GOD'S GOODNESS: A TWO SIDED COIN

GOD’S GOODNESS: A TWO SIDED COIN

“If one is to be good, then he must of necessity take a stand against that which is bad.” RL

“I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Oh magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name together. Oh taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusts in Him. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and his ears are open unto their cry.” Ps 34: 1, 3, 8, 15.

So Psalms 34 extols the goodness of God and yet in order to properly describe this goodness and holiness of God he must also describe the flip side of the coin:

“The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.  Evil shall slay the wicked; and they that hate righteousness shall be desolate. The Lord redeems the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.” Ps. 34:16, 21, 22.

Paul speaks of this in Romans 11:22. Here he is speaking about those who were cut off for rejecting God’s salvation plan and His Son Jesus. He also speaks in this same chapter about those who were grafted in to the family tree of salvation. This opens up a whole other subject, because in speaking of the Jews who were cut off he says: “I say then, they did not stumble so as to fall did they? May it never be! But by their transgression salvation has come to the Gentiles to make them jealous.”

So those replacement theologians who hate the Jews and blame them for killing Jesus and who believe that they were cut off forever and were replaced by the Gentile church, simply don’t know their Scriptures, for in Romans 11 Paul tells us that this cutting off was a temporary situation in which God has imposed a blindness (or partial hardening) upon them until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in (Romans 11:25) because God’s gifts and His calling are irrevocable.” (Romans 11:29)

But now back to our subject about the goodness of God which in fact we have not left. But in Romans 11:22, 23 Paul says to us: Behold the kindness and severity of God; to those who fell, severity, but to you, God’s kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off. And they also if they do not continue in their unbelief will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.”

Here in plain and simple language Paul tells us that Jews that receive Jesus as Savior will be grafted back in again, while those who ultimately reject Jesus to follow the god of this world will be cut off. So this false idea of the goodness of God that is now going around in which we need not live for God or obey Him or separate ourselves from the world is a false doctrine that will lead many to destruction for it is leading them directly to the kingdom of the antichrist that is now rising.

So here we see the two sides of the coin of God’s goodness. In order to maintain the holiness and righteousness of His goodness, God must also judge and condemn unrighteousness and evil. The two cannot peacefully coexist. So when you see those COEXIST bumper stickers on cars in which Jesus is made to share equal space with the other gods of this world, you know that such a sticker is flown in the face of God and it will not fly with Him.

Likewise there has been a false and unbiblical view of God’s goodness that has infiltrated the church in recent years. It stems from the song and the saying, “God is good all the time… All the time God is good.”

Is this statement true?  Absolutely… it is one hundred percent true. So how can a statement be so completely true and yet so completely false? The problem lies in their calling God good without implying all that makes God good. They leave out the other side of the coin. They talk about His kindness, but not His severity as it has to do with sin and rebellion.

We may think that I am splitting hairs here, but in fact a large portion of the church is falling away just as Paul predicted. And how are they falling away?

In 2 Tim. 3:1-5 Paul said: “But realize that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power ; and avoid such men as these.”

Paul is not talking about the world here… He is talking about the church. The world does not hold to a form of godliness. He is talking about the many churches today that maintain a form of godliness, but that deny the continuing work and power of the Holy Spirit. They have turned away from holiness as a way of life and obedience to the whole Word of God as a requirement of God.

So when they say that “God is good all the time” some of them are meaning that God will not judge sin… that He will not cut off those who choose unrighteousness… who fall away from the faith, for there is yet another element to this falling away. Not only do they teach that we don’t’ need to obey God, but as Paul also explained to Timothy concerning the last days in 1 Tim. 4:1 he says:

“But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times, some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons… and he goes on to describe something like the New Age movement. (Which is actually based on Cabbalism) But then Paul exhorts Timothy and us by saying: “Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, which was bestowed upon you through the prophetic utterance with the laying on of hands by the presbytery.” 1 Tim. 4:14.

So seducing spirits and doctrines of demons also include the mystical arts of Cabbalism that are now sweeping the world, to which many in the church are falling because they don’t walk in the Spirit of God. The result is that they do not rightly discern the spirits that are now gathering the whole world together to worship the Beast and his image.

The Cabbalists have agreed that we have now come to the time of revelation. And this word “revelation has a double meaning for them, because they know that we are entering the last days, but they are also saying that it is time to reveal their true god. It is time for them to reveal the truth of the Zohar and the nature of their coming Global government as all things are brought together under none other than Lucifer. Lucifer is the shining star of the coming global kingdom.

Now friends, perhaps this has become a new hobby horse of mine, but we must be wise and we must get the message out right now. The powers that be are in the process of passing laws that will make it illegal to say anything against their satanic rise to global control and how are they doing it? They are coupling it together with anti-Semitism. They are making it a race issue, so that if we say anything against the Luciferian Zionist movement, we will be classified as bigots… anti-Semites.

I am not anti- Jewish. I have Jewish blood in me myself and my ancestors in the old country were very active in helping fellow Jews to escape into Austria, from the Hitler regime. When Maria von trap came to America many years ago, it is said that she came to visit my grandparents and to thank them for what our forefathers did.

But now the Jews need another kind of salvation although no less critical. A much greater tyrant than Hitler is rising on the scene and he is going to use Israel as his base and the Jews as his helpers, but he will likewise betray them when he walks into their temple and declares himself to be God.

So as followers of Jesus and believers in His Word, who also are filled with His Holy Spirit… should we not warn the Jews and the Evangelicals and even some Messianic Jews who may not have discerned the spirit of antichrist. Should we not shout it from the roof tops while we still can?

As Christians we are called to give a complete and balanced message on the goodness of God. We have a heaven to win and a hell to shun and hell was not designed for humans… it was designed only for Satan and His angels. But hell must now accommodate those who choose to follow Satan. Everyone who chooses Satan’s kingdom will also share his fate.

Isaiah 5:14 says: “ Therefore Sheol has enlarged its throat and opened its mouth without measure; And Jerusalem’s splendor, her multitude, her din of revelry and the jubilant within her descend into it.”

Rev. 11:8, in talking about the slaying of the two witnesses, says: “And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which mystically is called Sodom and Egypt where also their Lord was crucified.”

So Satan has done a job on Israel, preparing it as a place of evil from which to establish his coming global government. But we must realize that he is doing so in an effort to usurp and to pre-empt the millennial reign of Christ… otherwise why would he choose this tiny nation for his target? There are much greater nations to choose from… why Israel? It is because in Psalm 48:1 we are told that Jerusalem will be the city of the Great King. And Zechariah tells us that after Jesus destroys the armies of Satan at the battle of Armageddon, He will set foot on the Mt. of Olives. He will return to the exact spot from which He departed 2000 years ago and from there He will rule the nations with a rod of iron.

God has not forgotten His covenants with Abraham and us as Christians are also beneficiaries of that same covenant, for we have not been brought in under the Mosaic covenant, but into the New Covenant with its new Melchizedek priesthood and its new laws… made possible by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. It is not by the works of the Law that we are justified, but by faith in Jesus Christ. (Rom. 3:20, 21, Gal. 2:16)

Friends… all of these things add up to the goodness of God. He doesn’t fail in His covenants. And just as He loves goodness, He also hates evil. He is going to do away with it and all of the suffering that goes with it in the very near future and so we must make a choice as to whether we will live for God or for the god of this world. And if we choose to live for God then we must choose His righteousness and holiness, His Word and His Holy Spirit that makes the New Covenant possible. (Acts 1:8, Rom. 1:16, Rev. 12:11)

God has a remnant in Israel… and remember; we are all Israel by faith in Jesus Christ, for the two have become one new man in Christ and thus all of Israel will be saved, just as it says in Romans 11:26.

But those who have fallen away and joined the apostasy will not be saved for they have chosen the god of this world and the spirit of antichrist. Hell hath enlarged itself to accommodate all who have chosen to follow the antichrist and to take his mark. Lucifer is no substitute for Christ.

So let us celebrate the goodness of God. Let His praise continually be in our mouths. And let us also celebrate His justice, for in it this evil kingdom, with all of its pain and suffering, will come to an end and we will reign with Jesus Christ forever.
