THE RELUCTANT MESSENGER                 I did not set out to be a watchman. I enjoy creative writing and so about 8 years ago I started sharing my journey of faith to whoever would listen. Word somehow got around and my list grew to 200 and then to a thousand and now to about 5000. How many of those 5000 actually read my articles I haven’t a clue, but I long ago put that part of it into God’s hands.                 The problem as I see it now is that the issues have become much more critical during these past 8 years. TOUGH QUESTIONS (PART ONE)             There are tough questions to be asked concerning scripture that most people don’t really want to ask. There are apparent paradoxes, places where one prophet said one thing and another prophet said another and they seem to be in direct opposition.             But if we believe that the Bible is infallible and written and guided by the hand of an infinite and all-knowing God, then solving these paradoxes will actually guide us to a greater truth behind them that will become revelation to us.             One of those big questions is why did Jesus say, “IF you love Me you will keep My commandments, while Paul tells us that the Law is not of faith… that it was a temporary tutor to lead us to Christ where its work is finished.       ...

EXORTATION

EXORTATION                 One of the things we need to learn how to do is to encourage each other in the faith. This is going to become more and more important in the days ahead. The world is becoming more hostile towards Christians. The Lord has bought us just a little more time. Some think this time will stretch on into glory, but as I study Bible Prophecy I see a different story.                 Revelation 13 speaks of this global beast empire that we see fighting for supremacy right before our eyes. We see their growing hatred for Jews and Christians. And while Revelation 12:11 says that we will overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony, this doesn’t indicate that Christians will be on easy street; nor will they even have the upper hand.
