GLOBAL EXTINCTION
GLOBAL EXTINCTION
According
to a report from the Big Wobble, there have been 2 million deaths of cattle in
Ethiopia due to the draught there and it is projected that two thirds of all
wild animals in the world will be extinct by 2020. That’s just 3 years from
now. What is going on?
The rate
of mass animal, fish and bird deaths continues to mount each and every month
with thousands of tons dying off for reasons unknown.
Friends,
when I send out my daily articles, believe it or not, I am not trying to push
or to prove my doctrinal point of view per se. I don’t have an agenda to prove
myself right.
My
intention is to get us to think, to question, to look to God like never before…
to repent and turn from sin and to prepare for our Lord’s soon return, and or the
Time of Jacob’s Trouble, whichever comes first. We are rapidly reaching a
period of time when all of our petty interpretations of scripture will give way
to reality and I suspect that we will all have something to learn in the process.
Of paramount
importance is our relationship with Jesus Christ and His Word through the Holy
Spirit. This we must get right. The Holy Spirit can only work in our lives to
the extent that our flesh is dead. As long as the “Old Man” remains alive, we
will be at war on the inside. As long as the Old man lives we will be divided
with one foot in the world and one foot in the church and nothing really in the
Kingdom.
It is
time to get real with our prayers. Day after day I pray in the Spirit and I ask
the Holy Spirit to open my spirit up so that I might worship God in purity of
motive. I ask the Holy Spirit to flavor my prayers with His incense so that my
prayers will go up to God as a sweet smelling savor. Our hearts are desperately
wicked. We are unable to judge ourselves. Pride is always at the door. Unless we
can subdue and kill these things and plunge them beneath the blood of Yeshua we
can never be trusted with God’s power. We would abuse it and use it for our own
purposes. Our flesh can’t do this… only the Holy Spirit working in us can do
this.
I no
longer offer God my own agenda. I want to be on His. For most of my life I have
offered my projects to God and asked Him to bless them. It didn’t work. Now I
want to do everything by divine appointment. Jesus didn’t have any projects. He
only did what He saw the Father doing and said what He heard the Father saying.
Somehow we need to get on that kind of a footing with God.
Romans
8:29 says: “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to
the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born of many brethren.”
Whoever that group is, I want to be a part of it and I tell the Lord so. I ask Him to get me there no matter the cost.
This is not my project but His “For all who are being led by the Spirit of God,
these are the sons of God.” Rom 8:29.
Yeshua
died to make this possible. I am not trying to earn my way to heaven with my
works. I am depending upon His work in me. Romans 8:10, 11 says: And if Christ is in you, though the body is
dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if
the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised
Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through
His Spirit WHO DWELLS IN YOU.”
In other
words, this Spirit that dwells in you right now is the same spirit that will
raise you from the dead at our Lord’s return. Does that not give us plenty of
motivation to live by the Spirit rather than by the flesh which leads to death?
Romans 8:6. “For if you are living
according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to
death the deeds of the body, you will live.” Romans 8:13
This
false grace going around that says we can do our own thing and it is okay
because God is love, and that we will be changed in the rapture is not the doctrine
of the Bible. Yes, we will be changed and glorified at the resurrection, but
our life on this earth is made up of not being conformed to the world but being
transformed by the renewing of our minds, that you may prove what the will of
God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2 Romans
12 is like a sort of overcoming chapter for overcomers.
It is the
Spirit that bears His fruit in us. We were never meant to do any of this
without God on board. Part of what Jesus did, He did FOR us, and the other part
is what He does IN us and THROUGH us. There is both imputed righteousness and
imparted righteousness. Imputed righteousness is justification by the blood of
Yeshua. Imparted righteousness is accomplished through the infilling of the Holy
Spirit and our learning to live by the Spirit and not by the flesh. The part that
He does through us is by the Baptism of the Holy Spirit by which He gives us
power to witness and to minister to others. We need it all.
Do not
sell yourself short of the full Gospel of Jesus Christ, for it is the power of
God unto salvation to them that believe.
This call
going out at this time is critical. All around us we see extinction level
events in plants and animals and in nature so that very soon we will be
surrounded by famine and war and pestilence. Our petty needs to prove our own
point of view will become meaningless as we cry out to God for the real thing.
All of our theories must surrender to reality. Theoretical knowledge falls by the
wayside when one is in a foxhole. The meaning of life suddenly becomes clear
and we realize that we have invested so much of our lives in things that really
don’t count. Everything is centered in Yeshua. Turn your eyes upon Him and the things
of this earth will grow strangely dim.
