LIVING IN PROPHETIC TIMES

LIVING IN A PROPHETIC TIME

“In that day I will raise up the fallen tabernacle of David and wall up its breaches; I will also raise up its ruins and rebuild it as in the days of old; that they may possess the remnant of Edom (The descendants of Esau, said by some to be Rome) and all the nations who are called by My name” declares the Lord who does this.” Amos 9:11-12

We are going to deal with Amos’s prophecy concerning the last days and we will deal with verses 11-15, but we will take it in sections. This prophecy is typical of Old Testament and perhaps even New Testament prophecies. The prophets, knowingly or unknowingly blended local and current prophecies with future end time prophecies as well as the ultimate intentional purposes of God in the millennium or in eternity.

Let me explain. Amos prophesied in the days of Jeroboam II and King Uzziah just two years before the great landmark earthquake which resulted in a gap in Israel’s history of 24 years. Amos prophesied the death of Jeroboam by the sword and warned of the captivity of Israel that came 78 years later… but beyond that the hope of rebuilding the ruins and dwelling in their land once again.

Israel knew about the Tabernacle, about the Law and the Feast days and the various offerings of the Lord, but they despised them. They were living in complete rebellion and idolatry at this time. So while Amos spoke of a time of regathering (after all at least the Jews were back in their land when Jesus walked the earth) Amos’s prophecies stretch on through time to the return of Israel to their land as it is in our time, for it speaks of a time when Israel will never go into captivity again.

I think the people of Israel believe that they are in the process of fulfilling Amos’s prophecies right now as they lay plans to rebuild the temple. Indeed Israel has become a fruitful land and many end time prophecies have come to pass since 1948 when Israel was reborn from the ashes of a 2000 year old wasteland. But as we look at His prophecy in detail, we also see discrepancies. We see ultimate purposes of God that are not being fulfilled by the current rebuilding of the temple.

Here Amos prophesies the rebuilding of the tabernacle of David, but the tabernacle of David was not like the tabernacle of Moses, or the Temple of Solomon or the temple of Herod. The Tabernacle of David was a tent without walls and without veils. The glory of the Lord could be seen and David surrounded it with worshippers and musicians 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is further said that people who came into the presence of the Lord in this tabernacle were healed and restored.

But there is another fact about the coming tabernacle of David. The Lord Himself is going to build it. (“In that day(I) will raise up the fallen tabernacle of David” )

What this means then is that this current temple that they are preparing to build in Jerusalem represents, (whether they know it or not), an attempt by Satan to fake the millennial reign of Christ and to replace the true Messiah with an antichrist messiah who will speak great things against the Most High and blasphemies and he will indeed enforce laws, such as the Mark of the Beast that will try to force the whole world into submission to his authority. (See Daniel 7:8,19, 20, 11:35-45and Rev. 13:1-18, Rev.17:1-18)

So while they may mean well, they are building this current temple, not the tabernacle of David, but one after the order of Herod. It will be inhabited by a false messiah.

Notice that they use the language of the bible concerning the millennial temple built by the Lord that will become a house of prayer for all nations. Unfortunately, this coming global unity will be based upon force and compromise as the religions of the world coalesce to bring to pass the COEXIST dreams of the demonic New Age. It is the utopian dreams of those who would seek to rule the whole world in unity apart from God and it will result in the greatest time of trouble that has existed since there was a nation.

But out of this great failure will emerge the ultimate purposes of God, for when the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION      takes place in the temple as spoken of by Daniel and reiterated by Jesus as a last day event, (Mt. 24:15)God’s faithful Jews will flee from Jerusalem and Judea and they will be chased into the wilderness by antichrist armies, but God will destroy those armies with a flood. Then Jesus will appear with His saints and deliver them from the ensuing global battle of Armageddon and then set foot on the Mt. of Olives and ride into Jerusalem to take up the real millennial reign of the Messiah. Zechariah 14:1-5

The end result is that they will finally receive their true Messiah, for it says in Zechariah 12:9, 10:

“And it will come about in that day that I will set about to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced and they will mourn for Him as one mourns for an only son and they will weep bitterly over Him, like the bitter weeping over a first-born.”

Thus will be fulfilled the prophetic life of Joseph when He was finally reconciled with his brothers. Many Jews today don’t recognize Jesus now because we have made Him look like an Egyptian (Gentile) but in that day they will finally recognize Him and the reconciliation will be great.

So Amos finishes his prophecy in Amos 9 by saying: “Also I will restore the captivity of My people Israel and they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them, and they will plant vineyards and drink their wine, and make gardens and eat their fruit. I will also plant them on their land and they will not again be rooted out from their land which I have given them,” says the Lord your God.” Amos 9:14, 15.

Much of the church today that supports Israel does so without wisdom and discernment simply because the church has stopped studying Bible prophecy. If we truly understood what is coming we would support Israel by feeding their poor and those who are coming back to the land at God’s beckoning. We would support those Messianic ministries in Israel that are trying to warn the Jewish people and to win them to Yeshua, but we would not pour money into helping them build the temple.

There are worthy ministries in Israel, Messianic believers such as Steve and Jana DeNune of Israeli News live and Zev Porat and others who understand and warn and minister Yeshua to the people.

Nevertheless the apostate church will help them build their apostate temple and they will join with them in worshipping the antichrist and they will join the global kingdom in enforcing the Mark of the Beast. It is prophesied as such.

There is one last cryptic clue found in our first text in Amos 9:11. It says that in that day they will possess the remnant of Edom. Today the descendants of Edom (Esau) are the people of Rome and specifically the Vatican. Today the Vatican possesses much of Israel and in fact the Vatican is very much involved in the formation of this one world Religion that will become the global religion of the antichrist. Today, these things are being stealthily put into place; and the prophetically ignorant church lauds and applauds and joins in with the formation of the global religion of the Beast. But when the true Messiah comes, all of that will be turned around.

To me, this current global effort in which the churches are participating, represents in part the great falling away that Paul talks about in 2 Thess. 2:3, 4 that clears the way for the antichrist to rise. So this forms a part of the strong delusion that God will send because the people had not the love of the truth.

So, this is a big part of the strong delusion that will deceive if possible even the very elect of God, but there is another part to this. It is ‘The Lie” that Scripture talks about. I believe it involves the return of the Nephilim in these last days, providing overwhelming proof that we were not created by God but by an ancient alien race and it will indeed be overwhelming. They will provide what appears to be irrefutable evidence for indeed we see ancient Nephilim stone structures, pyramids, temples and burial sites all over the world. Many of which we could not build today even with our technology and huge machinery. And their bones, many of them from people 9 to 12 feet tall and much taller are hidden in the Smithsonian Institute awaiting the grand delusion that will shake out everyone that does not have a firm grip on God’s Word, or who is not sealed by His Holy Spirit.

There are many things in this world that Christians tend to sweep under the carpet because they don’t fit our traditions. But those things we have swept under the carpet will come out to haunt us in the last days because we have not dealt with them.

The church’s lack of interest in Bible Prophecy is going to prove to be the undoing of many Christians. They have not fortified themselves with the information that God Himself lovingly gave us so that we would not believe the lie.

“For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way, and then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, will all power and signs and false wonders ad with all eh deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. And for this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they might believe what is false (the lie) in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.” 2 Thess. 2:7-12

Today many churches are raising a generation of biblically and prophetically illiterate people who are already well on their way towards the apostasy of these last days. Already may “Christians” are favoring the broad ways of the Beast, even joining hands with the Vatican to bring about the global religion of the Beast.

Please my friends fortify yourselves with the Word of God and the Spirit of God so that you will not be swept away by the great delusions that are coming upon the world. It has always remained the same since Jesus uttered the words. “God is spirit and they that worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24
