HOUSTON; WE HAVE A PROBLEM

HOUSTON; WE HAVE A PROBLEM

I don’t think it has sunk into our national mind yet just how big of a problem this hurricane on the southern coast really is. This one really is apocalyptic in nature. With 83% of the refineries shut down, how long do we think it will be until truck fuel and jet fuel and car fuel begin to run out? This has the potential of causing all of our store shelves to go empty in time.

I think they said that Houston is the 4th largest city in America. It is a port city and so when you basically shut down a city of that size, it will affect the economy            of the nation. And when you think of the time it will take to get Houston up and running again… well, that is going to be a while. How do you keep 6 million people in food and water and housing? How do you prevent disease from spreading? Such diseases as cholera and dysentery and who knows what, are bound to show up.

How do you handle the sewage of 6 million people when everything is under water? Did you see the sewage bilging up? And how do you go back to work with 2 or 3 feet of water on the office floor?

This storm is novel now. Everyone is pitching in to help everyone and primary survival is on their minds. The adrenaline is making them into heroes and heroes they truly are; but once the heroics of survival is over, then will come the tedium of their watery prison  and the unbelievable  logistical nightmare of how to transport food and supplies over flooded streets and highways.

At first we may see rising gas prices, but then perhaps we will see gas shortages and those shortages will begin to cripple the nation.

I know that many people will not equate this disaster with the solar eclipse that just brought a warning to America, but the truth is this one event could propel us into the tribulation. When America falls, then the rest of the world falls. So let’s say that the eclipse was really signaling 40 days of repentance leading to the initiation of the Tribulation this fall. Has not the New World Order been trying everything in the books to gain control of America? Is it not America that more or less keeps them from gaining control of the whole world?

If this is the beginning of the tribulation, then perhaps we can expect another disaster of some kind on the East Coast and another on the West Coast. What is to prevent China from coming in to claim its collateral from our debts? What is to prevent Russia from coming in to take our fertile soil? These nations and others are in desperate need of food and space.

As we can see, the New World Order has been trying in every possible way to get a world war started, or to find a fall guy like Donald Trump, or Kim Jung Un to blame for the coming collapse. They want to be seen as the saviors, not the instigators. They want to provide a wonderful new world leader to come in on the heels of disaster and to make the world into one big happy family. They don’t want to be seen as the bad guy in all of this.

But now, this crippling storm has been handed to them on a silver platter. They would be fools not to take this advantage to bring in martial law and global control in the name of pitching in to help.

So if the eclipse on Elul 1 which calls for 40 days of repentance leading to the Day of Atonement is really God’s final warning before judgment, we can expect to see a whole lot of events, like dominoes, to begin falling on our nation. We can begin to see global powers coming onto the scene. We can expect to see more disasters and of course, we have the satanic stooges that are rioting in the streets.

They are still mad about Hillary’s loss to Donald Trump and they are voicing their anger through hatred and violence. It only reinforces to the rest of us that we really don’t want such persons in power. Look at the demonic wave that was threatening to sweep us into the abyss.  But worse yet, disaster is coming anyway and now they can blame it on Christians.

Maybe all of this will blow away and everything will return to normal. Maybe FEMA will save the day and we will wake up in a few weeks to find America restored to what it was before the storm. I hope that is the case and we must pray that it is. But if not, then we have only begun the spiral into the greatest time of trouble there has ever been since there was a nation.

“But pray that your flight may not be in the winter or on the Sabbath; for then there will be a great tribulation such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever shall.” Mt. 24:20, 21.

Let me put it this way: We need to repent and turn fully to God. Playing church is not enough for what may be coming. We need something inside of us that the church has rarely seen in the last few decades. We need to become houses of prayer… real prayer… and not just houses of entertainment and ritual and bulletin following routines. We have become insipid and weak… social clubs. We hear, but we don’t take action. Everything is theoretical for us… doctrines that we store on our shelves and argue over, even as the world descends into chaos. We need more than that. We need boots on the ground and knees that bend before God and a faith that manifests in soul saving action.

As long as life remains normal, we live under the illusion that we are in control of our lives, but when the economy crashes and the lights go out and civil and foreign war descends upon our shores, then we will wake up and discover that the church is not the powerhouse we thought we were and we are not the warriors we thought we were. Our battle armor has never been tested. We thought our little trials and hurts were preparing us, but now we are being thrown into a global conflagration such as the world has never seen and who shall be able to stand?

Only God knows if this is the time of our visitation. I personally believe that He has been warning us with signs in the heavens for about 4 years now. I believe that these have been the signs in the sun, moon and stars, spoken of by the prophet Joel that come just prior to the great and terrible day of the Lord. Whether there will be some sort of a rapture or a special resurrection I don’t know. Many people have beliefs, but no one knows for certain. Sometimes the things we make into doctrine can only be proven in time.

So many denominations have claimed to have the doctrine to which the world must someday come. If they have any prophetic view at all, they claim theirs to be the only right one. And thus has the church been divided by words. But when the real thing comes, the Remnant will be united by their love and faithfulness and obedience to Christ. In the fox hole of persecution we will find our true identity and we will become brothers and sisters in the faith. The old divisions will have become meaningless, for then there will be one fold and one Shepherd. We will find that we either belong to Jesus Christ or we don’t and there will be no faking it.  Now we have our identity in a denomination and a set of doctrines, but then we will find our sole identity in Christ and we will either belong to Him or we will not.

We will love not our lives unto death and that in itself will separate what is real from that which was only good intention.

I, for one, believe that the church needs this kind of refining and purification. I don’t think Jesus is going to zap us out of here to reign with Him in our present immature state. The church age has been symbolized by leavened bread and there must be one final reformation … one final outpouring of the Holy Spirit to bake the leaven out of us and to preserve us, body, soul and, spirit before the throne. 1 Thess. 5:23. There may be an early resurrection and catching away of those who have allowed this refining process throughout their lives. I don’t know. Only time will tell.

People wag their heads and say that grace is enough. We only need grace. And that is absolutely true, but how many people are actually living by grace? Grace is not only unmerited favor, it is the power of God to overcome sin and to be presented faultless before the throne.  Grace is not license to disobey, but power to obey. Grace is not license to sin, but the power to overcome sin. This kind of grace has been almost lost to the church and this is what we will discover when real trouble hits us.

“And at that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another and many false prophets will arise and will mislead many and because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, it is he who shall be saved.” Mt. 24:10-13.

Find your faith in Jesus Christ. Give your heart to Yeshua and His Word. Pray that He will now finish in you that which He started when He called you. Give your life to Him anew so that you can say with Paul. “For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Phil. 1:21

We are entering into a time when Bible texts that have escaped our notice will suddenly jump into life, for Romans 8:16-17 says. “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God and if children, then heirs – heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, IF INDEED WE SUFFER WITH HIM, THAT WE MAY ALSO BE GLORIFIED TOGETHER.”

We have lived with an escapist mentality for so long that it seems foreign to our thinking that we may actually have to suffer for Christ. So we have become soft and complacent and careless. But Yeshua is looking for a passionate Bride, a proven Bride… a Bride that has overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of her testimony and  she will not love her life even unto death.”  Revelation 12:11. Selah
