SEARCHING FOR CLARITY
SEARCHING FOR CLARITY
Today I
want to share a letter that I wrote in response to questions by a Messianic
friend of mine concerning an article I wrote warning us of the dangers of the
Noahide laws that are in the works globally.
I have privileged
by God to have been intimately involved in at least three different faith
groups in my lifetime. I was born and raised as an Adventist. I was later
involved in the Charismatic movement, then Bonnie and I became involved in the
Messianic movement and now we are involved in the Pentecostal movement.
In each
of these groups I have seen the wonderful formation of God’s Remnant people and
in each I have also seen a dangerous falling away from the faith once offered
to the saints.
When I
write about such mega trends, I try to write in the broadest of general terms
of what I see going on in the world rather than pointing a finger at specific
places that I have attended, or people that I have known. It is in the larger
view of the formation of the Body of Christ that we can best see what Jesus is
doing by His Holy Spirit, verses what Satan is doing via the spirit of
antichrist in the world today.
When I
talk about the church, I am most often talking about the whole church as it is
in the world today, with the understanding that as Jesus said; the wheat and
the tares will grow together until the harvest. We need to know the difference,
wouldn’t you say? Therefore we are best served by speaking to principle rather
than pointing fingers and this I try to do, in the hopes that people in each of
the three groups will see what applies to their lives and mine.
This
small letter is geared toward the Messianic movement, since questions were
asked by a Messianic believer, but they really apply on a much larger scale,
since a large chunk of the Evangelical church is likewise involved in the hope
of Israel and since many people don’t know the difference between what, in
Israel, is being built by the antichrist cabal and what is being formed as the
remnant of God’s Jewish people.
The
truth is the greatest showdown between Christ and Satan is going to be staged
in Israel ad we see the stage being built right now and we see the people on
both sides seeking supremacy over the world. We know that Yeshua will
eventually come to reign over all of the earth and we know that the kingdoms of
this world will be destroyed, but god has given the world one last chance to
choose which kingdom they will belong to and these choices will become our
final answer.
Therefore,
we need to know and understand Bible prophecy like never before, and yet Satan
has chosen in this most critical of times to divert the church from a study of Bible
prophecy. All he had to do was to get a few people to predict a date for Christ’s
return so that when it did not come to pass, people would shy away from
prophecy altogether. Today we have a church that ignores signs in the sun, moon
and stars… signs in the tumult of the nations… signs in the moral and spiritual
collapse of society… and signs in the ever increasing catastrophic rampaging of
nature. Our defenses have become so strong that they have rendered us almost
completely blind and caught up in the things of this world.
Well,
at any rate, here is the let that I sent in response to questions concerning
warnings that I have given.
“Hi ________... first of all we loved Rehoboth and the
people with all of our hearts and would still be there if the Lord had not told
us to go to Tennessee. I believe in the Messianic movement… I believe that it
has at least two specific purposes in these last days 1. To remind the Gentile
church of its Jewish origins, in that Jesus was a Jew and so were His disciples
and all of the first Christians. And 2. To win the Jews to Yeshua, by restoring
His Jewish identity so that Jews come to understand that He is their Jewish
Messiah. So I believe fully and completely in the Messianic movement and its
purposes.
However,
we also know from Bible prophecy that when the 3rd temple is built the
antichrist AKA the Beast of Revelation 13 is going to enter the temple and
claim to be G-d. This we know to be the Abomination of Desolation mentioned by
Yeshua in Matthew 24:15. What Messianic believers need to understand is that
there are 2 kingdoms being built in Israel today. One is made up of the unfaithful
political Zionists who are in collusion with the Pope to build a global
kingdom. The other is made up of God's faithful Remnant people of Israel who
will receive Yeshua and who will flee to the mountains when the antichrist
commits the Abomination of Desolation.
In my
love for the Messianic people I feel it important to understand that there are
both good and evil kingdoms forming in Israel and that we must be very careful
in discerning the difference because as Yeshua said, "If possible even the
very elect will be deceived. In other words, those that are planning to enforce
Noahide laws are haters of Yeshua and they intend to make it a capital offense
worthy of the death penalty to worship Yeshua. This is the work of the
antichrist and not the work of God or Yeshua and it will result in the
persecution spoken of in bible prophecy.
My
Friends, Steven and Jana BenNoon are Messianic Jews from the ministry
"Israeli News Live" that are trying to warn the Messianic people of
the world as well as Zionist Christians to become wise about which movements
they support in Israel. We don't want to help the antichrist to build his
Yeshua hating kingdom. Some false Christians today are trying to deny the
Jewish foundations of God's Word even seeking to do away with the Hebrew
Scriptures. This too is a false movement because Yeshua went through all of the
Hebrew Scriptures teaching His disciples the things about Himself beginning
with Moses and all the prophets. To do away with the Hebrew Scriptures would be
to do away with Yeshua's authentic identity and it will leave the false church
vulnerable to worship the antichrist.
So it
is with love for my Messianic brothers and sisters that I send these warnings.
We can't just wave the Jewish flag as if there can be no wrong in Israel, for
in fact the antichrist kingdom is being built there even as Messianic Jews are
establishing the kingdom of Yeshua there. Rabbi Zev Porat is a faithful
Messianic believer that is busy day in and day out witnessing for Yeshua in
Jerusalem and Israel. (Even now many Jews are coming to the Lord) We live in
difficult and confusing times, when there are both true and false movements
growing together in Israel, but there are true and false movements growing
together in the church as well. Many Christians are likewise falling away from
the faith once offered to the saints and it is in knowing the difference
between what is true and what is false that the Lord has made me a watchman. I
am only a little watchman among many, but I must tell the truth, for I am
responsible to God for those who read what I write. I pray daily for His Holy
Spirit to keep me on track. It seems that I am driven to deal with many issues
on many fronts. During my lifetime the Lord has led me to live in three
different environments. I was raised an Adventist, then spent many years in the
Charismatic movement and then the Messianic movement and now in the Pentecostal
movement. In each of these three/four groups I have seen the powerful good, the
formation of God's Remnant people and the wonderful leading of God. But in each
one I have also seen a shocking and dangerous ignorance, based simply upon the
fact that the body of Christ has largely abandoned the study of Bible Prophecy
and the big picture by which they could have recognized what is true and what
is false. Even the basic practice of Bible Study and prayer has been missing in
a majority of Christians, as well as the fellowship of the Holy Spirit who is
promised to guide us into all truth. To some I point out the danger of building
a doctrine from the Bible in which they choose the texts that support their
views while ignoring the texts that don't fit. Like Chuck Missler once said.
"If you torture the Bible long enough, you can make it say anything you
want it to say." But we are now entering into that time period that
prophecy talks about. It is the time of the harvest when the wheat and tares
are separated. Each one of us needs to allow the Holy Spirit and the Word to
weed out of our lives, all that is false… to separate the wheat from the chaff
in our individual lives as well understanding what is right and what is wrong
in the church and in Israel today. The truth is we will not be saved by an
organization... any organization, but by a personal relationship with Yeshua as
His blood covers our sins and His Holy Spirit empowers us to be conformed to
the image of God's Son. I hope this makes some sense to you. I mean no ill
towards the Messianic people or to any other group in which I have been
involved. As a watchman my job is to make people think and to help to sort out
truth from error. I pray with all that is in me that God has the reins of my
heart and that we will all grow together in our love for what is true and
righteous and eternal. Blessings to you my friend.”
Friends,
we are racing toward the finish line… the final harvest. There are many
theories, or doctrines concerning when Jesus will come, but as one prophetic
minister said just the other day, “If He doesn’t come in the clouds and catch us
up to meet Him in the air, then it isn’t Jesus. We need to know and to
understand the specifics of last day events because according to the Bible,
many will be deceived and many will fall away from the faith giving heed to seducing
spirits and doctrines of demons.
If
possible even the very elect will be deceived and that should be our warning to
study carefully all of the issues we face in these last days. It is for love
and not for criticism that I maul over all of these things and seek the
guidance of the Lord. None of us has the whole truth, for as Paul said, “We see
through a glass darkly. We will not fully understand any of it until we see Him
face to face… but what He has given to us to understand, we will be responsible
for in the end.
Love and
blessings to all in the mighty name of Jesus who alone can save us.
