THE MYSTERY OF ENTANGLEMENT

THE MYSTERY OF ENTANGLEMENT

Shabbat Shalom. This morning I would like to say one more thing about quantum Physics and then I will jump off of the subject.

Quantum entanglement is one of the most mysterious properties of the Quantum realm, which of course is the realm of the unfathomably small, the sub atomic particles with which everything in this universe is made. But when you get into this spooky quantum realm all of the laws of physics we have come to understand on the macro level are tossed out on their ear.

Quantum entanglement is a case in point. It happens whenever a photon passes through matter. When it passes through it is absorbed by an electron and when it exits that electron it is now two photons, each with half the luminescence of the original one. But somehow, these two photons after entanglement have become “married” for life. They remain in contact with each other and in fact each one knows exactly what the other one is doing instantaneously no matter how near or how far apart they are.

Another thing about these entangled partners is that they are opposites. If one has a left spin, the other has a right spin. If one is up, the other is down. Opposites attract so to speak and they are married for life. It is like the very fabric of the universe is telling us that marriage is forever and that marriage must be between opposites, as in one male and one female.

But the amazing thing about these entangled pairs is that no matter how far apart they are, they exchange information instantaneously. Even if they are on opposite sides of the galaxy or even on opposite sides of the universe, their connection is instantaneous. This has been proved over and over again in scientific experiments in which this information between photons travels as fast as 10,000 times the speed of light.

Einstein saw these things mathematically but he didn’t like it. What he saw in the quantum realm broke all of his own rules. The speed of light is one of those hard and fast constants upon which physics is built including his work on general and special relativity.

So if you add these properties together, say the mystery of quantum entanglement and the other mystery of non-location, which means that everything in the universe is connected regardless of our space/time;  we have proof that everything that the Bible says about God and about our universe is true.

1.       There is another reality outside of our own

2.       That reality is not limited by our space/time parameters

3.       Information in that realm is exchanged instantaneously at all points in our universe

4.       In other words God dwells outside of time… He knows all things. He can hear our prayers and know our thoughts instantaneously. Heaven is a reality outside of our space time. Angels can fly from heaven to earth instantaneously. God is infinitely aware of all things at all times.

5.       Omnipresence is not only possible; it is the way the fabric of our universe is made. God dwells outside our space/time, but He is intimately connected every atom of our physical universe as well.

No wonder David said that the heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament showeth forth His handiwork. The very fabric of reality shouts that God is there, or should I say that God is here. Not only that but His moral and spiritual laws are consistent with creation and whenever you break or change one of God’s laws it is a perversion and it is destructive to the one who breaks it and to others as well.

We sometimes make things too religious. For instance, to be righteous is to be right… to be working within the framework of the laws of creation rather than against them. Creation itself is telling us that marriage is a fundamental part of the fabric of reality and that it must be between opposites. It doesn’t make much difference whether you are a human being or an apple tree; reproduction takes place as result of the cross pollination of opposites. Opposites are designed to fit each other.

In spite of the great fundamental truths of the bible that are substantiated by the realm of quantum Physics, the science world has, for the most part, sidestepped the Bible and the God of the Bible and given credit to anyone or anything else, whether it be Buddha or some other philosophy. To admit that these things point to the God of the Bible would be to admit that the God who created everything that exists is holy and moral and righteous and omniscient and omnipresent and omnipotent and that He was the very One who sent His Son into the world, to heal the rift between us and to restore mankind to its dominion over the works of His hands.

If everything that exists was created by the God who said “Let there be light” Who gave us His Law and His truth in the Old Testament in types and shadows and who then came into the world to fulfill all of those types and shadows… Who sent His own Son into the world to die for our sins and to reconcile us to the Father…who sent His Holy Spirit into our hearts so that we can follow in His footsteps and thus be redeemed by His precious blood; then we own Him our very lives, our respect and honor and worship.

We should pay attention to the details of our salvation. Truth is the way the universe works and even though the laws of the Old Testament seem to be different than the laws of the New Testament, they do not cancel each other out, but work together in perfect harmony. In other words, the quantum realm is the foundation upon which the physical realm is built and one cannot work without the other.

If we want to regain the dominion through unity that God created us for then we need to learn how to work with God’s Laws rather than against them. Creation is not simple. It is complex. We are not redeemed carelessly. Salvation is more than a few quips on a few bumper stickers.  In Christ we are being joined back to God and as such we can literally be destroyed if we touch the ark in a careless manor, or offer up strange fire,  partake of His covenant in an unworthy manor, or even if we come to Him on our own basis rather than His. That is why God instructs us to:

“Be diligent to present ourselves approved to God as a workman who do not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth. 2 Tim. 2:15.

God gave us His Word so that we could come to understand His will and His ways. The Bible works at both the macro level and the quantum levels. On one hand it contains mental information, but on a quantum level:

“The word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. Hebrews 4:12

But in all of this we need to remember that: “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

God has a plan for our restoration. He has invested in that plan with His own life and by the shedding of His own blood… By this He wants us to know just how deeply He desires to be at one with us again. He hates this separation even more than we do. He hates the veils that must come between us until He is able to dress us in clean linen and to rid us of the sin that destroys our relationship. He hated this separation so much that He gave His own life in order to rip the veil in two… to provide access once again to Him.

“This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.” Heb. 6:19, 20.

If opposites attract then God is Spirit and we are flesh. God wants us to be married to Him forever, for we were designed to function with Him on board. God and man were meant to be one and He will not stop pursuing us until we have become one with Him for eternity. In man the spiritual and the physical universes are joined, for He has created us to have dominion over the works of His hands.

This desire of God is so great that He entered into our physical realm, being both God and man. Thus he restored the oneness within Himself and now He offers it to us by His Holy Spirit and by His Word, so that we can not only be informed, but be transformed into His image from glory to glory. Selah.
