THE OPPORTUNE TIME (PART 3)

                “And I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun will be darkened and the moon into blood before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes and it will come about that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be delivered; (saved) for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape as the Lord has said, even among the survivors whom the Lord calls.” Joel 2:30-32

AND I WILL DISPLAY WONDERS IN THE SKY

1.       In Genesis 1: 14 it says: “Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night and let them be for signs and for seasons (Moedim) and for days and for years.”

2.       The Hebrew word Moedim means appointed times of the Lord and it is plural for Moed. So He gave us these signs and appointed times, but we have to have a guide or a template with which to decipher the signs and appointed times, otherwise the goings on in the heavens would have no relevant meaning.            

3.       God supplied such a guide or template for us so we would know when the signs had meaning or if they were just coincidental. So God gave us 7 yearly feasts or Moedim as a template so that when signs appear in the heavens on one of those feast days, we can know that it is significant. Not only that; but the Moed on which the sign appears, can give us a clue as to what God is saying to us through that particular sign.

4.       Generally speaking it is understood by the Rabbis that moon events portend something for Israel, while solar events portend something for the Gentile nations.

5.       By way of explanation let us suppose that a Sports announcer on TV rattles off all of the scores for the day, but doesn’t tell you which scores go with which teams. The numbers would be irrelevant right? Likewise, there are many blood moons and solar eclipses, but it is when they fall on God’s appointed times that we take notice of them.

AND ON THE EARTH BLOOD, FIRE AND COLUMNS OF SMOKE

                So we can assume that even as signs are going on in the heavens, such as events in the sun and moon, there will be corresponding events taking place on the earth

1.       There was a tetrad (4 in a row) of blood moons around 1492 when the Jews were kicked out of Spain and a Jew named Christopher Columbus set out to find a new homeland for his people.

2.       There was a tetrad of blood of blood moons around 1948 when Israel was reborn as a nation.

3.       There was a tetrad of blood moons around 1967 when in the 6 day war was fought. Israel was grossly outnumbered as all of the surrounding nations came at them, but God miraculously intervened. So in this war Israel gained possession of Jerusalem, the city of the great king.

4.       There was a tetrad of blood moons in 2014, 15. The last of the 4 blood moons was a super blood moon and it hung over Jerusalem. Only a handful of people seem to know what this particular tetrad signaled, but I will share with you what I believe.

A.      I believe that these most recent blood moons have heralded our entrance or should I say our transition point into a specific time frame in which all end time events will be fulfilled. These will include the harvest, the tribulation, the great falling away, the seven year covenant between Israel and the antichrist. The building of the third temple. The appearance of the Two Witnesses. The revealing of the antichrist. The abomination of desolation in the temple. The Mark of the Beast. The rapture. The wrath of God and the second coming of Christ. All of these things will happen roughly within this time period called the end of time. So I have listed a few of the events to take place in this end time period, not necessarily in the order I have given them and in fact some of these things will be going on at the same time.

B.      There are many  other things that will happen such as the complete upheaval of nature, world wars, the battle of Gog and Magog and the battle of Armageddon (whether they happen to be separate events, or the same event)

C.      It will all come to an end, when Jesus returns destroying the armies that are arrayed against Israel with the brightness of His coming. Then He will set foot on the Mt. of Olives and then take up His millennial reign over the earth from Jerusalem and His saints will be with Him…. that is those overcomers who are destined to rule and reign with Him. (Not everyone who goes to heaven will come back to earth to rule and reign with Christ, but only those who have overcome. Rev. 2:26.) The rest will come with the Holy City as it descends to earth at the beginning of the 8^th day at the time of the new creation. 

D.      Let me make mention here that there is not a lot said about that period of time. All we know for sure is that at the end of the millennium, the final judgment of the wicked will take place and the Christ will create a new heavens and a new earth. Read Rev. 20:12-15 and Rev. 21… the entire chapter.

BEFORE THE GREAT AND AWESOME DAY OF THE LORD COMES

1.       It is important for us to notice that the blood moons mentioned here in Joel are not the blood moons mentioned in the book of Revelation. These are said to happen before the great and awesome day of the Lord.

2.       I truly believe that the tetrad of blood moons along with a number of significant solar eclipses and the sign of Revelation 12 in the sky and the return of the star of Bethlehem after 2000 years should not be ignored. They have come in very close proximity. For instance; a tetrad of blood moons will not happen again for over 100 years. The star of Bethlehem will not come around for another 2000 years, the sign of Revelation 12 will never occur again.

SO WHAT SIGNIFICANT THING HAPPENED ON THE LAST BLOOD MOON IN 2015 THAT ALMOST NO ONE NOTICED?

1.        Pope Francis stood up in front of America, before congress and before the United Nations and then in front of the Freedom tower at Ground Zero. He stood there along with leaders of all of the world’s religions and announced the formation of a global religion.

2.       If you understand bible prophecy and you realize that the global agenda of the antichrist calls for control of three things, ( money, politics and religion) and if you understand the role of the False Prophet is that of gathering all of the religions together to worship the Beast, then you will recognize that this is a very big event and that Pope Francis was basically introducing himself, or a successor as the False Prophet of Revelation 13:11-18, Rev. 19:20, Also known as the Woman that rides the Beast in Rev. 17, for religion will ride the global antichrist government until he gets tired of her and destroys her. Rev. 17:16.

3.       Since Pope Francis announced this global religion, it has been steadily growing in power. It is this system of the Beast the False Prophet and the image to the beast that will enforce the Mark of the Beast with a mark in the forehead or the hand.

4.       Interestingly enough, Pope Francis has recently endorsed the use of the micro- chip implant calling it a good thing…” a gift from God,” which it may be… that is, if you happen to worship Lucifer as he does.

5.       People, even Christians, are scoffing at these things even as the whole world is reeling under the weight of catastrophes both nature and political… even as the seas are dying and floods and fires, volcanoes and earthquakes are ravaging our planet… even as the sun begins to act erratically wreaking havoc, not only on earth, but on other planets in our solar system.

SO WHERE ARE WE RIGHT NOW ON GOD’S PROPHETIC CLOCK?

1.       We are passing through the birth pangs of Mt. 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 as listed by Jesus

A.      Both Christians and Jews are increasingly being hated by all nations. Mt. 24:9

B.      We are seeing the beginnings of the great falling away (apostasy) that will make way for the antichrist. Mt. 24:10, 2 Thess. 2:3, 4.

C.      We are witnessing a plethora of false prophets and true prophets for that matter and we must use the Word and the Spirit of discernment to sort them out. Mt. 24:11

D.      We are seeing Israel being rapidly set up to build the third temple in which the antichrist will commit the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION spoken of by Daniel the prophet (Dan. 9:27, 11:31 and 12:11) and reiterated by Jesus in Mt. 24:15. Mark 13:14, Luke 21:20.

E.       These birth pangs (also called the beginning of sorrows) will keep increasing in intensity until we will suddenly find ourselves in the full-blown tribulation. The signs are so obvious to some of us, but many others are asleep and the day will take them completely by surprise, like a thief in the night.

F.       But we don’t have to be taken by surprise by these things for Paul says in 1 Thess. 5:4 “ But you brethren are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief for you are all sons of the light and sons of the day.

G.     We have the Feast days to keep us informed and we have the sure word of prophecy to which we do well to pay attention. (2Peter 1:19)

AND IT WILL COME ABOUT THAT WHOEVER CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED (DELIVERED)

1.       This has a duel application as both a physical deliverance for Israel when they have to flee to the mountains, but it also has a spiritual application in the harvest for those who receive Jesus as Savior and Lord. In those days millions will be coming to the Lord amidst blood and fire and columns of smoke.

SO, WHY DID PETER QUOTE JOEL ON THE DAY OF PENTECOST WHEN VIRTUALLY NOTHING THERE MATCHED THE FIRST DAY OF PENTECOST?

1.       Pentecost was a harvest (Of 3000 souls) and the beginning of a 2000 year harvest of souls that has continued ever since. It was attended by an outpouring of the Holy Spirit by which the church was conceived in order to bring many sons to glory. Just so, in these last days we will have another even greater harvest along with an even greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

2.       This final Pentecost will be announced by wonders in the sky and on earth with blood moons and solar eclipses and celestial events and the harvest will take place amidst blood and fire and columns of smoke. This is the final harvest at the end of the age and I believe that the blood moons and eclipses that we saw in 2014, 15 and subsequently, are announcing that we have entered this special time in history. This time around all of eh signs given in Joel will apply.

3.       Israel is now 70 years old and Jesus said that the generation that saw Israel blossom and put forth leaves would be the generation that saw all of these things take place.

4.       We are embarking on the 7^th or Sabbath millennium from creation and the third day since the resurrection and any way you look at it, we have to be close to the end. It is time to get ready!

5.       “Come, let us return to the Lord, for He has torn us, but He will heal us; He has wounded us, but He will bandage us. He will revive us AFTER TWO DAYS; and He will raise us up on the THIRD DAY that we may live before Him. His going forth is as certain as the dawn; and He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain watering the earth.”  Hosea 6:2, 3

6.       Israel has been torn and wounded since AD 70, but in the second day, (The second millennium) He restored them as a nation to their own land. And on the third day, (Any time after the year 2001) HE will raise them up when the rain of His Spirit begins to fall.  And even as we have entered the third day, so also we are entering the seventh day, the Sabbath millennium. The Sabbath was pronounced holy by god and so it is that holiness is required of us as we approach the coming of the Lord. Selah.

                P.S. There is so much being said in these lessons. I would recommend that you print them out and use them for your own further study. I have only scratched the surface of these things.  Study these things for yourselves to make sure that I am right. If Paul told people to do this then all the more should I invite you to study and to verify as well as to gain further insight.
