WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL?
WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL?
If I
read Paul correctly then the issue of the Law is the key to rightly
understanding the New Covenant. I want to make a key statement here: THE MAIN
POINT OF THE NEW COVENANT IS NOT TO DO AWAY WITH THE LAW, BUT TO OFFER US
SOMETHING INFINITELY BETTER AND MORE POWERFUL.
So when
Paul tells us in Galatians that the Law was a temporary tutor to lead us to
Christ and that once we have come to Christ we no longer need a tutor, he could
not have said it more clearly.
In
understanding how to apply this transition from Law to Grace, Paul gives us the
sign of circumcision. Circumcision was given as a sign to Abraham long before
the Law was given on Sinai, but it was to be an eternal sign of God’s covenant
with His chosen people. (See Gen. 17:10-14 So how could such an “everlasting
covenant” law ever be done away without disobeying God?
Today
however we understand that physical circumcision of the flesh has been replaced
by the circumcision of the heart. When we come to the cross of Christ, our
connection with the world is severed and we are united with Christ and His
kingdom. As such we live by a new priesthood and a new Law (The spirit of life
in Christ Jesus) and this new covenant has the power to set us free from the law
of sin and death and to give us victory in Jesus.
Tell me…
How would you like to face the judgment on the last day? Would you like to
present your own ability to keep the Law? (The fruit of Cain) Or would you rather
offer up the perfect merits of Jesus Christ? (The offering of Abel.)
“For by
grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift
of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.” Eph. 2:8
“I pray
that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know what is the
hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the
saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who
believe. These are im accordance with the working of the strength of HIS might
which He brought about in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him
at His right hand in the heavenly places far above all rule and authority and power
and dominion and every name that is named not only in this age, but in the one
to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet and gave Him as
head over all things to the church which is His body, the fullness of Him who
fills all in all.” Eph. 1:18-23
Another
issue that we are going to face in these last days is this idea that there is
this group of people called the Jews that have a special deal with God and a
special identity with God, but here in Ephesians Paul says: “For He Himself is
our peace who made both groups (Jews and Gentiles) into one and broke down the
barrier of the dividing wall by abolishing in His flesh the enmity which is the
Law of commandments contained in ordinances, that in Himself He might make the two
into one new man, thus establishing peace and might reconcile them both in one
body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity.”
So this
entire façade of a separate identity for the Jews was done away at the cross and
we are all on equal footing. We either belong to Christ, having entered into
His death and resurrection to live by His Spirit or we are not… and there is no
other name given among men whereby we must be saved.
The Bible
warns us in Rev. 3:9 saying: “Behold I will cause those of the synagogue of
Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie--- behold I will make
then to come and bow down at your feet and to know that I have loved you.” If
we are in Christ then we are all one regardless of race.
This is
talking about something very specific here. The synagogue of Satan is none
other than the Cabbalistic Jews who brought their mystical religion from
Babylon. It is based upon sorcery and magic and divination and numerology and is
in every way that which the Bible warned us about. They are the ones who
opposed Jesus throughout His ministry and then forced Rome to crucify Him.
Today, the same false religion with the same Sanhedrin, the same Levitical
priests, the same Talmudic laws are foisting their lies upon the church and
millions are falling for it. We are happily helping them build a temple for
their Messiah who is not Jesus, for they have outright rejected Jesus. Their god
is Ein Sof and their Messiah is Metatron and this third temple is being built
for these gods and not for Yeshua our Messiah. When will we catch on?
Like the
Judaizers of old they are going to offer up the Law once again as the solution
to human suffering only this time they will make it easier for us Gentiles…
they will only enforce their Talmudic Noahide laws upon us, one of which
identifies Christianity as idolatry and punishable by death. It’s time to wake
up my friends, because I really believe that this issue is going to play right
into the Mark of the Beast in some way and only time will tell exactly what way
that will be.
Our
best defense is to know the Gospel inside and out and to be able to follow Paul’s
clear advice concerning the Law and the Gospel, for Jesus Himself commissioned
Paul to do this. Jesus brought to us a magnificent New Covenant empowered by
Himself and He doesn’t want us mixing it up with the Old Covenant that could
never save us, much less following after the Cabbalists who used their Babylonish
Talmudic religion to put Jesus to death in the first place.
All of
us across the broad spectrum of faith, need to study and come fully into this
covenant that Jesus paid for with His own blood, for as it says in Galatians
2:21b “For if righteousness comes through the Law; then Christ died needlessly.
If we
belong to Christ then we are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to promise… not
the Law, but to the promise which came 430 years before the Law and to a
different priesthood after the order of Melchizedek. We need to thoroughly
understand these issues. Only the New Covenant has the power to transform us into
the image of Christ, or to make us into a mature man to the measure of the
stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.” Eph. 4:13
Embracing
the New Covenant doesn’t make us disobedient to the Law any more than it makes
us disobedient to the law of circumcision, but it takes on a whole new form of
obedience just as circumcision is now of the heart and not of the flesh. Selah.
