HE WILL CONFIRM A COVENANT

                “Then after sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined, and he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week,, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering and on the wing of abomination will come one who makes desolate even until a complete destruction,, one that is decreed is poured out on the one who makes desolate.” Daniel 9:26, 27

                One of Daniel’s most marvelous prophecies is a prophecy dealing with 70 weeks of years, or 490 years. The time period is divided up into three sections. The first 7 weeks or 49 years was taken up with the rebuilding and restoring of the 2^nd temple in Jerusalem. Then the next 62 weeks, or 434 years led us right up to Jesus the Messiah. Some say the time period culminated at Jesus’ Baptism and some say at the Triumphal entry and some at His death.

                The important thing is that Daniel’s 62 weeks led us right to the time of Christ and it says that after 62 weeks He was cut off having nothing.

                What we need to understand here is that the 70 weeks included a mandate to Daniel and his people to do 6 things: To finish transgression, to make an end of sin,, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.

                Clearly these mandates could not be accomplished by Daniel and His people without their Messiah. But clearly it called for the death of the Messiah to make atonement for iniquity. And if we were to go through each one of these mandates we will see that they demand the resurrection and High Priesthood of the Messiah and not just His death.  While Jesus atoned for our sins; transgression has not yet been finished and it will not be finished until the second coming of Christ when evil is cast into the lake of fire and the saints are glorified.

                Likewise everlasting righteousness, though legally established at the cross, will not be realized until all enemies have been put under Jesus’ feet at the very end of time.

                As for anointing the Most Holy Place, Jesus did that when He went back to heaven at His resurrection. He sprinkled His blood on the Mercy seat and then took up His role as our faithful High Priest of the New Covenant after the Order of Melchizedek.

                WE will see if we read it very carefully that the Messiah was cut off after 62 weeks, but not during the 70^th week. In fact what we have here is a gap in time and we see another prince who is to come who will confirm a covenant with the many for one week. That week is the 70^th week and this prince is not the Messiah. He is the antichrist and his confirming of the covenant for one week will include the rebuilding of the 3^rd temple and this 70^th week will prove to be the final 7 years of earth’s history.

                During this final 70^th week, all of the mandates listed in verse 24 will be fulfilled and then Jesus will come to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords for 1000 years and everlasting righteousness will indeed be established

                But for those of us who understand Bible prophecy, the excitement of the Jews as they prepare for the building of their 3^rd temple is a bitter sweet thing for us. We know that this 3^rd temple is going to be made possible by covenants signed by the globalist leaders and it will be overrun by a globalist agenda and in the middle of their week, the antichrist himself will enter into the Most Holy Place and put an end to sacrifices and He will declare that He is God.

                When he does that, the Jews that know their Bibles will realize their mistake and they will flee to the mountains and the armies of the antichrist will follow them in hot pursuit.

                Jesus Himself placed these events in the end of time just before His return and He warns about this coming ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION that will take place and it must take place, (See Mt, 24:15) for at that time the temporary blindness that has been imposed upon the Jews by God Himself. (See Romans 11:25) will be removed and they will see clearly that they have been duped and in their distress they will cry out for the real Messiah. AT that point Jesus will return to deliver them and they will look upon Him whom they have pierced and mourn for Him. See Zechariah 12:10 and shortly after that Jesus will return and His Holy Ones with Him, (That’s us) and He will set foot on the Mt. of Olives and He will take up His earthly millennial reign in Jerusalem. See Zechariah 14:1-21, Rev. 19 8-21.

                Okay, so we as Christians understand how this is going to play out and we want to win as many Jews to Yeshua as we can to spare them the grief that lies ahead for them, for many of them still blinded will have to go through this period known as the Time of Jacob’s Trouble and many will die.

                I watched an interview taking place in front of the dedication of the altar. It was between a knowledgeable young Christian man and a distinguished looking Jew who was very excited about the soon coming of the Messiah and the rebuilding of the 3^rd temple.

                HE said: Messiah is coming soon and he will build the temple and he will be a Jew and he won’t be Jesus and he will gather all of the nations and all of the religions together into one and the temple will become a house of prayer for everybody and the whole world will be blessed, Jew and Gentile alike.

                The young Christian man asked the Jew how they were going to bring all religions together and the Jew answered emphatically: “OH, they are already united. All of the religions are united. Even the Muslims are asking us to build this temple as a place of worship for all nations. It is only a small group of radical Muslims that don’t want it.

                As I listened to him speak, I remembered in 2015 when a couple of major things happened, for which most of the Christian world remained largely unaware.

1.       At the final one of the 4 blood moons, Pope Francis stood before Congress and before the United Nations and again before the Freedom Tower with representatives of all religions and he announced the formation of a global religion… the uniting of all religions together as equals to bring peace to the world. So over the past 3 or 4 years I have tried to stir up interest in this event. AS far as I am concerned the Pope was as much as declaring himself to be the false prophet who causes the whole world to wonder after the beast. He is forming the global religion of the antichrist and he announced it on the very day of the final blood moon!

2.       Steven BenNun of Israeli News Live also exposed something that happened in Jerusalem at that same time. It was called a Mekodeshet and it was a coming together of all religions to make atonement for past atrocities and to declare solidarity in the forming of this global religion of peace for all nations. This was the COEXIST crowd aligning with the Pope and with Jerusalem for the coming reign of what we know to be the antichrist.

                Friends, the four blood moons of 2014-15 were highly significant, for in them we have the announcement of a turn in history to the final fulfilling of all bible prophecy. With these 4 blood moons we entered into the official time of the end, not the general time of the end, but a very specific time of the end in which the final 70^th week will soon commence.

                In the months and years ahead, we will all have to roll up our sleeves and watch and pray and to be ready to adjust our understanding of last day events. All of us will have to adjust in one way or another simply because every one of ten thousand scenarios cannot all be right. And that is alright, because Jesus said that some of it we wouldn’t fully understand until it takes place.

                When is the church going to wake up? When are people going to realize that we are poised on the edge of eternity? When are people going to realize that Bible prophecy is relevant to our times? Believe me, the bible is more relevant than the daily news, for they have an agenda that favors the antichrist and they are basically trying to downplay events in the world that point to the end.

                So the old Jewish man, unknowingly quoted Christian Bible prophecy almost verbatim as he said exuberantly that the Messiah was coming and he would be a Jew but not Jesus and he will unite all of the religions and all of the nations together for peace. Does any of this sound familiar?

                Steven and Jana Ben Nun of Israeli News Live have literally risked their lives to warn us of the New World Order made up of the False Prophet, Pope Francis, along with the Jesuit forces and the Free Masons and the Zionists bankers and the globalist military industrial complex and all the rest that are forming this global government that will reign over the kings of the earth during the final 7 years.

                It won’t be long until we find out if there is a pre-trib rapture, or if it is mid- trib, or post-trib. Paul says that it will not take place until there is a falling away first that the man of sin may be revealed, so we will most likely be here to see the temple being rebuilt and the rise of the antichrist to global power and this is just personal,  but I believe that we will be here to face the Mark of the Beast and to choose whom we will serve as a final test of our fidelity to Jesus Christ.

                But I also believe that we will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air before the wrath of God is poured out, because we are assured in many places in scripture that we are not destined for wrath, but for salvation through Jesus Christ. And to buttress this we see that the saints return with Jesus in Revelation 19. So, somewhere between now and then we will spend time in heaven enjoying the marriage supper of the Lamb and then we will return with Jesus to reign with Him for 1000 years.

                For those who see this differently, please understand that I am not putting this forth as an argument, or a doctrine. It is just eth way I see it now and it gives us a starting point so that we can understand what is going on in Jerusalem right now as they prepare for the building of the third temple and their coming (antichrist) Messiah.

                However these things actually unfold, we need to be close to and reflecting the image of Christ in our lives. This is not a time for playing church, or living with one foot in the world and the other in the kingdom. It is definitely not a time to be lukewarm. It is indeed a time to be baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire for that is what Jesus Christ came to do.
