TIME AND SPACE
TIME AND SPACE
Albert
Einstein called time an illusion. In other words time doesn’t exist as an
entity. Time is related to movement since it takes time for a physical object
to move from here to there. Time is also related to decay, since in our
physical universe (since the fall of mankind) everything decays, suns burn out,
stars explode, planets spin and orbit in perpetual motion and it is from such
movement that we have our seasons.
Our sun
has cycles of solar minimums and solar maximums and our planets are protected
from outer space by the sun’s heliosphere, a giant electromagnetic atmosphere
in which our planets circle the sun. In turn this heliosphere from the sun creates
the magnetosphere that circulates from pole to pole to protect our planet from
the sun’s harmful rays and the cosmic radiation that comes to our planet from
outer space.
Our sun
is in a solar minimum cycle right now and it should result in cooler
temperatures and a buildup of ice on the poles, but something is happening
within our heliosphere that is heating up our planet as well as the other
planets in our solar system. Accordingly Al Gore may tell you that our planet
is heating up because of the cars we drive, but in truth that is simply
globalist nonsense geared to control our lives. I seriously doubt that my
pickup truck is causing unprecedented storms on Mars and Jupiter.
But
that is not really my subject today because the Spirit of God dwells completely
outside of all of this time as we know it. And God does not need to move in the
way we think of it when we ask God that His glory come down. God is already
everywhere in time and space and yet outside of it. This attribute that we call
“Omnipresence” is a very big word. It means everywhere present both in time and
in space and outside of time and space.
To God
all time is the same. He sees us standing on the sea of glass just as easily as
He sees Abraham believing in Him and being willing to offer his own son as a
prototype of His own infinite gift.
We have
such a problem with predestination as we seek to describe it in human terms,
but our sad little explanations fizzle when we realize that He, God, is the
Alpha and the Omega. He knows who is standing on the Sea of Glass and so He
sends His angels as Psalm 91 says: “For He will give His angels charge
concerning you to guard you in all your ways. And…”Are they not all ministering
spirits sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit
salvation?” Heb. 1:14
But
since God need not move in order to come to us, since He is omnipresent, we
must ask ourselves what attracts His attention to us? How does He determine
whom He will save and who will be left out of the marriage?
“Thus
says the Lord, Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool. Where then is
a house you could build for Me? And where is a place that I may rest? For My hand
made all these things, thus all these things came into being,” declares the
Lord. “But to this one I will look, to him who is humble and contrite of spirit
and who trembles at My Word.” Isa. 66:1, 2
Do you
want to get God’s attention? Then humble yourself before Him… feed upon His
Word and tremble at what it says. Eat the flesh of His Son and drink His blood,
for His flesh is true food and His blood is true drink, for the words that He
speaks to us are spirit and they are life. John 6:51
“If any
man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me as the Scripture
said, ‘From his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water. But this He
spoke of the Spirit whom those who believe in Him were to receive; for the Spirit
was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” John 7:37-39
But
Jesus HAS been glorified with the glory that He ever had with the Father. He
entered time… He entered into our physical universe as one of us in order to
die for us, but when He ascended to the throne He was glorified so that His omnipresent
Holy Spirit can be with us, not just some times, but all the time and everywhere.
And it is because He dwells in a different dimension that He can be even closer
to us than we are to each other. HE can dwell in us.
This is
why David asks in Psalm 139. “Where can I go from Thy Spirit?” All spirit, good
or bad dwells outside of time and space. Spirit is not of this dimension. Even
our born again human spirit, while being a part of our body from birth, does
not dwell in this dimension. It dwells in the omnipresent presence of God and
that is how He hears our every thought and every prayer. Our born again spirit is
extradimensional and that is also how we can be seated with Him in heavenly
places even though our body is firmly attached to this physical planet.
These
things are not mere metaphors. Jesus, in John 17 prays that we might be a part of
His spiritual family with a unity that is shared only between the Father and the
Son. He wants to draw us into that union. And looking down through earth time,
Jesu said: “ I do not ask in behalf of these alone, but for those also who
believe in Me through their word; that they may be one; even as Thou, Father
art in Me and I in Thee, that they also may be in Us…” John 17:20, 21a.
Wow, do
you get that? In the Spirit realm words and names have spiritual power. The name
of Jesus, wields authority over every principality and power and the Word of
God contains that same power to transform us and to operate as His ambassadors
in this physical space/time world.
Today the
world and large portions of the church are falling away simply because they no
longer tremble at God’s Word. They no longer operate in the Spirit of God, as
He intended when He poured out His Spirit upon us at Pentecost. And spirit does
not decay or die. It is not a part of this physical creation. Spirit is
eternal. God’s Spirit is eternal, our born again spirit is eternal… even evil
spirits are eternal and doomed to eternal punishment. And if the Holy Spirit is
the very part and parcel, the active agent in our salvation, how can it be said
that He died away after the apostles died. It is not the Holy Spirit that has
died away; it is we who have walked away from the power of Pentecost. We
desperately need to get it back.
But if
we will come to God with a humble and contrite heart and if we will once again
tremble at His Word and feed upon it, then we will be eating His spiritual
flesh and drinking His spiritual blood. And we can sit around and intellectually
argue doctrine until we are blue in the face, but Jesus said: “It is the Spirit
who gives life; the flesh profits nothing, the words that I have spoken to you
are spirit and are life.” John 6:63
It was
when Jesus was saying that we must eat His flesh and drink His blood that many
of the disciples fell away from Him… and might I suggest that it is the same
issue today that is causing many to fall away. Is it not over the Word? Is it
not over the Spirit? Is it not over the blood and body of Christ?
We want
to eat the choice and pleasant parts of the lamb, but God instructed Israel to
eat the entire lamb. Their salvation from Egypt depended on it and our
salvation today depends upon the same thing. Jesus warned us that if we truly
follow Him we will face persecution. But why? It is because we belong to a
kingdom of light, but we are living in a kingdom of darkness. When we carry the
Spirit of Jesus in us, we attract demons. They come to see if we have the same
power and authority that Jesus did… and that is why we must be much more than
Christians in name only. We need to have the real thing, the real authority. The
real Word hidden in our hearts… the real character of Christ, for we are
entering the final battle and the Holy Spirit is leading us into the desert to
face the devil, even as He led Jesus into the wilderness to face the devil. But
only Jesus in us can defeat Satan.
Today
the demons feel quite safe and comfortable in most churches, simply because
they no longer operate in the Spirit and power of Jesus Christ. And therefore
Satan is infiltrating churches with false doctrine and false prophecies and he
is drawing them back to Rome and into the coming global religion of the
antichrist. So if you belong to a church that is making nice with the pope or
joining the ecumenical movement… flee from it as if your life depends on it and
it does.
Our
petty little arguments and our intellectual pride won’t stand a chance. Only
the genuine power of Christ dwelling in us will survive the delusions and
persecutions that are coming… and we want to escape it all, but in truth most
of us cannot even resist small temptations, let alone life threatening ones. We
are nearly spiritually dead and in need of a spiritual overhaul.
It is
time for God’s true Remnant people to humble ourselves before God and the
tremble at His Word once again… not as intellectual arguments over doctrine…
but as spiritual food for that part of us that belongs to eternity so that in the
process of our lives, our souls will be saved and sanctified and set apart unto
salvation in the mighty name of Jesus. The Bride must now make herself ready.
