ON EAGLE'S WINGS PART 2

ON THE WINGS OF EAGLES (Part 2) the rest of the story.

At the very same time as I was praying and talking to the Lord out in the shop, Bonnie had gotten up and was praying in our living room. This is a stressful time for us and so we are talking to the Lord a lot these days.

At the same time as the Lord was teaching me about the wings of Eagles, He reminded Bonnie of that same text and it being one of her favorite texts, she was drawing comfort from His words. Standing in front of our living room window she saw just then something we have never seen from our property before. At the very moment the text was going through her mind a very large Bald Eagle glided down low over the yard and then winged its way out of sight.

We see bald eagles over at the coast but never here and yet the Lord sent one to fly past our window at the very moment that He was reminding her of Isaiah 40:31. It calmed her fears and reminded her that the Lord is really in charge.

From the beginning of this adventure the Lord has verified every word and every answer to us individually as well as together. It is amazing how He keeps strengthening our faith and bringing unity where many couples would begin to pull apart.

You have to realize that at this age in our lives, this is a bit overwhelming, physically, mentally and spiritually… and yet time after time the Lord keeps confirming His word to both of us. We could ignore it all… but the truth is, we have been seeking the Lord and longing to hear His voice for some time. So when He speaks, are we going to tell Him to say something else?

And so the saga continues and we are sharing this journey because we have committed ourselves to doing that, for better or for worse about 6 years ago. Besides, if we are honest about all of this, we may say something that will help someone else. If nothing else, you can know that you are not alone in your struggles with faith.

We are all on this road of faith together and the more we can help each other the better… and if we leave out the questions and the doubts and try to pretend that we are faith heroes with no questions, what good will that do anybody?

Bonnie and I are breaking ground in what is new territory for us. Many have gone this way before us.  So we are in good company and the Lord will not let us down. Pray for us as we pray for you.
