THE 6000 YEAR WAR PART 3 THE GOOD NEWS

                “Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam prophesied about these men also saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” Jude 14, 15

                As we see the great buildup of evil in the world today and as we watch men repeating the rebellion of Nimrod in seeking global control of the nations; we stand in desperate need of good news.

                The truth is the judgment of the ungodly and the promised return of Christ, traces all the way back to Enoch, who walked and talked with God. Not only that but the stories of Adam were fresh in the patriarch’s minds and Adam had been the first one to have warned of a coming flood.

                We need to remember that the average age before the flood was about 850 years, including Enoch’s 365 years. So while godless scholars today may tell you that the stories of the Garden of Eden and the flood are simply myths, these early patriarch’s lives overlapped so that the stories were passed on from Adam to Enoch to Noah and Noah lived 350 years after the flood. In fact the book of Jasher tells us that Abram made a visit to his relatives Noah and Shem and stayed with them for a time.

                Furthermore we are told in the book of Jasher that the priest Melchizedek was none other than Shem, who blessed Abraham and held communion with him after Abraham’s defeat of the Sodomite kings. Shem lived well into the time of Isaac and so these early patriarchs had information which was passed down from before the flood to Moses and confirmed to Moses by God as to our beginnings as a human race.

                It was to Adam and Eve that the promise of a coming Seed was given that would crush  the serpent and his seed in the end, so the promises we cling to in faith today go all the way back to the gates of Eden where Adam walked and talked with God on a daily basis.

                We have doctrines that are as old as creation itself. They were built into the types and shadows and the stories of the chosen nation that God raised up for that very purpose. Israel was called out from the nations to be separate and holy and to become the carriers of the oracles of God. Through them we have the history of God’s dealings with men. Through them we have the Law of God and the Word of God and then through them a little Jewish girl by the name of Mary, conceived by the Holy Spirit and brought to us the Son of God.

                So as believers in Yeshua, our roots run deep and because they run deep, we understand this 6000 year war between the seed of the serpent and the seed of the Messiah. We understand how Yeshua defeated Satan by allowing him to put Him to death. He, the sinless Lamb of God died for our sins and then by the power of God within Him He rose from the dead having purchased back all that which Adam had lost to Satan.

                Now, everyone who by faith receives this sacrifice of the Son of God in their place and enters by faith into His death and resurrection, has eternal life. “He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.”

                “When Christ who is our life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.” Col. 3:4

                “For the one who sows to his own flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life.” Gal 6:6

                “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom. 6:23

                “Truly, truly I say to you, he who hears My word and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5: 24

                “And this is eternal life that they may know Thee, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent.” John 17:3

                As we near the end of this 6000 year war, the road is going to get bumpy. Everything is coming to a climax in our day. We see it in politics, we see it in Bible prophecy, we see it in nature, we see it in signs in the sun, moon and stars and we see it in every facet of our lives. We sense it in our innermost being as the tensions grow into a crescendo of controversy. The haters of God plot against the righteous, they riot in the streets, they fight for their sins and for their abominations as if God has somehow changed His mind about these things.

                The whole world is being deceived. Even a large percentage of what we might call the church has fallen away from sound doctrine giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons. 1Tim 4:1. They side with the globalist plans, they rally with the Pope to form the global religion of the Beast, they gather in false unity crying peace and safety through compromise with the Word of God. They denounce the faith once delivered to the saints. They license their own sins with their manmade grace.

                Satan is seeking control of the world and that means we no longer fit into His plans, other than his plans to wipe us out. Light overpowers darkness and so evil men plot ways to snuff out the light… to create foolproof ways of doing commerce that will force everyone to comply or die. But we have something in us that cannot be extinguished. We have the life of Christ in us. We have eternal life. We have the Son, therefore we have the life.

                Satan may try to press in on us from every side: “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the surpassing greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves…” 2Cor. 4:7

                “By this you know the Spirit of God; every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; and this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming and now it is already in the world. You are from God, little children and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.” 1 John4:2-4

                And all who dwell on the earth will worship (the antichrist) every one whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.” Rev. 13:8

                “And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony and they did not love their life even to death.” Rev. 12:11

                The good news is that if we have received Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, our names are written in the Lamb’s book of life. We have eternal life because eternal life Himself dwells in us. He will never leave us or forsake us. We have been given the Holy Spirit and it is that very Spirit that will either raise us to life on the last day, or it will quicken us and glorify our bodies in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye at the last trump.

                “Behold I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised imperishable and we shall be changed.” 1 Cor. 15:51, 52

                “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.” Heb. 6:19, 20.

                “And so we have the prophetic word made more sure to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. “ 2Pet. 1:19

                So when darkness covers the earth and gross darkness the people, the Lord will arise over you and His glory will be seen upon you. So “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.” Isaiah 60:1

                Is your name written in the Lamb’s book of life? There is nothing you can do to earn a place there. There is no work that you can perform that would buy you a spot in the book. Only in receiving Jesus Christ as the perfect Lamb of God who died for your sins and covers you with His righteousness will you ever secure you a place in eternity.

                Don’t try to figure it out. Don’t look to yourself… your past… your track record. Instead turn your eyes upon Jesus who is the Author and finisher of your faith. Believe in Him and trust Him with your life. Become His disciple and follow after Him. Allow His Word to wash you clean. Invite Him in to cleanse your temple and to take up residence in you.

                Receive of His Holy Spirit and live by the Spirit instead of the flesh and  you will from the Spirit receive eternal life.

                “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal body through His Spirit who indwells you.” Romans 8:11. It is His work from beginning to end. All you have to do is to trust Him and to walk in His footsteps… that is to walk in the Word and to obey its precepts.

                We are in training to become sons and daughters of God. “And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit , even we ourselves groan within ourselves waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons (and daughters), the redemption of our body. Rom. 8:23

                “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren: And whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? Rom. 8:29-31

                Every day we shore up our faith with these promises and we live by them and we walk in them so that it can be said of us: “Yea thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me. “ Psalms 23:4

                Receive Jesus fully into your life today. The 6000 year war is nearly over. Ahead of us lies the bright promise of His coming. And just as we  have an accurate record of the 6000 year war between Christ and His followers and Satan and his followers, so also we have a 6000 year legacy of accurate prophecies and promises so that nobody need doubt the certainty of God’s Word. Our Messiah is coming and He will come at the appointed time.
