WHAT IF WE ARE WRONG?
WHAT IF WE ARE WRONG?
What if
we have misinterpreted some of the prophecies concerning the issues of these
last days? How can we know and how can we change?
As we
approach the final days we need to learn everything we can about the first
coming of Christ… who had it right and who had it wrong… who missed it and why? None of us is
guaranteed that we have all the pieces right and so above all, we must be in a
right relationship with the Lord. Our salvation is not based upon a correct
interpretation of Bible Prophecy, but on the saving life, death and
resurrection of Jesus Christ and how we receive it by faith and apply it to our
own lives.
But
there are things we can learn from Yeshua’s first coming that will help us to
understand the last day issues better.
1. The Pharisees knew
the Torah and the scripture well. Many of them had memorized large portions of
scripture.
2. They were looking for the Messiah and even expecting Him
around the time that He appeared.
3. They knew that He was to be born in Bethlehem because
they told the Wise men as much.
4. They should have known that He would be of divine origin and
not just a man because of texts like Isaiah 9:6, 7 and Micah 5:2-5. They certainly
should have recognized Him from Isaiah 53 and Psalms 22 as He hung on the cross.
5. They had been
observing the Feasts of the Lord that outlined both His first coming and His
second coming. The whole plan of salvation was also represented in the
Tabernacle and its services. So how did they miss it?
As we face
the last days there is one glaring fact to which the church should pay close
attention. Jesus fulfilled every one of the spring feasts completely and
perfectly at His first coming. That means He will likewise fulfill the Fall
Feasts perfectly at His second coming. Therefore we must study the Fall Feasts
especially in our day so that we can correctly understand the Book of
Revelation for it is patterned after the Fall Feasts. The book of Revelation is
written in the language of the Fall Feasts and yet most of the church is
ignoring this almost completely. They have been interpreting prophecy without
the benefit of God’s keys.
As we
look back on Christ’s first coming we can see in retrospect several things that
caused them to go astray.
1.
Many of
the prophecies seemed to have dual application. He was a suffering servant… He
was a deliverer. He was humble and meek, but a conquering King. Which was it? So
they chose the aspects of Him they liked the best.
2.
Even though they were knowledgeable in the scriptures,
they became set in their traditional interpretations and therefore became
inflexible. They wanted Him to set them free from Rome… not from their sins.
3.
They should have understood from Jeremiah
31:31-33 that a New Covenant was coming in which God would write the Law upon
their hearts. It would not be like the Old Covenant, external and on stone, but
a New Covenant in His blood and made alive and internal by the Holy Spirit.
4.
They should have known that this Yeshua was
coming as the Lamb of God who would take away the sins of the world… John the Baptist
had told them so. Yeshua had come to deal with sin… not with Rome. He will deal
with Rome/Babylon at His second coming.
So we
have to ask ourselves today: Do we know our scriptures like they did? If so,
are we flexible enough to embrace new revelation as God reveals it? Are we studying
the feast days of the Lord that outline His second coming? Have we studied out
the Old Testament prophecies that tell us that God would bring His people
Israel back into their own land in the last days? Have we asked ourselves why God
brought them back and what prophetic roles they may play in last day events?
I know of
some replacement theologians that stubbornly refuse to admit any purpose or
meaning to Israel’s return to their land. So how can they possibly provide an
accurate assessment of last day events and issues? Israel is a living fact!
Just as
the people of Jesus’ day picked and chose the things they liked about the
Messiah so as to not recognize Him, many churches today love to pick the
aspects of Jesus that they like best while ignoring the rest. They love to talk mercy and grace, but not
about justice and judgment. They like Him as Savior, but not so much as Lord of
their lives. They want to see us all fly away to heaven, but they don’t like the
fact that He is coming for a Bride without spot or wrinkle. They don’t like to
talk about the foolish virgins that were not ready for the marriage feast when the
Bridegroom came.
On the
flip side, many are still trying to qualify for heaven through legalism and the
works of the flesh rather than living by the Spirit as in Romans 8:9. We still
want to be saved by the works of the Law, rather than the righteousness that is
by faith in Jesus. (See Romans 3:19-24, Gal.3:1-29)
In
other words, Jesus is looking for a spotless Bride, but it must be done His way
and not ours. “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord. It is
His power and not our efforts that save us and in fact our own righteousness is
as filthy rags. Being born again is a total and complete package that involves
100% of our existence. We have died to one kingdom and been born into another and
now, instead of being empowered by self- will, we are empowered by His Spirit and
guided by His Word.
We like
to call ourselves Christians, but we are strangers to being anointed and yet the
word “Christ” means the anointed One and we must be anointed too if we belong
to Him. If we are not anointed by His Holy Spirit then we are not Christians at
all. Romans 8:9. We have taken His name. We have been betrothed to Him and yet
we are still playing the field. (See Ex. 20:7) Think of taking His name in vain
in terms of being married to Him, but being unfaithful.
Much
that passes as being ”Born Again” these
days falls short of an actual new birth. See Galatians2:20, 21. Many need to
understand that leaving the Law behind does not make us lawless. In fact, Romans
8:4 tells us that the Law will be fulfilled in us who walk not according to the
flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Here
again, people tend to pick the parts they like and ignore the rest and so they
end up with an incomplete Gospel that does not lead to Salvation or the making
of a spotless Bride. Therefore much of the church has become salt with no
flavor and lights that don’t shine. Therefore Yeshua is looking for a Remnant
people who keep the commandments by the Spirit and who bear the testimony of
Jesus which is the Spirit of prophecy.
Should
it not bother us a bit that we are still involved in bickering and judging and gossiping
about one another and stepping on heads to gain position? Should it not also
bother us that we avoid the subject of Bible prophecy like the plague?
I fear
for my Messianic brothers and sisters and I fear for the pro-Israeli movement
in many churches today. They are on the right track in terms of returning to the
faith of the first Messianic Jews, but in their love for Israel many are
failing to distinguish between what God is doing in Israel and what Satan is
doing in setting up His antichrist kingdom there.
Rabbi Steven
BenNun is crying out to his Jewish brethren and to the Messianic and Protestant
peoples as well to be aware of both the good and the bad of what is happening
to Israel right now. Rabbi Steven comes with some pretty good stock. He is from
the lineage of Joshua. His name BenNun means son of nun and if you look in
scripture, Joshua was also the son of Nun. (Ex. 33:11, Num. 11:28, 13:8, 16,
14:6, 30, 38, 26:65)
Today
Steven is crying out to his brethren to wake up and to see the tragedies that are
soon to befall them. The temple will be built because it is prophesied in
scripture, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it is God’s will. The
millennial temple described by Ezekiel in Ez. Chapters 40-48 and in Rev. 11:1,
2.. and believe it or not, as per Rev. 11 plans for the third temple leave out
the outer court for there is not room for it on the temple mount for indeed it
has been given to the gentiles. (Muslims)
What we
see is that it will be the antichrist that will provide clearance and a
covenant to rebuild the temple. The Jews will hail him as their promised
Messiah, until he commits the abomination of desolation prophesied by Daniel (Daniel
9:27, Dan 11:31) and reiterated by Jesus as an end time event in Mt. 24:15, Ml.
13:14 and Luke 21:20, 21)
What
people seem to be blind to now is the fact that the Vatican pulls all of the strings
in the world today. As the Bible says, they rule over the kings of the earth.
They are behind every war that is fought in the world and in fact, NATO is
their army, but the Muslims work for them as well. It is Pope Francis that is
now calling for a one world government and even as plans are being made for the
building of the temple, Highways and railroads and bridges and checkpoints are
being built right up to Jerusalem to accommodate the United Nations/Vatican run
house of worship for all nations.
This is
going to house the global religion of the Beast, but along with preparations in
Jerusalem for this coming global headquarters, the rest of the world has to be
prepared as well. In order to have a global government, all nations have to
surrender sovereignty to the global government and surrender their armies to
United Nations/ Vatican control.
Israel
also has to be subdued so that those who do not go along with this godless
regime will be wiped out and that is where the Magog invasion comes in. It will
be a horrible catastrophe as described in Ezekiel 38 and 39, Daniel 11 and 12
and Zechariah chapters 12 through 14:5
When the
abomination finally takes place in the temple, then those in Judea and Samaria
will have to flee and Jesus says that there will be a time of tribulation such
as has not occurred since the beginning of creation and unless God cut it short
there would be no flesh left on the earth.
Well
that is the Israel side of things, but what is the Vatican going to do in order
to get the remaining super powers to surrender their sovereignty. We in America
like to think of ourselves as the protectors of Israel, but in the battle of
Gog/Magog nobody comes to Israel’s aid. So where is America?
According
to Rabbi BenNun, they tried to bring America down through climate change by
taxing American businesses to death. Obama had done everything in his power to
bring America to its knees and Hillary was to be the final straw that would
break America’s back, but Trump stepped in and turned the tide. Well, Trump may
have been wise to some of the globalist tricks, but He is not discerning enough
to sort out what is good and what is bad about the Vatican and he is apparently
falling for the Pops tricks thinking that he is working for Israel’s success
and freedom.
Rabbi
Steven believes (and from good sources) that in order to take down the two
super powers that are resisting the globalization of the world they are going
to pit them against each other. In other words, America and Russia are going to
war with each other and when they are done with this war,(one that will most
likely include nuclear exchanges,) both countries will be so decimated that
they will no longer be super powers and no longer able to come to the aid of
Israel.
Only
time will tell, but certainly the instruments of war are being moved and placed
on land and sea and in the air as the nations make ready for a final showdown and
even though it may end up being WW3, Russia and her allies and America and her
allies will swallow up most of the world in devastating war. With nuclear weapons
in mind it may actually be a short war and when America and Russia are out of the
way, then the dominating world power will fall to Erdogan of Turkey,( who just
made a visit to the Vatican by the way) and he will raise up his 57 Muslim nation/states
with a standing army of well over 5 million soldiers and they will overflow the
land of Israel like a cloud to cover the land.
There
will be huge losses as described in Zech. 14:1, 2:
“Behold,
a day is coming for the Lord when the spoil taken from you will be divided
among you. For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle and the
city will be captured, the houses plundered, the women ravished and half of the
city exiled, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city.”
But now
in verse 3 we see that the Lord takes action on behalf of Israel for it says:
“Then the
Lord will go forth and fight against those nations as when He fights on the day
of battle.” Zech. 14:3
And in
case we are tempted to ascribe this battle to sometime in the past, read on for
it says:
“And on
that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives which is in front of
Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from
east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move
toward the north and the other half toward the south. And you will flee by the valley
of My mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel. Yes you
will flee just as you fled before the earthquake of Uzziah the king of Judah.
THEN THE LORD MY GOD WILL COME AND ALL THE HOLY ONES WITH HIM.” Zech. 14:3-5
Can there
be any question as to when and where this is? It is the second coming of Christ
with His saints to take up His earthly millennial reign. (See also Rev.
19:14-16, 1Thess. 3:13, 4:14, Rev. 2:26, 27, Rev. 12:5, 19:5.
Friends,
the world is gearing up for war. Ships and tanks and missile launchers and ordinance
and planes and long convoys of men and their fighting gear are being
transported all over the Middle East and the church is still playing Sunday
School. We have been lulled to sleep by the news media as they report
everything but what is truly important and as they continue their hatred
campaign and struggle to take down the last whimpering vestiges of Christianity.
God is
calling for a Remnant people who will stand up and do great exploits in the
power of the Lord… Who will set aside their traditions long enough to explore
what is actually going on in the world. Our prophecies are not wrong… but some
of our interpretations are out of date and like the Pharisees of old, we need
to see what is staring us right in the fact and adjust our thinking. Jesus is
soon to return and not many are ready.
