FAITHFUL

FAITHFUL

“For this reason you be ready too; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will. Who then is that faithful and sensible servant whom his master put in charge of his household to give them their food at the proper time: Blessed is that servant whom his master finds so doing when He comes.”  Mt. 24:44-46

It is important to study Bible Prophecy, especially as the day draws close. It keeps us from going to sleep and letting our oil burn low. It stimulates us to prepare for His soon return. However, it is even more important to perceive what the Master may want us to do and to be found doing it when He comes.

I have found that divine appointments don’t happen while we are sitting around waiting for them. They happen while we are busy doing something else. Chances to pray for people or to encourage someone come more often than we realize.

It is not the big things that we plan to do, but rather the small things that we actually do that count. Being faithful over the little things is hugely important in God’s economy. A cup of cold water to a thirsty stranger… some clothing for a person without… a visit to a lonely friend, old person or prisoner... it is the simple things we do while going about our business that can change lives if we are full of the Holy Spirit.

Like I said, Bible prophecy is highly important, but it loses its meaning if we don’t keep it within the context of what we should be and what we should do in this wonderful kingdom to which we now belong. Certainly bearing the fruit of the Spirit is a kingpin in our walk with the Lord. But a tree that hides itself may bear its fruit in vain.

So even at the risk of our own lives, our own sanity at times, we must circulate among people and we must relate to our Lord, not only as an individual, but as a corporate Body in which every organ, arm, leg, eye and ear contributes to the wellness of the whole.

Don’t wait for your church to get all of its ducks in a row. Become a disciple rather than a spectator. Love and serve the congregation as unto Christ. Give of yourself. “Lift up the hands that hang down… lift up the voice now still. Give unto God continuous praise… sing forth from Zion’s hill. Put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Lift up your voice to God. Pray with the Spirit and with understanding… Oh magnify the Lord. (David Ingles)

O sing to the lord a new song, for He has done wonderful things, His right hand and His holy arm ( Yeshua) have gained the victory for Him (the Father) The Lord has made known His salvation (Yeshua) HE has revealed His righteousness in the sigh of the nations. Shout joyfully to the Lord all the earth; Break forth and sing for joy and sing praises. Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre; with the lyre and the sound of melody, with trumpets and the sound of the horn. Shout joyfully before the King the Lord. Let the sea roar and all it contains, the world and those who dwell in it. Let the rivers clap their hands; Let the mountains sing together for joy before the Lord; for He is coming to judge the earth; He will judge the world with righteousness and the peoples with equity.” Psalm 98:1-9.

Enter into the joy of the Lord and then share it with others. The fruits of the Spirit are contagious. Smiles breed smiles, joy breeds joy, kindness breeds kindness. Gentleness and faithfulness… they all bless the weary and water the soul of the traveler.

These are the kinds of seeds we sow in the Father’s field and they will bring forth a harvest after their kind.

Sow good seed or you will be overwhelmed with a crop of weeds at harvest time. It is sort of like my garden this year. I bought a bunch of soil from a place that did not properly mature the mulch with heat. It was therefore full of seeds that sprouted up and I had to work to nearly to death and in the end the weeds still mostly won.

Plant the seeds of love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness and self- control. When you Master Yeshua returns, He will find you working in His vineyard and you will have a bountiful harvest to offer to Him.

It is easy to give stern warnings, but in reality we live in the most glorious time in history. It is the final harvest and the coming of our Lord and King.
