massive plunge in morality, the resurgence of idolatry and witchcraft, a major uptick in earthquakes and volcanos and other events too numerous to list.

All throughout scripture and even in our day these Kairos moments tick by largely unnoticed. The blood moons came and went and when nothing happened right away people said, “Oh well, that was nothing” and they went back to sleep. But God has a very big time clock. His timing isn’t like ours. HE does everything in the fullness of time… at the appointed time… and He does it according to the appointed windows of time that He established in Creation and revealed to the world through Moses.

We are living in one of God’s most important Kairos moments. Its signal was the return of Israel to its own land. But we have now entered a final phase of this Kairos time announced by the blood moons and the solar eclipse and shouted out by the other signs as well. These predicted events are about to take place and we have entered into a Kairos moment called “the Our of His judgment.

Perhaps Joel indicates that when we divide Israel’s land it will start and we will plunge into the great falling away, the revealing of the man of sin (The Antichrist) and the book of Revelation will begin to unfold in real time.

Oh yes… throughout history many prophecies have been partially fulfilled. Over and over again people have thought we had arrived. Predictions were made, excitement grew and then disappointment followed. But those prophetic moments were birth pangs. But now, in our day, the virgin in the constellation Virgo has given birth to the man child who will rule the nations with a rod of Iron. Yes, He has been caught up to heaven, but the woman who give birth to Him ( Israel) is being pursued by the dragon and then he will continue his rampage by chasing after the remnant of her seed, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. That is us if we fit the qualifications.

It was in a growing understanding of the flow of God’s appointed times and Kairos moments that I went back to the roots of the Christian faith… back to the very beginning, to the first Messianic Jews who had received their Messiah as their King and who understood the appointed times and seasons of the Lord.

Over the past 2000 years the church has gotten so far off track that they no longer care about either Bible Prophecy or the appointed times of the Lord. They have largely   disengaged themselves         from the Old Testament in which all of the keys to understanding the New Testament and its prophecies are found.

“And beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, Jesus explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scripture.” Luke 24:27

Again in speaking to His disciples Jesus said: “These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Then He opened their minds to understand the scriptures.

Friends, we need our eyes opened again, because we are in perhaps the most significant Kairos moment of all time and nobody wants to talk about it. Nobody wants to study it out. Nobody seems to understand that the hour of judgment has come and it is about to fall upon us. Babylon is falling right before our eyes and we must come out of it. To stay in it is to be destroyed with it… and just like that Kairos moment when Jesus sat astride a donkey on the brow of the hill looking over Jerusalem, He is weeping and saying: “If you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes.” Luke 19:42

Here’s a project for you. Visit every church in your city and try to find one in which they understand the Kairos moment that we are now in. Chances are you will not find one. That is why people are flocking to the internet. There is a hunger for the Word and people are looking to and fro, but they cannot find it… only sound bites and quippy phrases.

It is time to head back to the foundations of our faith, back past the manmade traditions that have replaced truth… back to the foundations that find their roots planted deep in the Judeo/Christianity from which the church sprang… back to the whole Word… back to Pentecost.

But don’t just sit there, for in our day, we must be praying for the harvest rain, the seven times greater rain that will bring in the harvest.

But God will do nothing apart from His Kairos moments, His appointed times and seasons… His windows when heaven and earth meet and things change. The Fall Feasts will yet be fulfilled just as accurately as were the Spring Feasts at Yeshua’s first coming. Do you know what time it is?
