WHY ALL THE VOLCANOES?

                With dozens of destructive volcanoes erupting all over the world, we have to ask ourselves what is heating up our planet. And we are not talking about the environment and our SUVs here. We are talking about earth’s core. It is heating up and expanding, causing great pressure along the various continental tectonic plates and fault lines.

                We have seen a major uptick in earthquakes in the 4 to 6 range as the plates slide against each other. Some move sideways against each other creating heat in one way while others, push under each other along the subduction zones creating heat in another way. It is usually the subduction zones that create mountains such as here on the West Coast where the Cascade mountains have formed on this edge of the ring of fire that surrounds the Pacific basin.

                Everywhere there is talk of the coming “Big ones” to hit the West Coast and the New Madrid Fault lines. Both prophets and scientists are predicting such events in our near future   and they advise us to set aside a little food and water for such eventualities. This is only logical and certainly biblical to prepare for the coming storms.

                BP Earthwatch says that this heat is caused by the extra high solar winds and CMEs that come from solar flares and coronal holes on the surface of the sun. Mike from around the world attributes this heating and earthquake activity to the five waves of energy that have come and are coming from outer space. In fact, when he told us about these waves of energy several years ago, he predicted that there would be an uptick in earthquakes and volcanoes and that is just what we are seeing.

                Still others believe that our planet is being affected electromagnetically by the approach of planet X into our solar system and that it will yet cause a cataclysmic event when it flies by. They say that it will not hit us, but that some of the debris being dragged along with it may cause a deep impact event.

                We do know from the book of Revelation that there will be a couple of deep impact events. Rev. 8:8 says: And the second angel sounded and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea and a third of the sea became blood. And in verse 10, 11 it says:  “And the third angel sounded and a great star fell from heaven burning like a torch and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of waters; and the name of the star is called Wormwood and a third of the waters became wormwood and many died from the waters because they were made bitter.”

                Many people scoff at the blood moons of 2014, 15, but the truth is, this world has changed dramatically since those signs in the heavens. It’s like they formed a gateway into the final end times. In these three years we have moved into the eye popping events of the book of Revelation as cataclysmic events of every kind now manifest on a daily basis. And now to top it off, we have witnessed the largest mass shooting in American history in Las Vegas. They say it was a lone wolf, but I seriously doubt it. I don’t think one shooter can kill 50 people and injure 400 shooting from one window in the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

                Everywhere you turn, all events are reaching a boiling point and war looms on the horizon as well. We need to seriously learn how to be and stay in the secret place of the Most High because God’s promises of protection are only given to them that dwell there. This is a place of supernatural protection              that will cover God’s people as He removes His hand of protection from a rebellious nation and world.

                At some point the sleeping church is going to have to wake up and understand that we are indeed in the prophetic time of the end and that this is not going to blow over and get better. It is going to continue to increase in severity and frequency like the birth pangs of a pregnant woman and once the water has broken and the head has engaged in the birth canal, there is no stopping the birth. Perhaps this is what Revelation 12 is telling us. We have entered the birthing time of the sons of God. And right on que, the dragon has been released to try to consume the man child and to persecute those who will not surrender to His global kingdom.

                As such it surely seems to show the catching up of the man child even as the woman who gave birth to him is pursued into the tribulation. Be that as it may, we have to await God’s timing of these events and maybe the Revelation 12 sign in the heavens is simply announcing that we have entered the time frame in which all of the things will happen. As such they do not have to have happened on the exact day. After all, warning signs are usually posted before the event, not right on the day of the event.

                Jesus said that when we see all of these things happening to lift up our heads, for our redemption is drawing nigh. That’s good enough for me, and I suspect that He wants us to take part in the final harvest of souls. But I really do believe that this harvest will not take place apart from a great shaking of not only the earth, but the heavens. Time has taught us that people do not come to God during times of ease. God is going to shake mightily the heavens and the earth so that everything that can be shaken will be shaken so that what remains will be eternal. Heb. 12:26-29.
