A HEART THAT SEES
A HEART THAT SEES
“Lift
up your heads, O gates and be lifted up O ancient doors that the King of glory
may come in! Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord
mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O gates and lift them up, O ancient doors
that the King of glory may come in! Who is this King of glory? The Lord of
Hosts He is the King of glory.” Ps. 24:7-10
David
was a man after God’s own heart and there are reasons why Jesus was often
called “The Son of David” In type and shadow, David was a prophet, Priest and
King and god furthermore promised him a throne that would last for eternity and
one of His offspring would reign on His throne forever.
We know
that the Psalms are more than just nice poetry for Jesus said in Luke 24:44: “These
are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things
which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms
must be fulfilled.”
David
had a heart that could see. He saw beyond his present time. In the procession
that carried the Ark of the Covenant back to Zion, he danced wildly before the Lord.
In physical terms I see him trying to portray something even bigger than what
was going on that day. He was seeing a time when the King of glory would come
in. Zechariah speaks of this time and it can be describing no other time than the
end of the age at the battle of Armageddon when Jesus will conquer all of the nations
of the world that come up against Jerusalem. IN that day the Lord of glory will
show up and destroy those evil armies and HE will set foot on the Mt. of Olives
and He will enter through the eastern gate to take up His earthly millennial
reign. Let’s read about it:
“Behold,
a day is coming for the Lord when the spoil taken from you will be divided
among you. For I will gather ALL THE NATIONS against Jerusalem to battle and the
city will be captured, the houses plundered, the women ravished and half of the
city exiled, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city. Then the Lord will go forth and
fight against those nations as when He fights on the day of battle. And in that
day HIS FEET WILL STAND ON THE MOUNT OF OLIVES which is in front of Jerusalem
on the east; and the Mt. of Olives will be split in its middle from east to
west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north
and the other half toward the south. And you will flee by the valley of My mountains,
for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; yes, you will flee just as
you fled before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah, king of Judah. THEN THE
LORD MY GOD WILL COME AND ALL THE HOLY ONES WITH HIM.” Zech. 14:1-5
The
rest of the chapter goes on to describe the millennial reign of Christ. And where
it says that the Lord will come with His holy ones, this is what is described
in Revelation 19, where Jesus comes with His saints, all of them riding on
white horses. There in this very soon coming time, Jesus returns with his
saints to defeat the world’s armies at the battle of Armageddon when he takes the
beast and the false prophet and throws them alive into the Lake of Fire.
When
General Allenby conquered Jerusalem, he walked into the city on foot in respect
for Scripture that says that Jesus will ride into Jerusalem on a white horse.
Previously Kaiser Wilhelm had had not such respect and rode into Jerusalem on a
white horse as is typical of conquering generals.
There
is an interesting and miraculous story behind that victory over Jerusalem, for
it had been ruled by the Ottoman Turks for centuries. But a couple of ministers
in Britten were discussing the coming invasion of Jerusalem and one man said to
the minister, I believe that “aeroplanes”
are going to play a major role in this coming battle. I read my Bible and my
Newspaper side by side and Isaiah 31:5 says:
“Like
flying birds so the Lord of hosts will protect Jerusalem. He will protect and deliver it. He will pass
over and rescue it.”
So five
months before the invasion, the British military passed over Jerusalem dropping
leaflets warning of the coming invasion. The Ottoman Turks had never seen
airplanes before and they were so frightened by this omen that the raised a
white flag and surrendered without a shot being fired.
We don’t
study Bible Prophecy like our forefathers did back in 1917 and what we do study
is distorted by our traditions and our replacement theology so that we remain
blind to God’s miraculous restoration of Israel to its land.
In the six
day war, Israel was still a fledgling nation, barely getting their acts
together. They had 3 tanks, to fend off the 60 tanks of the enemy now on their
border. The men in the 3 tanks decided it would be better to die in battle than
to flee, so they headed into the fray vastly outnumbered. But when they reached
the point of contact they were met by Arabs carrying white flags and ready to
surrender. Then said they had seen the vast armies of Israel covering the land
and so they surrendered and were taken back in handcuffs. (Does the story of
Elisha come to mind and the hills covered with the armies of the Lord?)
Now
Israel is surrounded once again and vastly outnumbered. Negotiations are being
made for peace as they seek to sign a covenant with the many for peace and the building
of the third temple as a house of prayer for all nations.
Unfortunately,
there is a mixture of good and evil in this upcoming event. It is good because Daniel
prophesied this covenant 3500 years ago in Daniel 9:27 and Jesus reiterated it
in Mt. 24: 15 as an end time event. So in spite of their best efforts to
fulfill Bible prophecy, this rebuilding of the temple is going to prove disastrous,
for when they are saying “peace and safety” then will come sudden destruction. The
antichrist will enter into the temple and declare himself to be the God of this
world and true Israelites and Jews will be forced to flee to the mountains just
as it says in Mt. 24:15-22.
This
event will be the beginning of the great tribulation and the time of Jacob’s
Trouble just as Jesus said.
So even
though we may not understand every last detail of how it will all unfold, we
can know that Israel is God’s signpost of end time events. Many Bible scholars
believe that the time of the end officially started when Israel became a nation
again in 1948. There are countless miracles that have taken place politically and
militarily so that it is obvious that God is watching over His Word to perform
it.
For
better, or for worse, I believe that God has sent Donald Trump to set end time
events into motion for I believe that the time has come for God’s prophetic
time table to be engaged. I don’t know for certain if this coming “covenant
with the many “ is the actual one mentioned in Daniel 9:27, or if it is just
leading up to it, but we certainly see the signs of our Lord’s return and the events
leading up to it.
It is
important that we stick close to our Bibles as these events unfold. There are
many opposing views and visions for Israel. Some long for its annihilation and
complete destruction… some long to set up man’s kingdom in defiance of the God
of heaven. The globalists want to create a fake millennium to be ruled by a
fake Christ so as to deceive the masses… Others, like the Vatican want to make
it the religious capital of the world by uniting all religions together. The Muslims
want to restore Jerusalem to the Turks of the Ottoman Empire so that they can
rule the world as in days of old. They want to regain their long lost Caliphate
and to be ruled by their 12th Imam. (A figure that perfectly matches
our Biblical antichrist.)
In the
end, however, David’s view, the vision he saw with his heart, will be the one
that will prevail… for the King of glory will indeed come in and will reign on
the throne of David. For God has said:
“My
covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips, once I
have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David. His descendants shall
endure forever and his throne as the sun before Me. It shall be established
forever like the moon and the witness in the sky is faithful.” Psalms 89:34-37.
And Paul
picks up on these everlasting covenants that God made with Abraham and with David.
These covenants are not conditional upon Israel’s obedience for they are sworn
by God upon His own holiness and not ours. And this is confirmed in Romans 11:29 as Paul
tells us that the gifts and the calling of God concerning Israel are
irrevocable.
This is
exactly why Israel is back in its own land today and why people from all of the
nations are streaming back into it. God says through Amos:
“Also I
will restore the captivity of My people Israel and they will rebuild the ruined
cities and live in them and they will also plant vineyards and drink their
wine, and make gardens and eat their fruit, I will also plant them on their
land AND THEY WILL NOT AGAIN BE ROOTED OUT FROM THEIR LAND WHICH I HAVE GIVEN
TO THEM” SAYS THE LORD YOUR GOD.” Amos 9:13-15
Through
Ezekiel, God made these promises:
Thus
says the Lorde God, “Behold I will take the sons of Israel from among the
nations where they have gone and I will gather
them from every side and bring them into their own land and I will make
them one nation in the land and on the mountains of Israel; and one king will
be king for all of them and they will no longer be two nations and they will no
longer be divided into two kingdoms … “My servant David will be king over them…And
I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant
with them. And I will place them and multiply them and will set My sanctuary in
their midst FOREVER. Mu dwelling place also will be with them; and I will be
their god and they will be My people. And the nations will know that I am the Lord
who sanctifies Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst FOREVER.” Ezekiel
37:21-28 (parts) Read the whole chapter and chapter 38 as well where it says:
“After many
days you will be summoned; in the latter years you will come into the land that
is restored from the sword whose inhabitants have been gathered from many
nations to the mountains of Israel which had been a continual waste; but its
people were brought out from the nations and they are living securely all of
them…” Ez. 38:8
Ezekiel
goes on to describe in great detail the true temple that will be built by the Messiah
during His millennial reign after the antichrist and the false prophet and the globalist
cabal has been destroyed by the brightness of His coming.
I don’t
claim to be an authority on these things and there are scholars much better
than I in the details of these matters, but I do believe that God has sent for
the His Word and it will not return to Him until it has accomplished the thing
which is spoken. We can wave our traditions in God’s face all we want to, but
it will not change what God has sworn upon His own name and upon His own
holiness.
God
made His everlasting covenants with Israel and we as the church did not replace
Israel, but were grafted into Israel so that by faith in Israel’s Messiah, we
too become Abraham’s seed and heirs according to promise. So when God told
Abraham that through him all the nations of the earth would be blessed, He
meant it and that is why we should be doubly careful to sort out that which is
of God and that which is of the antichrist and the Pope and the New World Order…
for in the end… only the Word of God will remain standing.
Do you
have a heart that sees? Do you have a heart that will believe what the Word
says over the opinions of men and religions? It is crucial that we do so if we
are not to be deceived in the coming years.
