REMNANT OF HER SEED

                If we aspire to be the Remnant of her seed as she is identified in Revelation 12:17 then we must of necessity greatly expand our understanding of what and who this remnant is. It is the remnant of her seed and as it tells us in Gal. 3:16 that seed is Christ. So to be that remnant we must be like Christ and we must carry His spiritual DNA.

                “”Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say to seeds, as referring to many, but to Your Seed… that is Christ. Gal. 3:16

                So to be the remnant of her seed, we must also have this Seed of promise which is Christ.

                This is an intimate connection that should make us blush, because Paul is indeed talking about an intimate connection here that produces children.

                In John 17:3 Jesus said: “Now this is eternal life; that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.”

                The word used here for “Know” is ginosko and is the same word used in Genesis 4:1 where it says, “Adam knew Eve and she bore a son.”

                Being a Seed carrying, DNA bearing part of the living Body of Christ is something much more than simply being a church member. We can become members of the Rotary by agreeing with its bylaws and some churches are that way. If you agree with their doctrines you can become a member.

                But being a part of the Body of Christ means that you have died to the world through His cross, you now carry His DNA, and you are filled with His Spirit. You are functioning organ in His body wherein His blood flows through your veins and His grace empowers you and wherein the Law is being fulfilled in you as you walk not in the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

                This is a radical departure from what the world calls being a Christian. We have literally become a new species. We belong to a new Kingdom. We have a new Father and we belong to a new family in which Jesus is our elder Brother.

                We need to press in to God… to enter into intimate communion with Him… to regularly partake of His covenant wine and bread. To learn to hear His voice (My Sheep hear My voice) and to walk in the kingdom of light in the midst of this kingdom of darkness.

                We need to reverse the pattern of our lives. We always think in terms of body, soul and spirit… now we need to think in terms of spirit, soul and body. Through our New Birth, our spirit has once again begun to rule and reign over our soul and our body. We must become aware of our spirit, to hear it and obey it. We no longer owe subservience to our flesh and we need not listen to the clamoring of our soul. We must now live by the spirit and that spirit has been quickened, made alive by the Holy Spirit.

                The vast majority of Christians remain in the outer court of the sanctuary… justified by the blood of the Lamb and that is good. But that is only the beginning of our journey. In justification our spirit is saved, made alive by the Spirit of God, but now, beyond the veil we must train our souls to live by that spirit rather than by the flesh. We must learn to walk in the Word as made alive by the Holy Spirit and we must learn to talk with God and to hear His voice as we spend time with Him before the veil.

                But now we are being called to enter within the second veil and into the presence of God. The Most Holy Place corresponds to the womb where life is conceived and so when we came to Christ in the outer court, HIS Spirit was conceived in our spirit (the Most Holy Place) and it is that Spirit/spirit that calls us on into intimacy with Jesus through His Holy Spirit.

                This is what Paul is talking about in Romans 8:19 “For the anxious longing of the creation awaits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. The Remnant people of God will carry the spiritual DNA of God and they will be the sons of God for whom all of creation is waiting. And Paul refers to this again in Hebrews 11:40.

                After giving us a brief listing of the men and women of faith throughout all time, he then says: “And all these, having gained approval through their faith did not receive what was promised, because God had provided something better for us, so that apart from us they should not be made perfect.” Then in Chapter 12:1 he tells us that this cloud of witnesses is cheering us on in the race to the finish line. They each carried the baton in their time, but we have been designated by God to carry the baton home to the finish line.

                So, when we see the Revelation 12 sign that just appeared on September 23 it is giving us a final message. The dragon has been cast out of heaven and he is enraged with the woman and he is about to make war with the remnant of her seed… that is us, the Remnant children of God who are designated to carry the baton home. And we will overcome him (The Dragon) by the blood of the Lamb and by the Word of our testimony and we will love not our lives even unto death if need be.

                So let me tell you what I think this Rev. 12 sign means. This is just my opinion you understand.

                I now believe that the Revelation 12 sign covers a span of 2000 years. Jesus is the male child who was caught up to heaven, the son who will rule the nations with a rod of iron. The woman who gives birth to the man child is Israel and her fleeing into the wilderness represents the diaspora as Israel was sent into all of the nations.

                The Dragon of course is Satan who has pursued Israel and the Jews through all of their wanderings, persecuting and trying to exterminate them. The Remnant of her seed are we Christians, who have been grafted into the Jewish tree, for by faith we are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to promise. We carry the DNA of Christ. We keep His Commandments, for they are fulfilled in us who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit and we have the testimony of Jesus, which is the Holy Spirit who is also the Spirit of prophecy.

                If we remain outer court Christians in the days ahead we will not survive. We must press in to that place of intimacy with God so that His Seed, Christ may be formed in us… “Until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:13

                No more church games people. It’s time to get real. We can do this. It’s not by might nor by power but by My Spirit says the Lord. And what He has started in us he will finish. It is no longer I who lives, but Christ lives in me: and the life that I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who love me and delivered Himself up for me. I do not nullify the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through Law, then Christ died needlessly. Gal. 2:20, 21. We need the very DNA of Christ… and we receive it by faith.
