JOURNAL 6 QUESTIONS ABOUT MY DAD

RICK:                     Good morning Lord. I have a question for you this morning. Sir Isaac Newton said that You would raise up people at the end times who would turn their attention to the prophecies and insist upon their literal interpretation in the midst of much clamor and opposition. I know that his prophecy began to be fulfilled in 1948 when Israel literally came back into their own land as the Bible promised. At that time the allegorical method was dropped by many simply because You were fulfilling Your promises literally.

                To this day Your promises are still being fulfilled literally including signs in the sun, moon and stars. IN every area of life I see things coming to a climax just as You describe it in the Bible. This is true not only in the world but in my own life. Honestly Lord, as I look back on my own life it seems that you have been training me through the good times and the bad, and preserving me for such a time as this.

                My question is this: Am I one of those men that Isaac Newton talked about? Do I have a part to play in the general understanding of last day events? Wil You continue to give me understanding,  so that I can help those that do not have the wealth of background that I had? Will I make a difference?

YESHUA:              Yes Rick, you have a specific destiny to fulfill in these end times. You must not compare yourself with others. I have given each man and each woman his or her own assignment. If you will remain humble before Me… if you will hear My voice and walk in My council, I will put you in a place of prominence. You will add to understanding as it pertains to the flow of human history, (past, present and future.)

RICK:                     You have given me a legacy of understanding through the life and passion of my Father Lord. How often I have wished that I could talk to him now about the unfolding of these events. Are You willing to impart knowledge and wisdom to me concerning the specifics of our time Lord? Will You show me where we have it wrong and where we have it right?   

YESHUA:              As you have rightly perceived Rick, the subject of prophecy must always be accompanied by a state of readiness. What good is it to know these things if you are not spiritually  prepared for them?

                The church has for so long been enamored with the rapture to the exclusion of good character. Most do not understand that while the salvation of the spirit is instantaneous and free, the salvation of the soul is very difficult.

                Man’s spirit is from God; so when a man receives salvation, My Spirit joins with his spirit and eternal life is instantly given. But man’s soul is of the flesh. The saving of the soul then entails all that My Word has to say about dying to the flesh, walking by faith, applying My blood, repenting daily, growing in grace, putting away sin, and learning to live by My Spirit and by My Word rather than by the flesh. This requires dedication and tough life choices. It requires faith and persistence… perseverance.

RICK:                     I see Romans 8 here Lord. So are you saying that the birth pangs of last day prophecy are best understood within the context of our own personal birth pangs as we, your people come into the fullness of the stature of Christ?

YESHUA:              That’s it Rick! The Body must be of the same DNA, the same species as the Head. We cannot attach a sheep’s head to a wolf’s body. I am the Lamb of God which takes away the sins of the world. I therefore cannot have a body that is clinging to sin and bearing the DNA of the evil one. So what we see happening on a global scale is the same battle that is going on in the individual. It is a war between the Spirit and the flesh… between the Holy Spirit and evil spirits. And just as Israel always finds itself in the middle between fighting factions, so every Christian finds himself in the middle of a battle between good and evil… between flesh and spirit… light and darkness… truth and error.        

RICK:                     I know this is the understanding that You have been guiding me to. We must understand this battle on both a personal scale and a global scale. The global scale is huge, but in reality each of us is being driven to a choice as to which side we will stand.  Each individual is o infinite value in Your sight. The world scene is just a stage upon which Your sheep are responding to Your voice and they are coming out, to be included in the one fold and with one Shepherd.

                I have another question to ask You that has been on my mind for over 25 years Lord. Why was it necessary for my Father to die? Back at the time, You showed me through three successive visions that He was to die and not to live as the people were prophesying. Will You now explain this to me?       

YESHUA:              Your father laid a wonderful groundwork of understanding. It has helped not only you, but many others. However he became focused upon leading people out of Adventism and that was not My purpose.

RICK:                     So is that why you sent an angel to tell me that heaven didn’t require me to continue his ministry? I floundered for many years after that. I could not understand Your reasoning at the time. The angel’s message was so brief, leaving me with more questions than answers. I lost faith for a time. So what was Your purpose in all of this? What is Your purpose now?

YESHUA:              My purpose is to speak to the sheep who hear My voice. I don’t pay much attention to the denominational divisions that men place between themselves. I work with individuals. No matter how big the crowd may be, I always work with the individuals in that crowd. I am calling My sheep and those who know My voice will awaken and come out to find their destiny in Me.

RICK:                     But some denominations are spiritually dead Lord. They don’t even believe in Your Holy Spirit and if they do He only serves as a mascot, a name to baptize people by. They deal instead with human logic. Even Your Word they treat with human logic. They see it as mere information rather than spirit and life. How will You awaken them?

YESHUA:              My sheep hear My voice. They are hungry for Me… for truth… and they are willing to knock down a few fences to get to green pastures.

RICK:                     Yeshua, you are so amazing. Your insights set us free from small thinking and petty arguments. Your plans and purposes embrace a global scale and yet they are intimately personal.  You are the Lover of our souls. Your big projects never get in the way of Your love for us as individuals. I want to come to understand that love on a more personal basis. I have tended to see the big picture to the exclusion  of Your personal love for us… for me. Thank you Yeshua for opening my eyes today.
