THE GRAND CONVERGENCE

                My brother, Bob called me from Dallas, Texas yesterday asking if I had heard the news. I had not and so he went on to tell me that on Fox News they had reported that all of the leaders of the Mormon religion are making a trip to Rome to meet with the Pope.

                This may seem like no big deal to those who are not acquainted with Bible prophecy, but it represents another large slice of the religious world that is joining the grand convergence that is being headed up by Pope Francis. Many Christians would be shocked and horrified today if they really knew what is going on. Many religious leaders, including evangelical and even Pentecostal leaders as well  as many of the main stream Christians branches, are going to Rome with hat in hand to join the coming world religion.

                I received a personal letter from our friends at Israeli news live 2 days ago warning of another shocking convergence that is taking place. Many Christians and Messianic Jews are getting caught up in the Hebrew roots movement. Among these many are renouncing Jesus and are returning to the one G-d of the Old Testament.

                This is what happens when people fail to rightly divide the Word of God. Like I have explained over and over again, the New Covenant does not do away with the Old Covenant. The New Covenant is in fact the real covenant to which the Old Covenant pointed. And Jesus showed us this in Luke 24:27 where it says: “And beginning with Moses and with all the prophets He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures. So the entire Old Covenant serves as a positive ID for Jesus that authenticates who Jesus was and is.

                So the Old Covenant becomes the foundation upon which the New Covenant sits, but we need to be warned of an extreme danger of misusing the Old Covenant. Jesus came to earth from heaven to fulfill the Old Covenant in every way. He then died a horrible death on our behalf and then rose from the dead and went back to heaven to be our New High Priest after the order of Melchizedek… a priesthood that came before the Law.

                Then Jesus sent down His Holy Spirit into our hearts to make alive the New Covenant in us and to transform us into the His image. The Old Covenant, as Paul points out was inadequate to restore us to the image of our Maker. It could only point out our failures and then lead us to the cross where by faith we enter into Christ’s death, dying both to the Law and to the flesh, we now live by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave His life for us. Gal. 2:20, 21.

                I hope you are getting this because it is vitally important. IF WE GO BACK AND TRY TO DERIVE OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS FROM THE OLD COVENANT, WE,IN EFFECT, THUMB OUR NOSE AT THE  DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF CHRIST AND WE GRIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT JUST AS HEBREWS 6:4-6 TELLS US SAYING:

                “”For in the case of those how have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame.”

                In other words, it is a serious offense to Jesus and to His Holy Spirit if we go back and try to live out of a previous covenant, now that Jesus has shed His blood on our behalf and signed the New Covenant in His own blood and sealed it with His Holy Spirit.

                Don’t get me wrong here. The Old Covenant is filled with vital and important information which we need to know and understand… as long as we understand that it points forward to and describes the necessity of a New Covenant. But if we cross over the line and begin to observe its laws and to keep its types and shadows as a way of life rather than a source of information, then we have made void the blood of Jesus (The True Lamb of God) and His Holy Spirit (Who now writes on our hearts that which the Law pointed to, but could not deliver.) See Gal. 3:22-29

                Paul in all of his letters is warning the people not to go back to those weak ways of the Law which could not do anything about the weakness of our flesh. He pleads with the Galatians saying: “For my children with whom I am again in labor until Christ is formed in you- but I could wish to be present with you now and to change my tone, for I am perplexed about you. Tell me, you who want to be under law, do you not listen to the Law?” And he then compares the two covenants to two women, Hagar the slave woman corresponding to Mt. Sinai and Sarah, the free woman who represents the New Jerusalem above, for Hagar is of the Law and Sarah is of the promise. One is under a Levitical priesthood and the other is under the Melchizedek priesthood, based not on law but on God’s Covenant promises.

                Like I said and Paul also, if we go back to a covenant previously ratified and we try to live by it then we put the sacrifice of Christ to open shame and we grieve the Holy Spirit who was sent into our hearts to convict us concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.

                This again is where false grace comes in, because they deny the power of the Holy Spirit to make us holy, and treat grace as tolerance which it is not. God does not tolerate sin and He has sent His Holy Spirit into the world to empower us unto righteousness. WE must bear the fruit of the Spirit. Gal. 5:22

                So we have large swaths of the church going back to the Old Covenant and joining the Jews (The ones who say they are Jews and are not, but are of the synagogue of Satan: Rev. 3:9) And they are forming this grand convergence of Zionists Jews, along with the Pope and the Free Masons and the global elite  to form the kingdom of the antichrist and to build a temple for him in which Jesus says he will commit the Abomination of Desolation… and we are falling for it hook line and sinker for two reasons:

1.       We have failed to rightly divide the Word of truth

2.       We have abandoned the study of Bible prophecy that would have warned us of these things.

                I am reading a book by Dr. Thomas Horn, who has been one of the foremost in exposing the Satanic Vatican in our day and He has written a book called “The Rabbis, Donald Trump and the top secret plan to build the Third Temple.” In his book he divulges the horrifying truth that the building of the third temple is in fact at the center of the coming antichrist kingdom. It forms a part of the great delusion that will sweep the world.

                The Rabbis of the Sanhedrin truly believe that the building of the third temple will bring the Messiah and begin the Messianic age and Donald Trump has promised to accommodate them  in gathering the nations together in support of this temple and of course the Pope is busy coalescing the religions of the world together to worship the antichrist when he comes and unfortunately, since they don’t have their prophetic facts straight, they are preparing not for the return of Christ, but for the rise of the antichrist and most of the world is falling for it.

                If our Pastors and Bible teachers truly understood what was happening they would be screaming out their warnings from the roof tops, but nobody knows or understands Bible Prophecy any more. They don’t teach it in Seminary. A few of the cult type religions teach it, but they wrap prophecy all up in themselves so that it doesn’t seem to apply to Christianity in general. And the devil has been very clever in getting well- meaning people to predict the date of Christ’s coming so that nobody wants to touch it with a ten foot pole.

                The whole world it seems is falling for the great delusions that the Bible warns about and they are all lining up like sheep for the slaughter, all because they ignored the parts of God’s Word that would have informed them and warned them.

                Sometimes it is tempting to feel like Elijah, sitting in his cave on Mt. Sinai and feeling all alone, but in reality, there are intrepid and brave souls like Dr. Thomas Horne and Dr. Michael Heiser and Steven BenNoon of Israeli News Live along with several other Internet preachers and teachers that are putting the pieces of the puzzle together to warn us.

                I was fortunate to have grown up with my Father who studied these things out and bequeathed to me a vision of the big picture and we grew up with an Adventist understanding  (which was also the reformation understanding) of who the pope was and where  all of this was headed. We have known the things all of our lives and now we are seeing them come to pass with great accuracy.

                Knowing what I know right now I fear that my Messianic brothers and sisters are in real danger of allowing the scale to tip on the wrong side of the cross unless they remember that all of the Old Covenant points to Jesus and that the Passover Seder was replaced by the bread and wine of the New Covenant. The congregation that I attended in Vancouver, Washington was very Christ centered and that is good, but there are other  groups such as we visited here that Bonnie and I felt had crossed over that line, having fallen back into observing those things which cannot save us.

                I believe that we are watching the great falling away from the faith that Paul talked about in 2 Thess. 2:3, 4 right now and we are watching the rapid buildup of the antichrist kingdom that will soon take control of the globe and eventually enforce the Mark of the Beast. We don’t have all of the answers and we don’t know all of the details, but we know enough to watch and pray and to recognize the dangers as they come to pass.

                The good news in all of this is that Jesus said: “But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near… but keep on the alert at all times, praying in order that you might be counted worthy to escape all of these things that are about to take place and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:28, 36.

                We are definitely entering into that time the Jesus spoke about and we don’t know how much of it we will have to face… after all, Christians in some other countries have been facing tribulation and persecution for years now and in fact the history of the church has been laced with many persecutions and tribulations, but now in our day the birth pangs are increasing in frequency and intensity as we enter into the final birth of the man child, the sons of God for whom all of creation waits with anxious longing.” Romans 8:19-23, 29.

                So hang in there with the Lord. Live by His Holy Spirit, rightly dividing the Word of truth and you will be ready as a bride adorned for her husband at His return.
