FEAR NOT
FEAR NOT
As a
watchman I feel driven to warn people concerning the times and seasons that we
are now entering. I inherited this legacy from my father who spent a lifetime
outlining the events of biblical history from beginning to end in a project called
Earth: Theater of the Universe. I grew up with it and just as I was sharing
with my friend Adam at church yesterday. I have known in general all that would
take place in these last days since the early 1950s. I say, we have always known
these things in general terms, but we could not even begin to imagine how they
would take place. WE believed that they would, but we couldn’t see how.
How
could they ever control the buying and selling of the entire world?
How could
the whole world see the two witnesses?
How
could the antichrist be seen by the whole world? How could the archaic practice
of beheading every make its way back into the modern age?
How could
2/3s of earth’s population ever be killed?
And
because of replacement theology in those early days, we did not attach any
significance to Israel’s return to their land, or that it was indeed one of the
key signs of the end of the age.
We knew
there would be signs in the sun, moon and stars, but we had no idea that they
only had real significance as they coincided with God’s appointed Feasts.
Today,
however, all of these things not only seem possible, but likely to happen in
short order.
IN Daniel 12 the angel told Daniel to conceal and seal up
his visions until the end of time when knowledge would increase and men would
run to and fro. So, today we can travel the world in a matter of hours, or we
can sit in our office and travel the world of information with a few strokes of
our fingers.
Technology
is now catching up with bible prophecy making all of Gods prophecies possible
to be fulfilled in our day
Unfortunately,
with all of this vast wealth of knowledge at our fingertips, the church has
fallen asleep and about 60% of “Christian” men are now surfing the web for
porn, or sports, or things of the world… anything but Bible prophecy… and that
is why God is raising up watchmen on the walls to shout a warning to a sleeping
world. WE are not the rich and famous… the TV preachers that roll up in their limousines.
We are the quite nobodies, driven with a passion not our own. And every one of
us feels like God has been preparing us for this time all of our lives.
I am one
who feels that the last great harvest is going to be brought in during times of
extreme hardship, by the nobodies whom God has called to put it all on the line.
Every one of us is a watchman. IF we know something we share it
I am
not troubled by the plethora of varying views on last day events. IN fact, I
feel a certain sense of brotherhood with all who are studying Bible prophecy
and I definitely believe that it will be a prophetic people that will form God’s
Remnant people in these last days.
The things
that we are sharing are not intended to engender fear. (Although if you are not
in Christ you should be afraid.) Our purpose is to call a people out of Babylon,
whether it be political Babylon, or religious Babylon, or financial Babylon the
time of our departure from these things is coming swiftly and we know from God’s
Word that we don’t want to be any part of Babylon, whether it be political,
religious or financial.
Whether
there is pre-trib rapture or whether we go through the tribulation, we do not
need to be afraid. What we need is to learn how to dwell in the secret place of
the Most High and to abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalms 91)
It is
easy to be saved. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved,
you and your household.” Acts16:31
“For
you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have
received a spirit of adoption by which you cry out, “Abba Father.” Romans 8:15
But in all of these things we overwhelmingly conquer through
Him who loved us...” Rom. 8:37
“Let
your way of life be free from the love of money, being content with what you
have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I forsake
you,” so that we confidently say. “ I will not be afraid. What shall man do to
me? Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever.” Heb. 13:5,
6, 8.
WE have
made our God much too small. We have tied Him up in small doctrines and small
concepts to the point where He is no longer practical. We base our lives on the
promises we make to Him rather than the promises He makes to us and so we are
afraid. Embrace the Word and talk to God about everything. Don’t promise Him
you will do better next time. Instead invite Jesus Christ to become the
conquering King in your life. Don’t try to produce good fruit. It is the Fruit
of the Spirit. Ask Him to produce His fruit in you.
I know
that my flesh is at war with the Spirit, so there is no point in dealing with
anything in the flesh. It is God working in you, both to will and to do His
good pleasure. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me and the life
that I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me
and gave His life for me.
We live
in a covenant signed by the very blood of Jesus. We have received His Holy
Spirit as a guarantee of our salvation. He who has the Son has life… not will
have, but “Has” life. We are in Christ and Christ is in us. Let us find our
unity in Him and let us find our safety and security in Him, for what He has
started in us, HE has promised to finish. He is able to save to the uttermost
those who come to Him... His grace is sufficient. His yoke is easy and His
burden is light. He is sanctifying us in His Truth. HE is the Way, the Truth
and the Life. He is the way to the Father. Believe in Him and stop doubting and
fearing. His Word is true.
I do
not fear for my life. All of my days were numbered before there was even one of
them. When my purpose on this earth is finished, then I will go home… not a day
before or a day after. Whatever God has destined you and I to do in these last
days, He will also enable us to do. We will finish our course and we will keep
the faith. If need be we will be faithful unto death and He will give us the crown
of life. Don’t worry about anything, instead pray about everything.
Which
of you being anxious can add a single cubit to your life span? Do not be
anxious then saying, “What shall we eat or what shall we drink or with what
shall we clothe ourselves. Your heavenly Father knows. Seek first the Kingdom
of God and His righteousness and all of these other things will be added. Therefore
do not be anxious for tomorrow.
God has
given us Bible prophecy, not so that we would become afraid, but so that we
would become fearless. Selah
