CREATED TO BE KINGS AND PRIESTS                 You will have to forgive me if I sound like I am repeating myself here, but I am going to go over a well- worn subject because the Lord has just taught me something that has put the whole thing together.                 I have mentioned numerous times over the years the triune nature of man. Mankind was created as a threefold being, body, soul and spirit. The tabernacle of Moses makes that very clear with its three sections. The outer court represents our physical body. The Holy Place represents our soul. (Our soul is made up of our natural mind, will and emotions.) And the third compartment, the Holy of Holies is our spirit and we can see from this that when the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in us He doesn’t live in our body or our mind, but He dwells in our spirit. ...

HUMILITY

HUMILITY                 I think that sometimes in our Christian pride we approach God more like the Pharisee than like the Publican. I remember way back in the early years of the name it, claim it movement a man named Charles Capps wrote t book called “The King’s Kids.” In essence it taught that as King’s kids we deserve the best of everything. If we believe God for a Cadillac, we can have our Cadillac and so on.                 Well, I think those early attitudes have become more sophisticated these days, but the same sort of pride and arrogance still prevails. GOD’S FIRE AND THE REMNANT FACTOR             God’s fire came down upon Mt. Sinai as if to consume the whole mountain and the people quaked and feared and made promises to God that whatever He said, they would do. But when all was said and done there were only two of the people that were there that day that lived to cross over into the Promised Land.             God’s fire fell in Elijah’s day and consumed the sacrifice and the people all said, “The Lord He is God.” But Elijah fled anyway, in spite of that mountain top experience.
