JOURNAL # 1      MOVING FROM RATIONAL TO SPIRITUAL CHRISTIANITY OCT. 1, 2017

RICK       Father, how do I move from rational Christianity to spiritual Christianity? How do we move our home base from the logos word to a rhema word? From mere information to You as a Person? Is this what Jesus was talking about when HE said in John 5:39 when He said: “You search the scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is these that bear witness of ME; and you are unwilling to come to Me, that you may have life?”

Is this what Jesus meant in calling Peter out of the boat: did this not teach us that we must put our full weight upon You? Is this not true faith?

JESUS    Come to Me on the water. My grace will sustain you, the Bible will testify of Me. It will tell you that you can walk on the water; but in order to do so you must let go of the boat of rational thinking and place your full faith in the spiritual realm. No amount of rational thinking will ever allow you to walk on the water.

                Right now you are tied to the Word as it exists in the rational realm. You want to experience what the Word is talking about, but your faith has not yet allowed you to take that” irrational” step into the realm of My Sprit. Until you can do that you cannot walk in the realm of the supernatural.

RICK       Lord Jesus, Please forgive me for this lack of faith that you are now revealing to me. I thought I had complete faith in You but You have shown me that I still live in the rational realm. YOU are telling me that I, like Peter must step into the realm of the Spirit.

                I know instinctively Lord that this step does not in any way, but rather provides the Word to be true. All true believers are called to take this step from rational to spiritual. Is this not the realm in which divine appointments are kept?                

JESUS    Yes Rick, This is the arena in which we do only what we see the Father doing and saying only what we hear the Father saying.”

RICK       This brings me to a question that I have had for many years Lord. How can we do Your work in the world if we don’t have Your power?

JESUS    The last day’s harvest will come as a fulfillment of My promise found in John 14:12-14 “The works I do and even greater works shall you do because I go to the Father.

RICK       Lord Jesus, I want this power no matter the cost. Please teach me and prepare me to operate in this realm. At this point I feel so weak when I pray for people. I feel that there is no power backing My words.       Lord, I am asking for the power to live out Your divine appointments. I long to step over into the realm of the Spirit and to prove Your Word true.
