THE GREATEST TRAGEDY

THE GREATEST TRAGEDY

One of the greatest tragedies of our time is that our churches no longer teach Bible Prophecy. The second great tragedy is that we don’t even know quite what it means to teach Bible Prophecy, or to live with a prophetic view. Like Gehazi the prophet of Elisha, if our prophetic eyes were opened even for a moment, we would be shocked and maybe even terrified. We would drop to our knees and cry out to God to make us ready… to do whatever is needed in our lives to prepare us for His soon return.

Without a prophetic view, life becomes circular. We go through the same routines day in and day out. I have friends who simply got bored with church and decided that they were better off socializing with a local exercise club for seniors. They have absolutely no clue as to where we are in time, or that major end time events are coming to pass right before our eyes, or that the false prophet of Revelation 13 is rounding up all of the religions of the world and preparing them to worship the Beast and His image. But sadly, most church members don’t know it either.

They didn’t hear about it in church and they are certainly not hearing it down at the local exercise club and they won’t hear it on the daily news unless they know what to look for. And if you try to tell them about it they say “Yeah, yeah, yeah, we heard something about that when we were kids and our grandparents heard about it when they were kids, so what’s new?

Speaking of those who lived in Jesus’ day John said: “But though He had performed so many signs before them, yet they did not believe in Him; that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled which he spoke, “Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”  For this cause they could not believe, for Isaiah said again, “He has blinded their eyes and He hardened their heart; lest they see with their eyes and perceive with their heart and be converted and I heal them.” John 12:37-40, Isa. 6:10.

As I have said so many times, studying bible prophecy is not about charts and graphs and trying to predict the future. It is rather a matter of coming to understand God’s plans and purposes from Genesis to Revelation and where we are in those purposes. We need to understand that the whole Bible is extremely relevant. Let me demonstrate.

Why did God use Daniel and Nebuchadnezzar to tell us about the rise and fall of nations as in Daniel 2? Well, all of these kingdoms represent Satan’s attempts at globalism. The idea of a New World Order is not new at all. Satan wants the whole world to worship him and he doesn’t want any groups anywhere to refuse to bow down. So he hates God’s people the Jews and He hates God’s people the Christians and he wants to annihilate them and if he can’t do it with persecution, he will do it with complacency and compromise.

So why did God give us a detailed history of Israel? Why did God choose to expose all of the dirty details? Normally, history is written by the winners and all of the bad stuff is swept under the rug so we can worship the heroes. But God chose to show not only the greatness of His people of faith, but their colossal failures as well, but why?

“Now these things happened to them as an example and they were written for our instruction upon whom the ends of the ages have come.” 1 Cor. 10: 11. In other words, we who live in the last days are supposed to learn something from them.

So when George HW Bush stood up some years back and started talking about the formation of a New World Order, it should have piqued our interest and our interest should never have waned, because the New World Order has come a long way and we think that God used Donald Trump to block their path, but in many ways it has sped the end time process up exponentially.

Did you know that Trumps and Kushner’s plan of all plans for Israel, having been adopted by the pope, is now being carried to every one of the 70+ nations of the world to be signed by them? Did you understand that when the “many” have signed this covenant that all the antichrist has to do is to step onto the scene and confirm this covenant with the many? Dan. 9:27

Did you understand that we are now living in the time period of Daniel’s statue represented by the ten toes? Did you realize that they are even now putting together the ten kings of the ten regions of the world? Did you understand that according to Rev. 18, this global kingdom will only last for one prophetic day or one prophetic hour (A very short period of time) and that it will be brought to an end by the stone kingdom cut out of the mountain without hands? That is to say that in the days of this final global kingdom; just when they have barely put it together, Jesus Christ will return and grind the nations into powder and set up a kingdom that fills the whole earth?

Do we know what time it is? All of the nations are jockeying for position and making ready to fulfill their role in Bible prophecy. Satan knows Bible prophecy very well and he has no choice but to follow the plan. The only thing he has going for him is deception. He only has to blind the eyes of the church and that he did when he diverted them away from a study of Bible Prophecy. They no longer teach it in Seminary, so the preachers and Pastors of this nation don’t know any more about it than we do. We haven’t learned a thing from Israel and we are every bit as blind as they were when Jesus arrived on the scene. We are well entrenched in our traditions and our opinions about how Bible prophecy will unfold, and God help anyone who dares to question the traditions.

Our entire planet is going into convulsions. Apocalyptic storms of every kind are strafing the nations. Millions of birds and fish and animals are dying on a daily basis as nature goes wild.
The nations are preparing for global war in every sector. Science is about to repeat the sins of Genesis 6 with their genetic manipulation of man and animals and plants, for in Noah’s day it says that they sinned against the plants and animals and against man… And need we bring up Sodom and Gomorrah?

Do we not realize that the religious leaders of Israel who had spent their entire lifetimes teaching and living by the types and shadows that described the Messiah in every detail… that they were staring Jesus right in the face… that they were watching Him perform all of the signs and wonders predicted in scripture and fulfilling all of the prophecies and yet they put Him to death?

We can sit around and blame the Jews all we want to, but we are doing the same thing today. We crucify Him with our sins, our careless deeds, our complacency, our lack of Holy Spirit power. On our watch, this nation has turned from being basically a Christian nation to a godless, antichrist, idolatrous, child sacrificing, sodomizing nation that stands in rebellion against God’s Word and His Holy Spirit.

Today most churches have resorted to self-help psychology and careless anecdotes for a better me… a more prosperous me. It is no longer popular to talk about entering into Christ’s death in order that we may live by the power of His resurrection. Oh, we like the last part, but the death part we no longer pay attention to. Today we would rather keep the Law or our traditions rather than to let it put us to death so that we can live by something infinitely greater… the very Spirit of Christ.

We don’t want the Holy Spirit to mess up our well- ordered services or to stray from our pre-printed bulletins. We talk about the Holy Spirit, but we don’t really need Him, (thank you very much) He is no longer our life, our breath, our very existence this side of the cross. Most of us don’t even remember or comprehend why Jesus sent us Pentecost in the first place and to accommodate our unbelief, we make doctrines that say that it all ended with the apostles.

Do we think that this does not grieve the Holy Spirit by whom we were sealed for the day of redemption? Eph. 4:30… that is if indeed we were even sealed with the Holy Spirit?

Yesterday I was going through some of my notebooks in which I jot down thoughts and ideas. I was trying to clear the clutter a bit when one of my notebooks fell open to this page and so I will leave you with the thoughts I found there. (And this is why I find it so hard to throw away this stuff, because sometimes the Holy Spirit inspires things that get jotted down and forgotten. Here’s what it said:

Before we can see holy things, we must have sanctified eyes.

Before we can hear holy things, we must have sanctified ears.

Before we can enter into holy places we must have sanctified lives.

Before we can dwell in His holy presence we must have a sanctified soul and spirit.

Before we can dwell in the secret place of the Most High, we must renounce all other places of refuge.

Before we can know the mind of God we must have a sanctified mind, a mind that desires only His will.

The Holy Place is the place of sanctification. It prepares us to enter within the veil.

Let these things be your meditation today. Time is short and if we want to be among the wise virgins, then we must allow the Holy Spirit to prepare us to dwell in the presence of a Holy God.
