YOU SHALL RECEIVE POWER

                It takes something infinitely more powerful than the Law to make us like Jesus. Only Jesus can make us like Jesus and that He has done by sending His Holy Spirit into our hearts and lives.

                “For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14

                “But if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies, through His Spirit who indwells you.” Romans 8:14

                “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” Romans 8:16

                “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born of many brethren; and whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?” Romans 8:29-31

                “The Law will be fulfilled in us who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” Romans 8:4

                In case you can’t tell, I love Romans chapter 8. In this one chapter all of Paul’s seeming contradictions or paradoxes are reconciled and solved. Balance is restored and power is promised.

                It was Jesus Himself who promised the power when He said: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Acts 1:8

                So put a smile on your face. He’s got you covered.
