THE DIGITAL SIMULATION

                “For momentary light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:17, 18.

                If you have never seen the movie “The Matrix” you really should see it. There are so many spiritual truths in it and even though the movie is not particularly evil, it reveals many truths about the plight of humanity and how the kingdom of darkness uses us.

                 According to the text above, the things that we see are not the real world, but are temporary… a digital simulation if you will, created by God to form a training ground for a new species made in His image. In this simulation the issues of sin and righteousness must be worked out.

                And when this 7000 year period of testing and choosing is over, then the digital simulation will vanish and the real heavens and earth will come into being and it will be eternal… and it will be populated by those who have chosen the eternal God and Savior, the Creator of it all. Those who have renounced the digital simulation and have chosen to live by God’s eternal principles will be saved to populate eternity.

                When Adam and Eve sinned, they lost their eternal nature… that part of them which belonged to the eternal kingdom was lost, and they became a part of the matrix, temporary, subject to entropy and death.

                And we think of Satan now as this all powerful being that is ruling the world. What we don’t understand is that he gets his strength from us… and the more evil we become, the more strength he gets from us. It is we who empower the kingdom of darkness, not him.

                Isa. 14: 16-20 says of Lucifer, “ Those who see you will gaze at you, they will ponder over you saying, ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms, who made the world like a wilderness and overthrew cities, who did not allow his prisoners to go home? All the kings of the earth lie in glory, each in his own tomb, but you have been cast out of your tomb like a rejected branch, clothed with the slain who are pierced with the sword like a trampled corpse. You will not be united with them in burial because you have ruined your country; you have slain your people. May the offspring of evildoers not be mentioned forever.”

                When the digital simulation has come to an end we will see the weakness of the one who pretended to be all powerful, who in actuality gained his strength from our sins.

                So Jesus set aside His glory and He came into our digital simulation to introduce to us the Gospel of the Kingdom. He came to show us the real kingdom… the eternal invisible kingdom that is infinitely more real than our digital simulation.

                When we are born again into this eternal kingdom we begin to live by its eternal powers and purposes. By faith we catch glimpses of this eternal reality. We begin the learning process of how to live by its eternal principles.

                People who live in the powers of the of Christ’s Kingdom, tend to shatter the darkness, to expose Satan, to expose his weaknesses.  They drain his power and weaken his kingdom, they lay bare his matrix of lies. No wonder he rushes in to extinguish the light, to corrupt and twist and malign those who dare to see beyond the matrix. His kingdom depends upon our ignorance, our complacency and our failure to live by the eternal principles and powers of the age to come.

                This is why Jesus commanded us to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom. Mt. 24:14 saying, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in eth whole world for a witness to all the nations and then the end shall come.” In other words, when the Gospel of the kingdom has been preached to the entire matrix, then the end of the matrix will come and Christ’s eternal kingdom will come to earth and He will reign forever and we with Him.

                 Instead we have preached a Gospel of salvation and we have made being born again an end in itself.  No, it is not an end, it is a birth into Christ’s eternal kingdom in which we begin to learn to separate from the Matrix and to live in the realities of that eternal kingdom.

                Unfortunately most Christians “get saved” and then they go on living matrix lives holding closely to the digital simulation, never venturing into the eternal realities of Christ’s kingdom. They may be saved, but they are doing very little damage if any to Satan’s kingdom.

                Much of today’s preaching teaches us how to be successful and to live peaceably within the matrix and it doesn’t operate in the eternal powers of the age to come at all. Our traditions have made us comfortable here where we await the rapture. And it is for this reason that I tend to think that the doctrine of a pre-trib rapture has greatly weakened the church. We no longer see ourselves as being in a war. We no longer see that we need to apply the blood of the Lamb and the testimony of Jesus along with complete obedience to the moral and spiritual principles of His kingdom to shatter Satan’s matrix lies.

                Does this not give more meaning to 2 Cor. 10:3-5? “For though we walk in the (matrix) we do not war according to the (matrix), for the weapons of our warfare are not of the matrix, but divinely powerful for the destruction of matrix fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.”

                This view of life in the matrix also lends understanding to Paul’s announcement in 2 Thess. 2: 1-4. Some false teachers came to the Thessalonian church teaching that the rapture had already taken place. They had been left behind and they were now in the time of Jacob’s trouble. To this Paul answered saying:  “Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction (perdition) who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

                What Paul is telling us here in very plain language is that the Day of the Lord and our gathering together to Him will not take place until there is a great falling away from the faith leading to the appearance of the antichrist. (So much for the doctrine of imminence) We have mentioned two things within this article that must be fulfilled before the rapture. The Gospel of the Kingdom must be preached to the whole world, (A Gospel largely ignored today) and a great falling away must take place so that the man of sin might be revealed.

                Now if you remember the beginning of this article where we discussed the fact that Satan gets His power from our sin and rebellion, then 2 Thess. 2:1-4 begins to make sense. The church’s apostasy and falling away, will empower Satan to bring forth his antichrist… this is something he cannot do as long as the church is draining his dark powers. So, the church’s falling away from the faith will actually empower Satan to rule the world. (Fortunately for only one prophetic hour.)

                And now we begin to understand how that Satan has led the church into ignoring Bible prophecy (In which the matrix is revealed) in becoming politically correct, no longer preaching the power of the cross, or repentance from sin, or the blood of Jesus. Instead they are falling back to matrix principles like positive thinking, self- help, global unity, pagan Christianity, environmental concerns and all other matrix causes. (And even though we should take care of our planet, we do so not out of worship for Gaia, but because this is our Father’s world.)

                So our Lord has but one ace left up His sleeve so to speak… a Gideon’s army… a Remnant people who will live according to the principles of the eternal kingdom and who will have the testimony of Jesus, which is the Spirit of prophecy… and armed with these eternal principles we will defeat the entire Matrix, expose the lies of the devil, shatter his kingdom of darkness and reveal him for the weak man he is. He is severed from God after all, and he has been using us as his power source. It is through us that he has built the kingdoms of this world. It is through groups like the illuminati that he has plotted to form his global government. His matrix kingdom has been built on lies and it will crumble when exposed to the Gospel of the Kingdom.

                “For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility (of a digital simulation) not of its own will but because of Him who subjected it in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this but also we ourselves , (being in the matrix, but) having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. (From matrix bodies to eternal bodies.) Romans 8:19-23.

                And all these( the saints of all past ages) having gained approval through their faith did not receive what was promised, because God had provided something better for us, so that apart from us they should not be made perfect.” Hebrews 11:39, 40.

                Isn’t it about time for us to move beyond matrix thinking and by God’s grace, to enter into the Gospel of the Kingdom so that we can go home?

                This, I believe, was the real message of the Revelation 12 sign that so recently appeared in the heavens. By it Our Lord has announced to us that we have entered into that specific period of time. Jesus was born and caught up into heaven. He is the head and we are the body. The woman represents the people of faith over the past 2000 years. It is made up of the Jews and the church that has been grafted into the Jewish commonwealth by faith in Yeshua. But just now, the devil has been cast out of heaven forever. His wings have been clipped and he has come into the world knowing that he has a very short time. (Rev. 12:12)

                Satan’s pursuit of the woman has been largely successful, up to this point, because both Jews and the church have largely become a part of the Matrix. We have been conformed to the world rather than being transformed by the renewing of our minds. (Rom. 12:12)

                But Yeshua is also forming a Remnant people. They will obey Him and bear His testimony.  “And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives even to death.” Rev. 12:11, 12.

                Listen friends, we can’t go on preaching sermons that teach us how to be successful and to live peaceably in the Matrix. We live in a kingdom that the lost cannot see and Satan trembles at the thought that God’s remnant people will begin to live in and demonstrate its power.

                I think we are soon to enter that 3 ½ year period mentioned in Rev. 14:14. This is what the blood moons and the solar eclipses and the Bethlehem star and the Great wonder in the heavens, the Revelation 12 signs were all about. God is shouting out for His Remnant to gear up and get ready. He is not going to allow us to be complacent any more. The situations that are about to break upon this world will make complacency impossible. We are entering the time of the great shaking. Heb. 12:26-29.

                I am literally shaking as I write these words. I believe that God is pulling back the curtain and opening our understanding to the issues we now face and He is calling to His remnant people saying; “The time is at hand.”
