EXORTATION
One of the
things we need to learn how to do is to encourage each other in the faith. This
is going to become more and more important in the days ahead. The world is
becoming more hostile towards Christians. The Lord has bought us just a little
more time. Some think this time will stretch on into glory, but as I study
Bible Prophecy I see a different story.
Revelation
13 speaks of this global beast empire that we see fighting for supremacy right before
our eyes. We see their growing hatred for Jews and Christians. And while
Revelation 12:11 says that we will overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the
word of our testimony, this doesn’t indicate that Christians will be on easy
street; nor will they even have the upper hand. Revelation 13:7 Speaking of the
coming antichrist power says: “And it was given to him to make war with the
saints and to overcome them; and authority over every tribe and people and tongue
and nation was given to him.”
We need
to prepare ourselves for the possibility that God stepped in to give us a brief
and temporary reprieve, a time in which to repent and to prepare for what lies
ahead. We can pretty much count on the fact that when the tables are turned
once again, the globalists and those that follow them are going to rise up with
a vengeance such as we have never seen in this country, to overthrow everything
that President Trump has put into place and to mount an offensive against all
things Christian.
They
will probably take down Netanyahu at the same time if not beforehand and they
will quickly begin to set up their global kingdom, which is also the antichrist
Kingdom of Revelation 13. I believe this is what the recent Revelation 12 sign
in the heavens was telling us and this is what all of the other signs in the heavens
have been telling us over the past few years. All nature has been warning us as
well. We are seeing signs in the sun, moon and stars as predicted in Joel 2.
This is
why God’s true remnant people need to become tight knit and supportive of one
another. We need to develop godly love for each other. We need to be centered
in Christ, rather than divided by various doctrines. We need to be more like the
Marines, whose motto is to never leave a soldier behind. Like it or not we are
entering into a spiritual war and we need to learn how to cover each other.
It is
interesting that in John 6, after the feeding of the 5000, as the crowds
pressed in; Jesus left both the crowds and His disciples and went to spend time
with His Father. It said that when the disciples headed across the Sea of
Galilee, it had become dark. Then when they were in the middle of the sea a
storm came up and strong winds blew. It was then that Jesus came to them in the
middle of the night, in the middle of the sea, in the middle of the storm. As
soon as they received Him into the boat, they were immediately at land on the other
side.
Many of
the things Jesus did during His time on earth not only fulfilled Bible
prophecy, but were also prophetic in nature. The question we may ask is if
Jesus will come for us in the middle of the Tribulation, in the midst of the storm
and take us instantly to the other shore.
These things
we can’t nail down for sure, but I do know that Jesus has given it to us to
encourage each other in the faith and to be strong until He comes. I pray that
you will find your true rest in Him this Shabbat. No matter how bad it looks
out there, God is in control.
There was
another occasion when a storm had come up and the disciple’s boat was about to
sink. On this occasion Jesus was with them and had fallen asleep in the boat.
He knew that His Father was in control and the disciples should have taken
their que from Jesus. He was living by divine appointment and His time to die
was not yet.
We too
can live by divine appointment and we too can have confidence that what God has
given us to do we will finish. But even if we should be cut short, we need not
fear, for as Paul said, “For me to live is Christ and to die is gain. Phil.1:21
Either way we win. So take courage. Be strong in the Lord and in the strength
of His might. And best of all, we should learn to love each other because we
are friends for eternity.
I will
leave you with these comforting words. Jesus said: “My sheep hear My voice and
I know them and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them and they shall
never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand.” John 10:27-29
