BUSY DAYS

BUSY DAYS

I wrote a short while back about geo-synchronicity. Geo- Synchronicity is an ostentatious sounding word that simply means being in the right place at the right time. I would think that this is closely related to Kairos time. Kairos time in a matter of being at God’s appointed place at God’s appointed time… the divinely opportune moment, as opposed to Chronos time… secular, pagan time.

On this subject of geo-synchronicity I have had a lot of hits and misses in my life and now that I am living, so to speak, on borrowed time (Anything over 70) I have become interested in two things:

1.       Living by divine appointment

2.       Being where God wants me, when He wants me there.

Living like this may sometimes remove us from the norms of conventionality… perhaps like the Indonesian pilot who heard God’s voice and took off just 3 minutes before the earthquake and tsunami that just happened. As it was, his airliner was rocking back and forth on the runway as he took off and moments later the runway was broken up and everyone in the traffic control tower was dead. Hearing God’s voice saved his life and the lives of 140 passengers.

It would have done Elijah no good to have shown up on Mt. Carmel the day after, or for Jesus’ disciples to have left the upper room after 9 days instead of waiting until the tenth day. So timing is important.

Bonnie and I didn’t understand why God had us move to Tennessee. Oh, well, it is easy to understand from the point of view of being near our children and grandchildren, but then countless numbers of grandparents move to be near their children and grandchildren without divine appointment at all. So why did God move us out of our comfort zone when everything seemed so right?

At Rehoboth, Bonnie and I were there by divine appointment and we knew it. It was there that we began learning about this Kairos way of living and God blessed us abundantly. It was there that the Lord taught us how to be living functioning members of the Body of Christ… not just showing up to church needing our spiritual batteries charged, but coming to church fully charged so that we could bless others and encourage others.

Like the song says: “We bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord.” But unless we are having a dynamic relationship of worship during the week, we have nothing of spiritual value to bring into the house of the Lord, except maybe our deep need for a spiritual rescue and spiritual CPR. So while it is perfectly appropriate to come to church expecting to be fed and watered… it is even better to come to church to feed and water others.

It was in Washington where Bonnie and I began to take communion together every morning. As we did so, the Lord taught us more about the covenant we walk in. This is a covenant that promises that if we walk with the Lord, He will direct our paths and as His sheep we will hear His voice.

So when the Lord told both Bonnie and me separately that we were to move to Tennessee, it didn’t make sense at all. We were plugged in and doing what God had appointed us to do and we were happy.

The move was a monumental task, filled with doubts and fears and questioning, but now that we are here, we can see how quickly the Lord has bumped us up into purposes long prayed for and almost forgotten. Here the Lord has opened up doors for music that had long lain dormant… and yet I can now see that the music was written, not for back then, but for now… and now the Lord has linked me with our worship team not only to warship at church, but to produce the music that God gave me.

So these are busy days for us and I am constantly learning new music for playing bass and singing with the worship team, writing my daily blog, preparing for teaching the weekly class on the feasts of the Lord and putting together the worship CD the Lord gave me for now, (This Kairos moment) which will be called “Into the Holy of Holies.”

I have no idea where God is going to take this music. All I know is that He has opened up the ways and means to do it. Several weeks ago, with no knowledge of this opportunity, the Lord told me to get the music out and organize it and write out words and chords and to finalize the songs. I did so in response to His promptings and the minute I had it ready, the Lord opened the door and now Abishai and I are busy in his recording studio making the recordings that will bring them into the digital age.

Now don’t read my “Rest of the Story” articles thinking that the life of faith is a cakewalk. It requires a persistent searching of the heart of God and a consistent walk of faith even when you can’t see the road ahead. It is so very important to learn this now, because the days ahead are going to require much more faith than we are accustomed to walking in right now. We desperately need to prepare mentally, physically and spiritually for what is coming.

Bonnie and I have been able to relate to Abraham and Sarah in this walk. They went out not knowing where they were going or why and in fact, Abraham, along with all of the other faith giants listed in Hebrews 11, never did receive what was promised, because the race could not be finished without us upon whom the ends of the age have come. We operate under a better covenant than they did. Theirs could only point forward to the Lamb of God, whereas we now live in the powers of that covenant signed in the blood of Yeshua.

“By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out now knowing where he was going. By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow-heirs of the same promise; for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God. By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised…” Hebrews 11:8-11.

Abraham and Sarah had absolutely no idea, apart from God’s promises, that they would become the father and mother of a nation that would fill the whole world, or that even Gentiles would be grafted in through Yeshua to be called Abraham’s seed by faith. And out there in the hills, living in a tent, they could not have conceived, even in their wildest dreams that we, in the year 2018, would be talking about them and reading about their journey of faith in the greatest Book ever written.

But here’s the point that I want to make today. Each one of us, by walking the walk of faith; whether we understand it or not; is creating an eternal legacy. It is perhaps our walk of faith that will be studied through all of eternity, as those who grasped the promises and became faithful to the unseen realm in order to surpass the limits of time and space and to end up reigning with Jesus Christ on His throne.

For certain, it will be the grace of God that is studied and how it is that He can take ordinary people like you and me and make us into Abrahams and Sarahs, who finally make it to the city who’s Builder and Maker is God.

Don’t lose sight of the big picture. Look beyond your immediate problems and think in terms of overcoming, by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of your testimony. Without vision the people perish. If we forget the big picture our trials seem pointless. But we live in a covenant that guarantees that all things will work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28.

“For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren; and whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.” Romans 8:29-30.

The very fact that you belong to the Lord means that you are one of those who has been called, for no one can come to the Father unless He draws him. So you have been predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son.

How can we even read this text without being blown away? We are being conformed into His image to such an extent that Jesus is willing to call us His brethren, among whom He is the first-born. This is staggering my friends. And yet this is the power of grace… the power of this covenant to deliver what is promised.

This is why hyper grace is so horrible. It removes the transforming power of grace from us so that we can live carnal lives. This is not God’s plan at all. We have been called to walk in His Spirit and His Word… to overcome as He overcame and thus be prepared to reign with Him as being victorious through the death and resurrection of Christ.

Hyper grace is a last day doctrine of demons designed to divert us from God’s plans and to steer us toward faith in the antichrist system that will be offered in its place.

Faith is the victory that overcomes the world.1 John 5:4. So, let us get on God’s program, learning to live in Kairos time, by divine appointment… learning how to walk in geo-synchronicity with God and His Word. The rewards will be astronomical!
