AM I A REMNANT PERSON?

AM I A REMNANT PERSON?

This isn’t really about me. Rather this is a question that I am posing for each of you who read my posts to ponder. For those of you who do read my posts on a regular basis, I am going to share a secret with you. I hold in my heart a conviction that we are about to enter the tribulation and if not the tribulation, at the very least a specific and unprecedented time in earth’s history. But in my heart I feel that there are just too many numbers, too many signs and too many prophecies on the line to ignore what the Lord seems to be shouting out to those who will listen.

So in light of the times we are in we have to ask ourselves if we are remnant people. So let me make it clear that in my way of thinking there are no remnant organizations… only remnant people. And even though there are some organizations that are much more conducive to Remnant thought and growth than others, the remnant, nevertheless, is still scattered throughout the world in a wide variety of Christian organizations.

We really have to bring it down to a personal level. Even in my own chosen Messianic congregation, a congregation whose teachings are very conducive to remnant belief, there is only a Remnant within the “Remnant.” After all, there are some who just want to bury themselves in the Jewish tradition of it and they don’t want anyone to rock their boat, or to bother them about signs of the times.

No matter where you go there are Christians who are eager to understand what is going on in the world and how it relates to Bible prophecy, and there are those who give you a blank stare and say, “I don’t need to know all of that stuff. I just want to trust in Jesus” and then they go on their merry way as if there is no Holy Spirit actually dwelling in them, or even a call out of the world system. They put their faith in the daily mainstream news and beyond that they remain blind to a host of signs and warnings.

Let me say that the Bible gives a very specific description of a remnant person. It is found in the book of Revelation (A book that so many ignore) and it identifies the Remnant of her seed which keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.”

It is repeated again in Rev. 14:12 saying: “Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.”

This remnant identity of the Remnant is given within the context of those who take the Mark of the Beast verses those that refuse to take the Mark.

In Revelation 13:5-8 we see  that the Beast is given 3 1/2 years to establish his kingdom and to make war with the saints and to overcome them so that all who dwell on the earth will wonder after this Beast except for those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

So, we are entering into a very specific time in which two kingdoms are presented. Satan’s kingdom is formed and he seeks by force to include everyone on earth, But Yeshua’s kingdom is also being formed and people are coming into it by invitation rather than by force.

So I think it is very important to use the Bible’s definition of a Remnant person so that we can avoid that which the Beast system demands verses what the kingdom of Yeshua is that we are being invited into.

They are the Remnant of her seed. So, first of all what is “Her Seed?” We find its beginning in Genesis 3:15 where it says:

“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman and between thy seed and her seed; and it shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

So let’s break it down. God I s speaking here and He says that He (I) will put enmity between the seed of the woman and the seed of Satan.

So in the Bible and in its great outline of the seed of the woman, we see the seed line of faith traced down through history. We see the seed going through the flood of Noah and being carried on in the line of faith carried through the line of Shem. Abraham was called out of pagan Ur of eh Chaldees and the seed was passed to him through Shem, who was at that time also known as Melchizedek.

So Abraham became the father of the faithful and the seed of the woman was carried all the way down to Mary. The seed line of faith up until Yeshua is made up of the children of Adam. They are a part of the human family under Adam and even though they are God’s faithful people, they nevertheless need a new Father. Adam’s seed was a fallen seed and it could only produce fallen children. So God offered them a religion full of object lessons, and signs and symbols pointing forward to a Messiah, a Lamb of God, who would provide the seed of Adam a way to die to the race of Adam and to be born again into the seed of Yeshua and to receive the Father as their true and literal Father through Yeshua and His blood and His Spirit.

So in the Spring Feasts of the Lord we see Passover, unleavened bread, First fruits of a new race and then on Pentecost Jesus sent that Seed down to us. By receiving the Holy Spirit we become God/s remnant children even as Mary received the Holy Spirit and then gave birth to the New Adam.

The Bible then teaches us that by faith in Yeshua, we become Abraham’s seed and heirs according to promise. Gal. 3:29 But this is where Galatians 3 becomes so important. There it tells us that by faith in Jesus we become Abraham’s seed. Why Abraham?  It is because Abraham was of the seed line of faith. Abraham received that seed from Melchizedek and passed it on through his seed, Israel and Israel carried that seed line all the way down to Mary, after which God the Father joined His seed to the seed of Mary and Mary gave that seed to Jesus, who now has a heavenly Father and an earthly mother.

In this way Jesus reconciled us to His Father and made us children of God and a part of the great seed line of faith. It is through Yeshua that we are entered into that seed line and this is where Romans 11 becomes vitally important. IN tracing this seed down, the Bible makes it very clear that those who receive the Holy Spirit and are born again do not replace the seed line of faith, but rather we are grafted into the seed line and that makes us Abraham’s seed and heirs according to promise.. WE don’t replace the seed line of faith, but we are grafted in to it and that shows us just how wrong the 4th century church was when it divorced itself from the Jews, and then married into the seed line of Satan, (pagan religion) and the seed was mixed and the seed line was lost and the word was lost and God’s appointed Calendar, and Sabbaths and Feast days were all lost to the church.

So this is why the Bible points to a Remnant of her seed in the last days that will once again keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. We are not a separate entity from Israel; rather we have been made into one family through the blood and the Holy Spirit of Yeshua.

That’s why I keep telling you that Bible prophecy is so much more than a chart telling us what to expect next. It literally provides us with a road map from Genesis to Revelation that helps identify the seed line of faith that will stand faithful when the seed of Satan rises up against her.

So now can you see why I became a Messianic believer? It is because in following this great track of the seed line of faith, I have come to a point where I have to categorically deny replacement theology as being a doctrine of Satan and I must come out of that doctrine if I am to be of the seed line of Christ, and thus born again by the seed of Yeshua and grafted into the family of Abraham through whom all of the promises were made. Jesus was a Jew and King of the Jews and by accepting Him I am grafted into His family and Abraham becomes my earthly Father and Yahweh God becomes my heavenly Father.

This is a vital part of the identity of the Remnant that has been ignored by many of those who call themselves Remnant. They ARE remnant people because they believe in Yeshua, but up to this point in time, they have not realized just what it meant to be born again into Yeshua’s kingdom.

It is within this prophetic understanding that I have come to warn people and to do my little part in calling people out of Babylon. Satan did a most horrible thing when he diverted Christianity from their Judeo/Christian roots and married them to the pagans. In that way they built a religious tower of Babel, which God had to come down and shatter with the Reformation.  He scattered the people into many denominations who then took the Gospel to the whole world. And now, here in the last days< God is working to draw us back into our Jewish roots.

He is bringing to our attention His Feast Days because He wants us to understand the issues we face in these last days. We stand in a time when the Jews will come to Yeshuah, while the church will understand that Yeshua was a Jew and that we were grafted into His family. We did not replace the Jews. Indeed we too are Abraham’s seed through Jesus Christ and heirs according to promise.

THEY KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS

So when the church says that the law was done away, they have to take that up with Jesus who said that not one jot or tittle will be removed from the Law until all is accomplished... And this is another point where the so called Remnant misses it. The law is designed to bring us to the foot of the cross where we die to the law and we are born again by the Spirit of Christ. The law has finished its work in those who are born again, but it is very much alive and in control of all who have not been born again.

But this does not mean that borne again believers are now free to break the law. Indeed the law has been written in their hearts by the Holy Spirit and so, Romans 8:4 tells us that the law is fulfilled in us who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit... The law has not been done away… rather it has become a part of our being in Christ. We walk in obedience to Him because it is now in our hearts to do so.

So this replacing of God’s laws with man’s laws was Satan’s doing and it was also designed to lead the church astray and that too is something that must be addressed in these last days. If you want to be among the Remnant people of God, then you need to become what the Bible calls a Remnant person.

THEY HAVE THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS

There are many who claim to have Jesus and they are willing to testify about Him and as such they really are God’s people. But as we come into the home stretch clearer distinctions must be made about the testimony of Jesus. It is not just a matter of sharing Jesus… it is a matter of having the testimony of Jesus, which the Bible explains to us is the Spirit of Prophecy.

And for you Adventists I am not referring to the writings of Ellen White. The Bible is sufficient for our every need and doctrine and we don’t need to go elsewhere. Of course we read all kinds of books and it is good to learn from those who passed this way before us. What I am saying is, don’t eclipse the bible by making other writings infallible. They are not and though they can bless us, they cannot replace the transforming power of God’s Word. There can never be two infallible sources.

The moon has light, but none of its own. It can only reflect the light of the sun. Therefore since we are children of the day rather than children of the night, we must use the sun for our light. (See 1 Thess. 5: 1-6 also Rev. 22:18, 19.

The Testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy. It is found in our Bibles from Genesis to Revelation. It is by the Holy Spirit that we are sealed. “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30

In Him you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation- having also believed you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise who is given as a pledge of our inheritance.

The Holy Spirit is the agent through which Jesus saves us. HE is the presence of Jesus in our hearts, HE is the Spirit of God and we must walk in Him and abide in Him and obey Him. It is the Holy Spirit that makes the Word alive with transforming power.

When people say they don’t need to study prophecy, they have no idea that they are grieving the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of Prophecy. And they are grieving Jesus as well, because the Book of Revelation is a revelation of Jesus Christ. It shows us Yeshua’s itinerary for finishing up Satan’s kingdom and then returning as King of kings and Lord of lords.

I believe we are about to enter into that final conflagration. If so, then we need to become God’s Remnant people who keep His commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus. WE need to rejoin the seed line of faith, being grafted in through Jesus Christ to be a part of Abraham’s seed and heirs according to promise. We need to study Bible prophecy for what it is… the testimony of Jesus. WE need to return to the foundations of our faith, for indeed the New Covenant sits upon the foundation of the Old Covenant. If we do not do this then our doctrines will lead us astray.

Well, that’s all I will say about this subject for now. This is intended to be a personal message to those who are seeking truth in these last days. It is not intended to be an argument between organizations or any such thing. It is rather for our admonition upon which the ends of the age have come. In all of these things, I am a student and not a teacher. Like you I am probing God’s heart and His Word for answers. I only share what I discover so that we can grow together. Blessings.
