FOURTH OF JULY 2018
FOURTH OF JULY 2018
Happy 4th
of July everyone! Today we celebrate American freedom even as we pray that we
will be able to say the same thing next year. Great forces of evil are moving
in to destroy this country and to snuff out the light of God that has made this
nation great. The only thing that can stop this invasion in my opinion would be
an over the board revival of prayer, obedience and Holy Spirit power to send
these evil forces fleeing.
We have
two opposing scenarios working right now. Mark Taylor is prophesying that
Donald Trump will win a second term by a bigger landslide than the first one and
that he will lead this country into the greatest prosperity and freedom and revival
that America has ever seen and that our nation will become the central hub for
taking the Gospel and final harvest to the world.
On the other
hand we have Alex Jones, announcing that the liberals are in the process of flooding
America with 800,000 foreign nationals chanting “Take America back” and they
are going to foment civil war along with singling out Christians and Trump
supporters for isolation and outright extermination. He is calling it the “Red
Dawn” event that will bring America down and he claims that Obama is the kingpin
of this movement along with Hillary Clinton, the United Nations and the whole
globalist cabal.
Which
one of these guys is right? Both views are extreme and so I am suspect of both.
But it all depends upon where we are in time exactly. We know, for instance,
that Jesus said that in the last days just before His coming that there will be
a time of trouble such as the world has not seen since there was a nation. One
only has to glance through the book of Revelation to see that catastrophic
events will take place such as this world has never seen. Our woes will be
spiritual, political and financial… along with natural disasters of epic
proportions, including our entire solar system turning on its head in massive
upheaval and earthy-shaking events.
I am
not a prophet, but it is my theory that both scenarios may be right to a
certain extent, that the great harvest is going to come in amidst the darkest
of times. First we see a terrible time of trouble such as the world has never
seen, but then we also see God’s people rising and shining for the glory of the
Lord has risen upon them. Isa 60:1, 2. Then we see Jesus Christ arriving with
His saints as conquering King. (Zech. 14:1-5, Jude 14, 15, Rev. 1:7) He will
destroy the globalist forces tossing the Beast and the False Prophet into the lake
of fire while binding Satan for 1000 years. (Rev. 20:4, Rev. 19:20, 21)Then Christ
will set foot on the Mt. of Olives (Zech. 14:3, 4) and enter Jerusalem to take
up His millennial reign in what the Bible calls “The restoration of all things.”
(Acts 3:19-21, Psalms 48:1, 2
Peter
spoke of this while preaching in the Portico of Solomon one day saying: “Repent
therefore and return, that your sins may be wiped away in order that times of
refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord; and that He may send Jesus, the
Christ appointed for you whom heaven must receive UNTIL THE PERIOD OF
RESTORATION OF ALL THINGS about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy
prophets from ancient time.” Acts 3:19-21
We
often miss things said in the Bible simply because they don’t fit with our
doctrines, but Revelation 5: 10 says is speaking of the redeemed from every
nation and tribe of the earth: “And Thou has made them to be a kingdom and
priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth.”
So yes,
there is a global millennial kingdom coming over which Jesus Christ and His
saints will reign, but before that time we will also see the rise of an
imposter who will think to rule the world in the place of Christ. It will be a
time of trouble such as we have never seen, but Jesus Christ and His warrior
Bride will win in the end.
Again,
immediately after the disciples had witnessed the transfiguration of Jesus,
they asked Jesus, “Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?” And
Jesus answered and said: “Elijah is coming and will restore all things.” Mt.
17:10, 11. He thin explained that the spirit of Elijah had been upon John the Baptist
and they killed him, but Jesus also alluded to a yet future coming of Elijah as
well.
The prophet
Malachi, in the last prophetic word to Israel said: “Behold I am going to send
you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the Great and terrible day of the Lord
and He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts
of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the land with a curse.”
Mal. 4:5, 6
This great
and terrible day of the Lord is none other than the final time of Jacob’s
Trouble and the wrath of God and if Elijah is to come just before that event,
then we should be looking for him now. And indeed the Orthodox Jews are looking
for Him. Jews and Christians and Muslims alike believe that we are entering
into the final phases of the end of the age. Each group has a different point
of view, but all agree that we have come to the end time.
We can’t
help but see that the world is building up to something. Prophetic signs and
events are forming rapidly and quickly reaching the point of no return. But it
is interesting how God derailed the globalist time line with one man… and just how
long that man will be able to stand is largely up to the church… not to get
political, but to have a spiritual revival and a renewing of our understanding
and an opening of our eyes and a revitalization of our prayer life and our
skills in spiritual warfare. Yes, God rose
up a man, a Cyrus to initiate a radical change of direction and cleaning the swamp
remains a daunting task, but only the Holy Spirit and massive prayer can bring
on lasting change.
So even
as we celebrate this Fourth of July with family and friends in relative peace,
let us remember that only a change in us will bring about a change in the
downward direction of America. Yes we have seen positive changes in many areas,
but a massive foe is about to invade our land with revenge in mind and so,
rather than taking this day for granted, we must learn how to pray and how to
become united as one Body in Christ. God’s Remnant Bride.
